1993 Vauxhall Lotus Carlton
Lotus Carlton (also known as Vauxhall Lotus Carlton, Lotus Omega, and Opel Lotus Omega) is a Vauxhall Carlton/Opel Omega A sedan. Carlton was launched in 1991 as an Opel Omega sedan series produced by Vauxhall. Visually, there are some hints to the car's sporty characteristics, including a rear spoiler, sophisticated body kit, and Lotus logo. The Carlton sedan produced at the Lotus factory is equipped with a 3.6-liter 377-horsepower inline six-cylinder engine, improved chassis, and gearbox. All of these changes, allowed Carlton to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds, reaching a dizzying speed of 285 km/h. Lotus Carlton vehicles quickly became popular, however, the prices were high at the time, reaching 48,000 pounds (90,000 US dollars), and there was a recession in the UK, so the majority of people could not afford to buy them. Only 950 Lotus Carltons were sold and about 285 reached the UK. Despite the small number of Lotus Carlton sedans officially sold in the UK, they were classics from the beginning, just like most iconic cars of the time. Even almost 30 years after the end of production, the Lotus modified engine is showing great performance. Once you push the accelerator pedal, it will instantly gain momentum and hurtle towards the horizon, and when you hit the throttle, the speed will rapidly increase. Although the Lotus Carlton’s body kit looks large, it is a small thing by today's standards. Combine this with excellent visibility (a low window line and narrow pillars), and you will soon feel safe enough to drive along the countryside roads. The 265mm wide rear tires and standard limited-slip differential can improve traction, but if something goes wrong, there are no clever electronics that can help. Even though it appears to be a traditional, analog-era car, it remains composed in various situations, whether you are just rolling along or driving at top speed. Most importantly, Carlton makes you more involved in the driving process than many modern supercars. Although in some way it does feel like a 30-year old car, its overall performance is still quite impressive.

TVR Chimaera
The TVR Chimaera is a two-seater roadster sports automobile produced by TVR from 1992 to 2003. Those who recall Greek myths from school will recognize the car's moniker. Chimaera was a monster made up of several animal parts. During its manufacturing run, the two-seater was outfitted with engines varying in size from a 4.0l V8 to a 5.0l V8. The Chimaera was initially intended to contain TVR's all-new AJP8 engine, which was developed and constructed in-house. Due to development troubles, the dependable Rover V8-based engines of 240bhp 4.0 (also available in 275bhp High-Compression), 280bhp 4.3, 285bhp 4.5-litre, or 340bhp 5.0-litre size were utilised. Chimaera was intended to replace the Rover-powered Griffiths, but demand for both versions was high enough to warrant their continued presence. The 4.3-litre automobile was produced until 1994, when it was superseded by the 4.0-litre High Compression variant, with the 5.0-litre model following soon after. In 1996, the 4.0 HC was replaced by the 4.5, while the standard 4.0 was phased out in 1998. The Chimaera line had a minor redesign in 1997, with revisions to the nose, tail, and interior. A new set of changes was introduced in 2001 when the rear lights were replaced with a cluster of four lights. Inside, the dials were adorned with aluminum ornamentation. Subtle suspension tweaks were also done to enhance the ride. On the wide road, the TVR Chimaera is loud, fast, and difficult to drive at times. The V8 engines seem lethargic until you rev them over 3500rpm and they start shrieking. Keep the tachometer around 5000rpm, and the engine will create a roar that will give you goosebumps. You'll drop the lid, look for tunnels, and blast through them in third gear, laughing with delight. That is the essence of having a TVR. Even the standard 4.0-litre vehicle, which lacks traction control, must be cautiously driven. On a slick, twisting road, you'll need to be precise and controlled with your gas pedal and steering. Chimaera might seem quite large and unwieldy, yet the handling is great, and the competent driver will enjoy the ride. The Chimaera seems the most spectacular vehicle to be in, with finely stitched leather trim, daring sculpting, and incredibly expensive-looking metal external panels. A high transmission tunnel dominates the interior, capped by an aluminum gear knob. Trim levels vary greatly, but standard features include alloy wheels and adjustable steering. If you're looking for a vehicle that can give pure, unfettered drama right away, and you're willing to take additional care while driving it due to its lack of safety equipment, then the TVR Chimaera is a must-have. A well-maintained version is quite reliable, and the basic components are easy to repair when they break down. Read the full article

Banksy Collectible Di-Faced Tenners
The Di-Faced Tenners force us to reconsider the worth of money as well as the cost of riches and power in terms of how they impact us as people and as a community. The Di Faced Tenner spoofs genuine £10 notes and was designed and printed by the legendary graffiti artist Banksy. Renowned Banksy banknotes were created by the artist in 2004, accompanied with an official document of provenance signed by Banksy's first art agent, Steve Lazarides of Laz Inc. The piece comprised five £10 notes printed on both sides. There were 50 unsigned and 50 signed copies, as well as 32 Artist's Proofs. ‘Di Faced' is a play on the term ‘defaced,' and alludes to the fact that Banksy has changed the iconic £10 note by substituting the picture of Queen Elizabeth II with that of the deceased Princess Diana. The artwork can be seen as a reflection on Diana's separation from the royal family, her condemnation of the British royal establishment, and the subsequent conflict with the press. Instead of 'Bank of England,' the note says 'Banksy of England.' An inscription beneath the flag says, 'I promise to pay the bearer on demand the ultimate price', an allusion to the late Princess Diana's death. The reverse side of the print is almost unaltered, except the phrase 'Trust No One' inscribed in the lower-right corner beneath Charles Darwin's picture. The note is printed on paper that is nearly identical to that used on official UK money. It is estimated that 100,000 Di Faced Tenner £10 notes were produced in 2004. Nobody, even Banksy, knows how many copies were printed. However, one thing is certain: Banksy's Di Faced Tenner notes are worth far more than the paper on which they were printed. Look for the following indicators of authenticity before purchasing a Di Faced Tenner: • ‘Banksy of England’ has taken the place of “Bank of England.” • Princess Diana's face takes the place of Queen Elizabeth II's. • The picture of Charles Darwin remains on the back. Underneath, the phrase "Trust No One" should appear. • The lines "I promise to pay the bearer on demand the ultimate price' should be printed on the face of the note. • Genuine Di Faced Tenner notes should be 5 45 x 3 inches in size (7.62 x 14.61 cm). Anything smaller or greater indicates a counterfeit note. • Banksy produced his Di Faced Tenner notes on lightweight paper, similar to the material used to print genuine money. Fake notes are printed on heavy paper. • A Di Faced Tenner note accompanied by a certificate of authenticity produced by Banksy's former agent Steven Lazarides is genuine. The hologram on Lazarides' certificates of authenticity should match the Di Faced Tenner it comes with. Link to image https://twitter.com/CAUK2020/status/1413878517524205571 Read the full article

Nautical Framed Prints (1800-1868) by John Wilson Carmichael
John Wilson Carmichael (also known as James Wilson Carmichael) was born in Newcastle and was a shipbuilder’s apprentice in his youth. His interest in sailing may be attributed to his father, a carpenter by trade, who specialised in shipbuilding. Carmichael followed in his father's footsteps and learned the same craftsmanship. He was attracted to the sea and spent several years on a transport ship. He then worked in Newcastle for the carpentry company Farrington & Bros, which was also involved in shipbuilding. At that time, Carmichael discovered his interest and talent for painting, and the company owners gave him his first paint-box. At the age of 23, he started his painting workshop and shared the premises with renowned landscape painter Thomas Miles Richardson on Blackett Street in Newcastle. Next door to his studio was the Northern Academy of Arts Gallery, where Carmichael exhibited many of his works painted with oil and watercolors. His paintings are characterised by the brilliance and stunning three-dimensionality. The sky is usually the dominant element of the composition, sometimes clear and friendly, sometimes ominous, covered by grey clouds, or full of dust from cannon fire. Frigates with sails are depicted either anchored peacefully in the bay, floating in the calm water, or facing the dark waves and thunderstorms. In the background, you can often see hills, magnificent buildings, fortresses, or lighthouses rising enveloped in mist. Carmichael was inspired by extensive travels in Italy and the Netherlands, where he also painted merchant ships in ports and coastal areas. In 1847, he moved from Newcastle to London, and then exhibited his paintings in important galleries such as the Royal Academy and the Society of British Artists. His studio is headquartered in Chelsea, London, where many Victorian artists, including J. Turner, used to live and work. Carmichael worked for the Illustrated London News, a famous English weekly magazine at the time. In 1854, he was sent to the Baltic Sea to depict scenes of the Crimean War, but Carmichael also captured more delightful moments in his paintings. He impressively portrayed the maritime scene, in which the British explorer James Clark Ross undertook an expedition in Antarctica. Nautical Framed Prints (1800-1868) by John Wilson Carmichael will be a perfect addition to any home, boat, gallery or collection. WHAT MAKES A PRIVATE LICENSE PLATE VALUABLE?
For many decades, it was just a question of chance whether your license plate spelt out a name or resembled a well-known phrase. Obtaining a plate currently deemed trendy was a completely random occurrence, issued by the DVLA without any thought for this.
After some time, traders in used number plates started to notice patterns in the types of plates people were purchasing and the quantities of money they were prepared to pay for them. Certain plates were obviously seen as more precious than others, and plate traders started purchasing and selling them based on specific characteristics.
While what makes a number plate valuable depends on the buyer’s viewpoint, there are several obvious reasons why certain registrations are more desirable than others. For a variety of reasons, number plates may be purchased and sold for large sums; in some cases, the number plate is worth more than the car itself.
Private registration plate valuation requires the expertise and experience of number plate dealers, and the market value of a personal plate is determined by a variety of variables.
In general, the age and originality of a number plate are the most important variables determining its worth. Older plates are usually sold at a greater price and are also more scarce since there are fewer of them. Fewer numeric digits on a license plate increase its worth, with 1’s being the most desirable and therefore the most costly.
The popularity of initials influences the value of private registration plates. The more popular the initials, the more expensive the registration. The shortest, dateless registrations with one number and one letter – for example, A 1 – are the most valued.
What is the Value of My License Plate?
To determine the value of your license plate, examine the desirable characteristics in registrations and see whether yours checks any of these boxes.
The main element influencing the price of a plate is demand. The greater the number of buyers that are interested in your registration, the higher the price you will get for it. You may discover that you have a lot of prospective buyers vying for your plate, which may push up the selling price.
The age of a number plate may also be a significant factor in determining its value. The oldest number plates, often known as dateless plates, are frequently sought after. These early plates, unlike the present registrations and the prefix and suffix type plates that preceded them, do not contain an age indication. This may be a strong selling factor for automobile owners who want to conceal the age of their vehicle.
Shorter registrations are likewise much sought after. While this is mostly owing to the fact that they are older number plates, there are additional reasons why a plate with fewer characters is regarded more valuable. It is permissible to have the width of your license plate reduced as long as the necessary margin surrounding the characters remains. A lower amount of alphanumeric characters results in a smaller plate, which allows more of the vehicle carrying it to be seen.
Finally, if the characters on a license plate match a name, popular phrase, or word, the value may increase. The more closely it resembles the name or term, the higher its value is likely to be.
The first step in selling a license plate is to obtain an accurate assessment of its value.
Valuing a license plate on your own may require time, patience, and extensive study. Getting professional help from a number plate specialist, for example, Connoisseurs Private Plates is a much quicker and simpler method to finish the procedure.
We will send you our evaluation and tell you how much your plate is worth, and if you agree, we can assist you with selling it.

SIGNED JOHN WALLACE STILL LIFE OIL CANVAS ON WOOD REALISM PAINTING FRUIT VASE
A still life is an art genre, in which the subject is an ensemble of inanimate items. The typical still life artworks usually represent fruit and flowers, as well as domestic items such as tableware and linen.
The phrase “still life” comes from the Dutch word stilleven, which became popular in the 16th century.
The Egyptians created the first known still life paintings in the 15th century BC. Similar representations of inanimate things were produced by the ancient Greeks and Romans. While they mostly used still life subjects for mosaics, they also used it for frescoes. Artists used the still life for religious reasons throughout the Middle Ages. They utilised symbolic groupings to adorn liturgical texts in addition to integrating them into representations of Biblical themes.
Still life remained one of the most popular genres at the turn of the twentieth century. It attracted the interest that is usually drawn to oddities, to works in which the human hand’s talent is ostentatiously exhibited functioning in false mimicry of nature. It was, however, so lifelike that you could forget you were gazing at a photograph.
If a talented artist turns to natural subjects and copies their forms and colors exactly and conscientiously, truly and diligently, and always beginning and ending in front of them, that artist will always be worthwhile, because it follows unequivocally that his works will be influential and diverse. Such topics must be readily obtained, examined at leisure, and copied quietly; the mind must be relaxed. The renowned artwork Still Life Oil Canvas on Wood Realism Painting Fruit Vase by John Wallace is a copy of the famous early 20th century impressionist oil painting. The artwork depicts a classic still life scene – apples, grapes, cherries, a pear, and a jug of water – and is an exact replica of the subject.
The artwork is handled with great care, including realistic shading, texturing, and lighting.
This Still Life Fruit Vase oil painting will look great in any home, workplace, or gallery.
The painting is in immaculate condition. There are no visible cracks or scratches.
The shipping costs are borne by the buyer. The sender will supply a strong artwork box at no cost.

Connoisseurs Private Plates — Post-Brexit Number Plates Guide
The UK's Brexit transition phase with the EU ended on December 31, 2020. As a result, starting from January 1, 2021, UK-registered vehicles are no longer permitted to display number plates bearing the GB EU flag.
The revised Statutory clarifies that installing number plates with the GB EU flag was only permitted during the transition period, while the UK was still a member of the European Union. When the Brexit transition period ended on December 31, 2020, the United Kingdom formally left the EU, so the flag is no longer allowed.
The great news is that if you already own GB EU plates, you may keep them and do not need to alter them. But you must show an oval GB sticker or badge if you want to drive within Europe after Brexit.
Number Plates and Oval GB Stickers After Brexit
Prior to Brexit, UK-registered automobiles in the EU and EEA countries had to carry a GB sticker on the rear, unless vehicle was equipped with a Euro-plate (a number plate that shows both an EU and a GB flag.
These regulations have changed now that the UK has left the EU with an agreement. If your vehicle has a Euro-plate, as well as if the number plate does not include a national ID, you must now have a GB sticker.
However, you are not obliged to have a GB sticker, if your car's license plate includes the GB emblem on its own or in combination with the Union Jack.
The only exemptions to these regulations are the Republic of Ireland, where you do not require a GB sticker while driving a UK-registered vehicle, irrespective of what sort of license plate it has, as well as Spain, Cyprus, and Malta, where you are obliged to have a GB sticker, no matter what type of number plate your vehicle has.
Will Number Plate Formats Change as a Result of Brexit?
These are determined by the DVLA and have nothing to do with Brexit. This fact is obvious since GB license plates are in an entirely different format from those in any other European country. Therefore, that section of the license plate has not been modified as a result of Brexit.
And that pretty much describes British license plates after Brexit. With this knowledge on whether or not number plates will change after Brexit, perhaps you are well equipped for all possibilities, and you may go forward into the realm of Brexit without concerns.

It's lightweight too – at 36.5 grams (for the 44mm edition) we didn't feel it weighing down our wrist very often, and it's sometimes easy to forget you have it on.

Activity tracking gives you the inspiration to keep fit and is ideal for those who want to take their exercises to the next level.

Year 2000 Rolex Yacht Master 16622
This Rolex Yacht-Master 116622 is a classical timepiece that captures the spirit and feeling of flamboyant confidence. This watch emphasizes both elegance and function, having such features as stainless steel case, screw down crown (secure), automatic (the best quality for an automatic movement) self-winding chronometer, and scratch resistant dial.
When the Yacht-Master was originally launched in 1992, it seemed to build on the popularity of Rolex's first nautically themed watch, the Submariner. Although it seems to be early Rolex Daytona models, the original Yacht-Master may have been a reworking of the Submariner. Many modifications were made, notably the size, which was somewhat larger than the Dayton's 36mm, at 39.5mm. Other modifications were a permanently soldered etched bezel insert, bigger hands and maxi-markers, and smooth, rounded corners.
The 40 mm black dial features luminescent hand and hour markers. Automatic movement with hours, minutes, seconds and date functions. Water resistant to 200 m (660 ft).
With a Rolex Oyster bracelet, a folding Oysterlock safety clasp, and the 5mm comfort extension system, this watch is immediately identifiable as the most luxurious platinum item amid other Rolex collections.
This Rolex Yacht-Master is in excellent condition and comes with the original packaging and warranty card.
Rolex Yacht Master 16622 fitted with a later blue dial from the 116622, we also have the original platinum dial as well as a rubber strap.
The watch has been serviced and comes with the service papers and it has a full set of initials on the case back.
