Taking detours from my current project for another one by trying to make this ancient fanfic work
Ideas:
-Rather than very dubious-consenual sex, it's a dubious-consensual blood ritual that Circe uses to get pregnant (whether that's better or not is up to the individual but I suppose it would generally be more palatable. Circe wanted an heir to pass her knowledge to and Odysseus in this is basically a donor dad)
-At 15 Telegone learns she has another half of family she doesn't know of and fucks off in the middle of the night to Ithaca without her mom knowing and then has to learn to integrate herself into human culture
-Somewhere along the line she gets taken in as one of Penelope's slaves and the other slave girls are worried for her because she's young and pretty and there are a lot of fucking men currently in the house, but also because she's wreckless and has no qualms about using violence
-Resembles her grandmother

I'm surprised no one else talks about how weird Arthur and Guinevere's son is.
My guess for this is that it's a Tynged (or Geas in popular knowledge) of some sort that was placed on the Royal Prince for some reason.

me, every single time i see people (especially women) talking about the divine feminine energy, or the sacredness of the womb or whatever it is now:

[image description: a two-panel photo of a person dialling a number and then placing the phone to their ear. the contact is saved as ‘Ursula K. Le Guin’ /end ID]
context is this quote by her:
But I didn’t and still don’t like making a cult of women’s knowledge, preening ourselves on knowing things men don’t know, women’s deep irrational wisdom, women’s instinctive knowledge of Nature, and so on. All that all too often merely reinforces the masculinist idea of women as primitive and inferior – women’s knowledge as elementary, primitive, always down below at the dark roots, while men get to cultivate and own the flowers and crops that come up into the light. But why should women keep talking baby talk while men get to grow up? Why should women feel blindly while men get to think?

March to Camelot: Ruin
"I don't want to take care of this face anymore"
#Artist notes if anyone wants to read: I wanted to indulge more in my oc after the last piece#which was a general concept (a meal for giants working in camelot thats considered “normal” in their standards)#at first I started with actual ruins like an aftermath of the war for Camelot bu then shifted to something more personal for the character#I don't want to take care of this face anymore -> “I don't want to take care of myself or my image” -> “either I ruin it or it'll ruin me”#march to camelot#yonoart#eirian (oc)#the arian altar(project)#my post
