Transgenderism and the Feminist Movement are mutually exclusive.
Are we aware enough to realize this yet? Or is it not politically correct enough to acknowledge that one movement defines “woman” as a feeling and promotes the idea that a woman who breaks stereotypical behavior is less of a woman and more like a man and vice versa?
#transgender#feminism#guess I'm a terf cause I don't agree that having short hair and liking cars makes me a boy#or that women should be able to have discussions about their anatomy and estrogen without apologizing for 'excluding' men

Sorry for the late response. It’s been a while since I’ve been on here.
I argue more the second point than the first. I think there’s an alarming amount of casualness on the topic of abortion coming from Pro-choice leadership which gives the impression that an abortion is something that you shouldn’t really think about. Worse still is the great lack of information given on abortions unless you seek it out deliberately. No matter what women are going to get abortions whether they’re legal or not. I have no delusions that because something is made illegal that it will disappear.
If a woman is considering an abortion, I want her to be accurately informed of the procedure and medical risks, accurately informed of options for adoption, and accurately informed of the status of her baby and this can only happen if it is legally mandated. If she still gets an abortion, it’s sad and disappointing to me, but it’s not my place to judge her.
My main goal currently is to get a united front for better contraceptive research and better, more accurate, sex-ed and more financial and community support to help women who would abort for financial reasons. I think there’s too much debate on this issue and not enough discussion on solutions and without that, we will not have the power or focus to improve the situation.
I’m Pro-Life and tired of it being mocked so here we go
Now, I absolutely believe that it is a woman’s choice to get pregnant or not but more on that later. This is a long one, folks. Buckle in for health class.
This is not a popular opinion on tumblr and that is because people like to pretend that things are what they’ve heard repeated rather than do their own research and often that means it’s a crisis, it’s an outrage, and it’s an attack. So here’s my research to support the other pro-lifers out there.
Do I believe there are exceptions for abortion? Yes, Of course.

If a doctor has a grown patient that is 73 Lbs soaking wet, is experiencing depression and anxiety, and claims that they are overweight, would the doctor agree and tell them that they must eat less and exercise more? Set up a weight-loss program?
Would a friend of that patient nod their head at the claim and say “Yeah, I mean if you say you’re overweight, then you must be”?
The answer is no.
Then why is it that someone who is born a woman or a man can say that they are something else while experiencing depression and anxiety, and the only answer given to them is that they must be right despite their genetics, body chemistry, and physical capacities? That the only way they will ever be able to fully accept themselves is by changing their basic logical makeup as much as they can rather than going to therapy to learn to accept their bodies?
The claim that if we as a society do not accept someone’s preferred gender, then we will drive them to suicide is horrible. Why? Because people who commit suicide have depression. Depression and anxiety don’t go away because you have a sex change. Depression and anxiety don’t go away because you are loved by many. Depression and anxiety lessen when you have counselling, honest support, and sometimes medication that confronts the mental illness. Leading people to believe that there is a surgical fix that will make them feel comfortable in their bodies while informing them that they don’t have a mental illness (the rest of the world is just wrong) is irresponsible and dangerous.
If someone can honestly and straightforwardly argue this I really want to hear it because I just don’t understand how this is supposed to make sense. Really, I just don’t get it.

Racism - a favorite topic of tumblr SJWs everywhere.
But does anyone talk about how cyclical our attempts to stop racism are?
Like, we’ve learned through experience how to best eliminate racism from people and the answer is kinda stupid easy: stop trying to make differences that don’t exist. Different skin color? Fine. That exists. It’s when we start to glue possible differences together that we get stereotypes, and often incorrect/toxic ones.
The problem we have now in our society is we are now letting lives of ancestors, or even other people’s ancestors, affect our self-image and schools of thought.
There is nothing wrong with history, in fact, I personally believe we don’t study history nearly enough or as extensively as we should. We study up on smaller, localized issues - which is fine - but then we stay in that bubble. We don’t grab any context of the world at that time. And as a result of staying in this tiny portion of the history of our world, we become increasingly self-centered without really realizing it.
The problem is that too many people are being instilled with and instill in others, this notion that nothing in the last 50-200 years has changed. The media is the biggest culprit of this, and I mean big. Why do this? Cause normal life and positivity don’t make headlines. It doesn’t matter how many good deeds are done every day, how many times people stand up for someone else and say “hey, that’s not right”, or how many times its totally not necessary because people in this day and age have figured out how to take a subway and sit beside a person of a different race.
Everyone made a massive deal of Charlottesville, which, yeah, it was bad. It’s horrible to be confronted with the fact that some people still think that way and try to make others suffer. You know what though? If that was supposed to be the biggest gathering of white supremacists in decades... that was actually pretty sad. They had around 200 people? Yet there are approximately 323.1 million people in the US. They are outnumbered. Racism is alive, but it is sick and dying.
But really, the dwindling number of racists in America should not be the priority. Goodness knows, they’re not nearly as likely to repopulate as they are to grow up so either way, it’s a dying breed. What we should be concerned about is how we’re reacting to racism in a way that’s making it worse. Here’s what we’re doing wrong and it starts with the kids.
I’m going to use the most prominent racial division between Black and White Americans here.
Black parents: Now, remember, because we’re black, life is gonna be harder for you than the white kids in your class just like black people in the past. White people might treat you different, they might say things that’ll hurt you. That’s just how it is, alright? Someday it’ll get better, but for now, keep an eye on them.
White parents: Now, remember, because we’re white, we have a responsibility to undo what other white people in the past have done. So you have to treat those black kids in your class extra careful, cause we don’t wanna offend them. They could get hurt by the things you say. That’s just how it is, alright? Someday it’ll get better, but for now, keep an eye on them.
And the kids grow up. The black kid has a few bad experience with white people, they stand out starkly in their mind because their attention has been drawn to it. Insults about their skin color whirl around in their memory. Racism makes them feel sick to their stomach so much that they speak out against the unfair treatment. Fine.
The white kid has a few bad experiences with black people, they stand out starkly in their mind. Insults about their skin color whirl around in their memory. But they know they’re not supposed to say anything. After all, they’re white. They’re supposed to be the bigger person and let go of bad experiences that others might find offensive if brought up. After all, they hear black people speaking out against the unfair treatment so they figure it’s just their problem to deal with.
Welcome to the brand new form of racism. It’s the “pity” racism. It’s the “you poor uncivilized dears, you need all the help you can get and all of the participation trophies we can hand you cause goodness knows because of your skin color you could never win on your own” and it doesn’t help. Both types of racism are now clashing horribly but nothing is getting better for non-white Americans.
It’s a balance that society hasn’t been able to handle. Either the white population despises other ethnicities and wants them to fail, or they helicopter parent them so they’re often doomed fail. When there are “quotas” on the percentages that universities and businesses must fill on members of other races, it’s turning human beings into objects and numbers and it’s a problem. (for another post).
If Racism is sick and dying of the cancer that it is, pity-racism is the tumor and it’s gotta go. If you really want the world to not judge anyone based on skin color, you cannot make a double standard.
#racism#here's my rant#no one should hate based on color#no one should insist that someone is helpless based on color either#promote education#education and job growth are the keys to eliminating poverty

A Message to Fandoms
Why on earth do you push so hard for a straight character to be bi or gay to the point where even if no such relationship is ever personified on-screen, you name them as a “gay icon”? Even when there are perfectly good LGBT+ relationships that are appearing in media of every kind, sometimes even as the main romance of the story, but those are passed up in favor of shipping 2 (usually skinny, sometimes beefcake-y) white guys. Like every time.
You do know what this feels like, right? Imagine if all of those fangirls of all ages who really wanted some screen time of their favorite men making out and then some... were gender swapped? If it was a bunch of teenage boys or even grown men who wanted to watch two women going at it on screen?
If it were more balanced across the board of race, age, and sexuality, it might be less of an issue but it’s time to face the music. It’s not about getting LGBT+ representation on screen. It’s not about the characters being happy or cared for. It’s not about showing that love as equally valid, not those fangirls.
It’s about a bunch of women, young and old, going to the standard of the greasiest men in society because they want to satisfy their fetishes for gay sex. Or read it, in the case of fanfics.
If they cared about the LGBT+ community, they would support and rally for actual LGBT+ characters just as passionately as they promote LGBT+ relationships. Instead, they often go “Oh, okay” and move on while still pausing at every moment that their 2 white dudes look at each other. They would also care a great deal more about how healthy those relationships are, but a lot of the stories are hardcore near rape-y porn in print, not healthy, realistic, or rational. Once again: just like actual porn tends to be. Fake, intense, and toxic.
“But wait!” you say “LGBT+ couples are never given the same attention or happy endings as Het-couples”. Well, my dear, who are the viewers? TV shows and movies are media, they are a consumer good. We, the consumers, have a great deal of influence over what writers and directors choose to do. When Game of Thrones writers saw that sex and violence grabbed viewers when the storyline was still in the air, what happened? A lot of graphic sex and violence.
Some writers are just crappy and have the same creepy fetishes as the trouble-fans described above. The answer to them are simple: If they’re crappy writers, don’t watch their stuff. They lose money and support and end up having to change of leave the business, not to mention other writers see and learn from them. Win-Win.
When it comes to unfulfilling or tragic relationship endings, the common remaining reason is often as follows:
1. They’re not supported when they do show up, so writers demote them to sub-plot or get rid of them in some way since they’re not getting the audience’s attention. OR
2. The writers put those characters together, often very dramatically and sometimes entirely out of nowhere, to grab the attention of the viewers and go “Oh look at us, we’re so progressive. Everyone should watch our show!” but they don’t have a long-range plan for that couple so it ends up falling apart in some way. Why don’t they have a long range plan? See #1. It becomes a token “LGBT APPROVED” moment before they move on to the storyline they want to write that will keep viewers attention. (See Clarke and Lexa on The 100). This is bad writing but is somehow forgiven?? Don’t know why.
So, if you find that your OTPs are frequently/entirely white men between 17-30 (or 117-130. Hi Marvel, RoTG, and Twillight fans) and you constantly ignore points made on the healthiness of it or actual canon behavior of both or one half of the ship in favor or shipping it: you have a fetish. It’s not supportive, it’s pervy.
Peace out.

But the Pro-Choice movement too often uses the exceptions to justify the majority. The percentage of rapes that result in a pregnancy is 5%. 5% This is from 2 different studies.
This is not even the percentage of women who are raped who actually choose to have an abortion. In fact, the women who choose (not forced mind you, I’m not heartless) to keep their baby often recover easier and faster from the trauma as they have something good to focus on and help them heal.
So when it comes to the other 95% of women, I have problems. The natural biological consequence of sex is reproduction. The whole point of sex is to build on the relationship between partners (Oxytocin, folks, nothing like it apart from straight up dopamine) and to reproduce.
Also, if any of your are interested, John F. Kennedy, Victoria Woodhull, the first female candidate for president, Elizabeth Blackwell, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, the latter being notable suffragettes, were all very anti-abortion.
“The Revolution published a piece, attributable to [Susan B.] Anthony, that said abortion was a choice that would burden both a woman’s “conscience in life and soul in death” and also ultimately an exploitation of women.” (http://time.com/4093214/suffragettes-abortion/)
Times have changed and this is a hydra of a problem so I’m not going to just say ‘abstinence is all you need’ because I’m not in charge of anyone’s sex life. People have been sleeping together out of wedlock for centuries and it’s not just going to go away. However, if we’re talking about a woman’s right to choose, why is the woman’s right to choose to have sex somehow not a factor?
So, key issues: Contraception, Science/Biology, Inhumanity, and Responsibility.
#1 Contraception. We need better contraceptive methods. Period. I especially promote researching better male contraceptives cause condoms are clearly not cutting it and, as spoken before, it’s a lot safer to unload a gun than to shoot at a bulletproof vest. It bothers me a great deal that people on both sides of this debate overlook that we can stand united on this front at the very least. No one should really be arguing with me on this. It’s gotta get better.
Also, better sex-education and to me, this means parents stepping up and being parents and giving the freaking Talk like the adults they are as well as discussing safe contraceptive methods. Sex-Ed classes are failing miserably with a nasty combination of misinformation and the creation of false confidence so teens believe that they know enough about what they’re doing to not worry about the consequences. (Fun fact: Planned Parenthood has actually taken over Sex-Ed program for multiple states in the North West and STDs and Pregnancy rates have been on the rise there compared to the alternative classes. These are the results of a 5 year report from the HHS Office of Adolescent Health.)
So from this, I hope it’s clear that I truly believe that women have the right to choose whether or not to be pregnant. I simply argue against abortion.
#2. Science/Biology. When does life begin? Some say at birth, some say only if the mother wants the child. Imagine for me, if you will, that NASA discovered bacteria growing in the ice just below the Martian landscape. There would be a freak out! Why? Because it would be life on another planet! Now, you tell me that science classifies bacteria as living creatures that we can study, that we protect in several instances because of their potential to replicate vaccines and insulin... but something that has fingers, toes, a functional nervous system, and studies are going on out whether or not can dream... is only considered alive if it’s wanted by the mother? Wake up call: That’s not science. That’s strictly opinion and it’s an opinion that science refutes.
“But it’s just a glob of cells. It’s not a real person.” Have you taken a biology course? What are you made of? What are all living things made of? Cells. What are a bunch of cells called? Tissue. What do tissues make? Organs and on to organ systems and a body. You are a glob of cells. I’ll repeat that really quick. YOU ARE TECHNICALLY A GLOB OF CELLS. So, yeah. Of course that’s what you’re going to be told if you’re getting an abortion. Abortion clinics want your business. They want your money. Why else does Planned Parenthood not do ultrasounds unless you’ve agreed to have an abortion already?
“ I worked at Planned Parenthood here in New Jersey and they don't do ultrasounds unless you are there for an abortion. They only do gynceology. Your best bet is to call and ask. “ (direct quote. Name not to be disclosed.)
“ Another issue that we ran into quite often, was when women would come in who had a legitimate problem, for example polycystic ovary syndrome, or maybe fibroids, or something like that, who we could not diagnose because there were no ultrasound technicians or any type of ultrasound other than the ultrasound that is available at the abortion facilities. “ - Ramona Trevino, Former Planned Parenthood Manager who has since joined the Pro-Life movement
So, yeah. I don’t trust or support Planned Parenthood at all let alone to define for me what life is.
Btw, 1st trimester of pregnancy ends at 12 weeks. This is a miscarried baby at 12 weeks.
Eyes, finger, toes, organs, ears, cartilage forming bones, all of these and more are present and people degrade it to “a clump of cells” making is sound like there’s no shape or form or potential to a fetus. That’s not science. That’s intentional deception.
#3 It’s entirely inhumane. For those of you who are unaware of what each trimester level abortion is, it’s more and more horrible the more you research exactly what “ D & X or Intrauterine Cranial Decompression” means.
The first is usually just a pill, 2 really, that essentially trigger your period x 5. There is immense bleeding, cramping, general pain and discomfort and it goes on for sometimes over a week. If you were to contact Planned Parenthood about concerns you have (which a great deal of young teen girls will do) you will be told to go to the emergency room and tell them you’re simply having a miscarriage. Meanwhile a chemical is in your body that can have bad reactions to medications you may receive to stop the bleeding. In short, as soon as you leave the clinic, Planned Parenthood is done with you until the next time you’re pregnant. The other possible option is to have the fetus sucked out of you with a vacuum, often in pieces but sometimes as one singular body.
2nd Trimester: Either a chemical solution is inserted into the amniotic sac to basically burn the fetus to death inside of you - this sometimes fails and instead triggers an early labor - before the now dead baby leaves in a miscarriage, or a doctor will basically take a mini ice cream scooper and break the baby into pieces before scooping them out. Option three involves the baby being torn into pieces and vacuumed out instead. Don’t believe me? The way they check that the procedure is done is they catalog that each part of the baby is present. There have been babies born at 16 weeks - the end of the 2nd trimester - that have since grown up.
3rd trimester - Often illegal now but some people don’t care: Chemical solution again followed by crushing the baby’s skull so it can be pulled out through the vaginal cavity often followed once again by a vacuum to get the brain matter and leftover pieces out of the uterus. If you don’t think that’s sick, you’re too far gone. This is for babies that could be born any day without this procedure. The only other case is for actual late-term miscarriages.
#4 Responsibilty. Most abortions, as previously proved, occur due to inconvenience. Cases of medical complications or rape trauma are not what I’m talking about here. I’m talking straight-up “I just don’t want to have to deal with kids” inconvenience. Only it’s not even that. It’s “Well, yeah, I created this thing... but... You know, it’s hard maintenance, you know? Continually existing while having another life dependent on me and my ability to exist responsibly. Nah, it’s not for me. I’ll just go over here and play with my cat instead.”. It’s ridiculous.
Perhaps you haven’t noticed this trend, but our society has been trained and hate responsibility. I know. It comes from a heck of a lot of other people’s consequences slamming into us with the force of a semi truck. It comes from schools where we’re overloaded with homework to the point where dropping out sounds nicer and nicer. It comes from growing up in a family that’s struggling financially where you might even see the example of parents choosing to shrug off the responsibility to raise their kids properly.
We hate responsibility and we fear it. So when I tell you that I know most of you who are Pro-Choice simply want to be able to sleep with whoever they want whenever they want with no consequence, it’s because you don’t want to be responsible. If you’re at that point, heck no. You should not be a parent. I don’t want to put a kid at risk with someone who clearly doesn’t want the responsibility of parenthood. That’s the whole reason people choose foster care and adoption. Because there’s a higher chance of the child being cared for. That’s sad considering the foster system is a mess.
For ladies being pressured into an abortion by your partner, ask yourself this: Do I want to stay in a relationship where my man abuses my kids? Would I stand by in a situation like that? No? If you’re being pressured into an abortion, you’re being told to sacrifice your child for their convenience. Don’t do it. Reach out for help and you will find it.
So here’s my advice for anyone considering abortion but who isn’t sure: Pull a Juno. Take responsibility for your actions and responsibility for your child for as long as you need to. Find a family looking to adopt - skip the Foster Care System entirely - and it’s surprisingly easy. You can literally google “looking for a family to adopt my baby” and you’ll be given dozens of options of hopeful parents willing to work with you to adopt right away. Reminder: If you find someone who wants to adopt your baby, they’re definitely going to work with you to make it happen. Your baby is at more risk of an unhappy foster home if you’re just dropping them off at the hospital with no connections.
So, there’s my blurb. I’ll write one purely on Planned Parenthood and all of the many many ways that it’s actually costing women more than other pregnancy health centers.

So, let me get this straight Left-Wing,
You don’t trust the government. You think the government is corrupt, heck, you know the government is corrupt. You know the government workers are often some of the most slow-paced and uncaring workers (look at the DMV. Passport offices. US Mail. CONGRESS.) and lean toward impersonal interactions whenever possible.
And you want them to be in charge of everything? You want them in charge of your healthcare? Your housing? Your job? Your salary? What books you read? What shows you watch? It starts off small and grows and grows.
That’s what Socialism and Communism means. It’s putting the government in charge of your life decisions. Worse still, it’s by force. Meaning as soon as you’ve had enough and you think “I’d actually like control of my life again” you’re likely to be placed under arrest or heavily fined.
North Korea started off as Communistic and it certainly didn’t prove a difficult thing to merge into a dictatorship. People who don’t ‘have a need’ for a car to get to work aren’t allowed to have one. There is hardly any travel (cars are freedom to move where and when you want) and the people there blindly obey their leaders as they re-write the history books.
Russia did the same. Millions of lives were lost.
China isn’t talked about much. 40 million in the span of 4 years and 20+ more besides with the takeover by Mao.
Brazil used to be a top market for business and job growth and the it elected 2 Socialist leaders both of whom are under arrest or investigation for fraud. They are now in financial ruin and chaos.
One more bone-chiller. Hitler renamed the German Worker’s Party to the National Socialist German Worker’s Party. Food for thought.
Communism and Socialism are parasites. They’re not sustainable in any way shape or form so they jump to a new location where people haven’t learned from history to win them over as it leaves a trail of ruin, poverty, and starvation behind.
Is Capitalism perfect? No Not by a long shot because it’s run by humans and humans are corruptible. Anything different would have to be run by perfectly programmed robots. No, capitalism is not perfect, but it works a whole heck of a lot better than Socialism or Communism ever have. Work on fixing what we have, not regressing to something that’s failed for over a century.
#socialism#communism#it's doomed to fail and if you don't believe me read a freaking history book.#history#government#dear chuck why is this so hard to understand??#capitalism

On the Subject of Pornography
Seriously, why do people not care about porn usage and how it’s literally seeping into commercial advertisements? It’s horrible and disgusting and it actually starts to rewire your brain to become more addicted over time. Do you like seeing exposed busty women to advertise cars or even food? Me neither.
Some straight up facts about porn:
1. While not all pornography users engage in sexual violence, multiple studies have shown that practically every rapist, pedophile, sex trafficker, etc... became engaged in Graphic and Hardcore Pornography first.
“* The University of New Hampshire did a study that showed that the states with the highest readership of pornographic magazines like Playboy and Penthouse, also have the highest rape rates
*The Michigan State Police Department found that pornography is used or imitated in 41 percent of the sex crimes they have investigated (3).
*Dr. Victor Cline did research that showed how men who become addicted to pornographic materials begin to want more explicit or deviant material and end up acting out what they have seen (5).
* Now this one will make your skin crawl—Dr. James Dobson interviewed Ted Bundy, one of the nation’s most notorious serial killers, on the day before his execution. Bundy said that the “most damaging kinds of pornography are those that involve sexual violence . . . The wedding of those two forces, as I know only too well, brings about behavior that is just, just too terrible to describe” (1).
*Two doctors noted in their research-based book, Pornography and Sexual Aggression, that “Certain [aggressive] forms of pornography can affect aggressive attitudes toward women and can desensitize an individual’s perception of rape. These attitudes and perceptions are, furthermore, directly related to actual aggressive behavior against women.” They also found that adult pornography was connected with each of the 1,400 child sexual molestation cases in Louisville, Kentucky, and child pornography was connected with the majority of them (21).
*Another review of controlled studies found that extensive viewing of the type of pornographic material commonly sold at adult bookstores was positively correlated with an increased self-reported willingness to commit rape or other forced sexual acts (28).
*The Kingston Sexual Offenders Clinic in Canada found “an unexpected finding” when they conducted a study of their patients over a period of six years. “One of the rapists reported that he used consenting sex depictions to incite rape images in the process of preparing himself to attack a woman. Subsequent questioning revealed a further five rapists who made similar claims, and 10 of the 10 rapists who currently used (pornography) for enjoyment (not necessarily preparatory to offending) also said they used it to incite rape fantasies (22).
*Dr. Dolf Zillman and Dr. Jennings Bryant showed that continued exposure to pornography had serious negative effects on beliefs about sexuality in general, and on attitudes toward women in particular. They also found that pornography desensitizes people to rape as a criminal offense, and that massive exposure to pornography encourages a desire for increasingly deviant materials that depict violence (such as sadomasochism and rape) (29).
* Individuals with a predisposition for aggression (i.e., men who are at relatively high risk for aggression) have shown to be particularly drawn to images of pornography and are more likely to expose themselves to such images in the future than lower risk individuals. Moreover, a number of priming studies have shown that men with earlier risk characteristics may interpret sexually explicit material differently than lower risk individuals, such that pornography activates and reinforces inappropriate cognitive representations (e.g., hostility toward women) and fosters the development of sexual preoccupation in these men (14)”
Right, so needless to say, there’s evidence. For some people, viewing porn lets them ‘safely fulfill their sexual fantasies’ and that’s... still creepy but whatever. The fact that all of these studies exist and yet pornographic depictions in virtually every kind of media are on the rise and, as a result, the number of porn addicts are going up.... and yet people joke about porn??? People share it?? People encourage others to view porn with them?? WHY??
2. Relationships of all kinds have been destroyed due to porn usage and addiction. Marriages have ended in heartbreak and divorce because the porn user decided that they weren’t ‘getting enough’ from their partner because they expect to match the images they expose themselves to. This is often ignoring that fact that a large percentage of pornography is photo-shopped as well for heightened sexual drive. As a result, a married man watching porn every day is not only spending all sexual urges that he has with a computer or magazine rather than his wife (physical intimacy is well known as a building factor in a relationship), but he also tends to find her less and less attractive as he delves further into pornography. Don’t believe me? Tough. I’ve seen it happen. I don’t need to source something for this kind of knowledge.
Needless to say, and disturbingly like drug usage, pornography actually rewires your brain to crave it more and more and when you can no longer get the same feelings in reality, you become more and more hooked on porn and your relationships suffer and die.
This includes with friends and family as well. I’m not going to go beyond saying that porn, and specifically child porn (which is super illegal btw) is linked very strongly to child molestation.
3. It massively degrades women. Like a horrifying and disgusting amount. It degrades men as well for female users who look up male porn or even gay porn. When people choose to view other human beings as depictions of sex, they become sex objects instead of people. I’m not going to look up the various studies on the correlation between increasingly scantily clad individuals and the markers that light up during an MRI scan between the light going on when recognizing a fellow human compared to the light that goes on when they’re shown a picture of an inanimate object or tool. I’m too tired.
We all know that there are a lot of creepy guys who buy X magazines and they’re usually single and it’s because they’re freaking creeps. But there’s a new kind of pornography that’s been on the rise and women are more guilty of falling into it: Literary Porn.
I never thought it could be a thing until Fifty Shades showed up. Now it’s in fanfic everywhere and guess what female readers? It’s the reason you tend to love those smutty gay fics so much. It’s porn. It’s creating images in your own mind that do the same thing as if you were watching it on your computer.
And yeah, it’s addictive and will still destroy relationships and your ability to view other people as people.
It’s almost like we could easily predict if all of these things were becoming more prevalent in our society, people would be more likely to exaggerate offenses, lean toward violent speech or behavior as a retaliation for “verbal violence”, more scantily clad individuals in advertisements everywhere you looked, and that issues involving gender and sex crimes would become more and more of a problem and yet taken less seriously as years went on due to the commonality of sexual depictions. Funny that.
