hyper-capitalism and poverty as a result of trade agreements biased in favour of the USA and the USA’s strong presence in building the Philippines’ current US-centric capitalist culture without the limitations in place to prevent its extremes of poverty

Buddhism was divided in to two sects, and Theravada Buddhism is one of the two. Theravada Buddhism is the new version of Buddhism. They follow the teachings and practices of Sidharta Gautama or famously known as Buddha. They do follow the 8 fold paths and the 5 precepts to reach nirvana and be an Arhat, a person who reaches the enlightenment.
