also Geoffery is willing to indulge my ultimate honeymoon dream of going on an Alaskan Cruise and as I”m looking, it’s more affordable than I thought!! Still definitely a big financial commitment, but that would be so sick if we could save up and make that work!!

Geoffery got a cap like the one at the top (which I’ve learned is called an ascot cap) and loves the idea of wearing this style of hat for the wedding, so we’re thinking about doing hats of this era/style for all the men.... Them I’m thinking we’ll have them in button-down shirts with a nice waistcoat. It’s going to be in the warm season so I don’t want to make them suffer through in a whole suit, plus that’ll be a little cheaper for us....

So the top one is an ascot cap... we’ll probably have someone in a newsboy cap (I think his little brother would be adorable in that), maybe a Homburg hat which I had to look up but is perhaps a tiny bit less ostentatious than a fedora, and maybe a trilby but like, a nice one. I can’t remember how many groomsmen he’s having right now but at least that many, I think maybe one more?

I saw this picture on Amazon, they’re just selling the tulle, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE this as decor. That arch looks like it could be made out of pieces of an old artwork frame, bed frame, or mirror frame, and my brother in law has carpentry skills. I think we could put something like that together. I love the gray tulle and the bouquet with a mix of darker flowers - I am not a white-dress church-wedding bride, so we’re definitely going for something a little left of center with this wedding....

I haven’t been able to get this image out of my head since I saw it like 8 months ago, and that’s the most set I’ve been on anything about the look of the wedding. 

I like the little candle pedestals but not enough to want them for our wedding - and without being able to light them (barn fire hazard) I feel like they’d just be in the way. The rug is cute too - and I could probably get a nice secondhand one and clean it up. 

This is the foundation, I think. This is my starting point of real inspiration from this point forward.
