My mum helped me get all that in order, so it should be everything you need from our end!

I can make the flight to you guys any time before September since classes haven’t started yet, but for follow up appointments for you guys to check on her it’ll have to be on weekends because I’m going to have classes so I’d have to fly out on Friday, be there for the checkups on saturday, and fly home on Sunday.

It's really nice to see that you're willing to make an effort for her! I know you don't have too much experience, but we all start from somewhere don't we? And you seem to got a lot of people around you to help anyways, so I think you've got a good bunch of people that will be able to make sure Lapis is okay

So far I ain't see that she's averse to battling, she actually participates in some of the playfights at the bungalow! Which are good for her and the other mons to get some energy out.

She ain't averse to battling, but I'd tread on the side of caution about her battling. When battling gets too stressful and goes on for awhile it gets a bit rough on her and she needs to take a break and calm down. Gets a little panicky, so keep an eye on her if she ever battles.

And well if she does battle it may be good to figure out how to issue commands non verbally, it's not something I've tried since I ain't battled with her so I'm sorry that ain't something we've built yet with her

Ok so I’m not experienced caring for disabled pokemon and I’m still just a new trainer and you haven’t posted in a while so she may not even be adoptable but I saw Lapis and wanted to at least try- I’m deaf in one ear, she lost part of her ear… I felt some weird sense of connection. Is that dumb?

I totally get it if you say no! That’s totally okay, I know I don’t have much experience and you might want to wait for someone who has more, and that’s totally fair. I just wanted to give it a shot

And additionally, I think it's a good idea to have you come by monthly so I can check on her, this won't be like a test or anything! Just making sure she's doing alright, and if things are not, what we can do to help. I've got a doctor friend who could come by to check on her before she goes off with you and after.

And I don't think that's dumb at all, lot of times we see ourselves in our pokemon, and I think Lapis would be happy that someone understands her the way you do.

I'll call the doc over to do some checkups beforehand and we can start the process of getting Lapis over to you!

Once the doctor comes over she'll be able to specify things more, but due to the ear damage Lapis has some hearing loss. Not complete but noticeable.

She'll be less likely to hear and understand commands, so anything you can do to communicate non verbally would be a great help to Lapis.

I've worked with her a bit to respond to basic messages like stop and food with signals. I'll teach you what I've taught her so far.

Also I haven't had too much progress in this yet, but doing things like tapping your feet or anything that will vibrate through the floor will help alert Lapis since she can feel the vibrations.

someone caught her just to promote halloween and decided to abandon her afterwards, motherfucker

so now she's here to find someone who actually cares about her!

loves looking after younger pokemon, will get a bit clingy though!

and very affectionate as well!

I know this is really unprofessional but-

Pokemon centers have free beds to get out of the cave

And I'm willing to ahem ignore paper work if I can check on the Pokemon and send supplies if needed

Since my previous adoption attempt seems to have fallen through for now... Does anyone know if there are any adoption places who'd allow a runaway hybrid with basically no paperwork and a small cave underground for a house?

VERY MUCH RECOMMENDED YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE OR KNOWLEDGE IN TAKING CARE OF DISABLED POKEMON

other than that, she's a bit of a clean freak and will make sure your house is cleaned as i've experienced (fuck i have to be productive now)

loves to cuddle for long lengths of time!! do not get in the way of her cuddling you will regret it

rufus the hawlucha and geo the heracross!

rufus has taken in geo as his "apprentice" to train him to fight

(but really they're more like father and son and definetely should be adopted together)

rufus is a bit of an older pokemon and i don't recommend he battle that much other than practicing for his health

some is fine but don't overdo it

doesn't like to show he cares about anyone but geo

geo is a bit of a ladies man with some of the other pokemon here so keep that in mind

king is a bit antisocial with other pokemon other than queen, but he'll be affectionate around young'ins that's for sure

queen is the more social one and definetely makes up for it in the duo

she's fine when interacting on her own but she'll get very protective over king if anyone is too aggressive with him

i would prefer if these two were involved with things that put king in less danger if possible because that would give queen anxiety

an explorer at heart! i've had to stop him from wondering into some places he shouldn't hehe (help he snuck into my bathroom how did he use the door)

quiet little guy but he shows his affection through quality time <3

he will go and find if you are gone just to spend time with you! (he found me at the store)

he sort of don't mind doing anything as long as long as he's with his trainer

this little girl was caught to be used in contests but the owner realized she likes battling better and gave her over to us!

and when i say she likes battling, she really likes battling oh my goodness

she keeps picking fights at the bungalow that i've had to calm down quite a couple times

she's not too violent just that battling is a very enriching activity for her!

if you have pokemon that need a new battling buddy, please look into adopting her!

other than her battling habits, she's very much a suckup to any humans for treats. please keep this in mind as i've had to discover this
