Extras: courting self defense Omega likes her Alpha’s tiddies

Summary: Alphas, Betas and Omegas. Heats and ruts. The courting, mating and bonding. The true mates and scents. The excitement of knowing your designation. These were all things that existed in your world, you just weren't a part any of it. Instead of presenting at the age of 10 like everyone else you had gotten sick. An illness that could have been prevented if you had been taken care of the way you should have. Instead it derailed what should have been the start of the rest of your life. You were seen by most as broken and undesirable. You were one of the very few people that were classified as undesignated.

The Avengers were the most talked about pack. It consisted of mostly Alphas, Betas and 2 well known Omegas. They consistently went out and saved others from the horrors hidden in the shadows so it made sense that they were a family. What wasn't really known was that within the famous pack was a smaller one. It was uncommon that two Alphas to be mated and bonded with each other but it was rarer still for 3 to do so. They would be the three that would change your life forever.

There was Sam. He was enticing, caring and charismatic. Like standing outside on a sunny day after a storm. There is a fire within him to help others and bring light back to their life. Being around him meant being wrapped in warmth, that warmth you felt long after having been outside all day and the heat from the sun clings to your skin.

There was Bucky. He as as mysterious as the dark side of the moon. He was reserved and he had his reasons. If you stayed around for some time and let the clouds of doubt, guilt and regret clear his personality shined through same as Sam's. He was a hopeless romantic at heart. He was the feelings you had while going on a stroll with your loved one at midnight with nothing but the moonlight to guide the way.

Finally there was Steve. After waking up from the ice to a new world, it was difficult to think of the future beyond the next mission. When he met Sam he hoped for a new future and after getting Bucky back, he had stars in his eyes again. He is willing to fight harder and go further to keep those he loves happy and safe. Asking Steve for anything was better than wishing on a star because you knew he would stop at nothing to do what was asked of him.

Together the three of them were extremely protective of each other and the three of them although happy with the life they had created knew they were missing something. That something was you and you were their home. The same way the sun, the moon and the stars have a home in the sky.

* “And that’s everything that happened.” The ice in your nectar melts, the clink echoing in your ears. Your nose wrinkles when you take a sip.

* ‘Hades was right, this stuff is watered down.’

* Dionysus rests his elbows on his knees, his hands pressed together under his chin.

* You wait for him to say something, but instead, he stares into the distance.

* You take another sip of nectar and let him have his moment.

* “So in summary—” he starts, “—you discovered that the situation was a conspiracy against Olympus royalty, you held a secret meeting with the king of the underworld, ruined a public transportation vehicle, slayed no less than four monsters, told a god that they owed you, fought Kronos and won, and then had Zeus cover the entire matter up?”

* You finish your sip. “I think Ares and Zeus know that I’m a fertility god now too.”

* Dionysus gives a long sigh, slumping against the porch chair.

* “It’s always something with you isn’t it?”

* “Maybe now that Percy’s here he can take some of the blame too.” Like a younger sibling. Dionysus resigns himself, taking a sip of your nectar.

* “Where do you think Kronos is now that he’s not in Ares's body?” Dionysus gives a shrug.

* “He probably isn’t strong enough to live on his own still, he’s probably retreated back to Tartarus, or maybe into another pocket dimension until he can regain his strength.”

* It was odd, realizing the power that courses in your veins, that opens gateways and alternate dimensions isn’t your Father’s but Kronos’.

* ‘You dare use my own power against me child?’ He’d hissed.

* Which makes you wonder…

* “Hey Dennis?”

* He meets your gaze, his cheek resting on hand. “Yes (Y/N)?”

* “I know it was a long time ago, but when you were a demi-god, did you have weird dreams?”

* “It wasn’t that long ago.” He huffs, but the way his eyebrows wrinkle together has you convinced otherwise. “Why?”

* “I’ve been having some weird dreams lately.”

* He’s quite for a long moment and you figure that’s it, you’re thinking of other things to talk about when he says:

* “The powers of life and death team inside of you, your mortality tempers it but it isn’t impossible…” his head tilts to the side. “Maybe this is the prophecy of a witch.”

* “Of a witch?”

* “Well, you are Circe’s disciple, even Hecate’s acknowledged you, maybe you’re catching glimpses of the future or alternate realities.”

* ‘That’s an interesting thought.’

* “Zeus asked how you were.” The words leave your mouth with all the grace on an intrusive thought.

* “Wardens do wonder if prisoners are about to riot.” Dionysus responds dryly.

* It didn’t seem like that though, but you decide to keep this thought to yourself.

* “You didn’t do anything like ask him about Thalia when you met him right?” Dionysus suddenly sits up straight, frantic.

* You shake your head.

* “I couldn’t even get a word in edgewise with him.”

* He looked older than you thought too, a lot more tired too—even more worn out than Hades.

* “What now Dennis?”

* “Now,” the corner of his mouth twitches, “you meet Clarisse, Annabeth, Percy, Grover and Luke where they’re waiting for you at the bottom of the hill with a picnic, on their way to introduce Percy to Thalia, and I am going to go see if Chiron would humor me in a good old fashioned game of Black Jack.”

* You’ve never seen a more rag tag group of kids in your life. Clarisse looks more like a bully picking on outcasts than a friend, a sneer on her mouth as she holds a jug of nectar.

* Luke looks like the jock that got lost on his way to football practice, holding a picnic basket for some reason.

* Percy looks like some wannabe surfer hipster who decided he was going to steal all the plates and silverware he could find.

* Annabeth is the honors student that got roped into it all, holding a checkered blanket with a frown.

* And Grover looks like the nerd they’re all collectively bullying.

* But they all grin when you jog towards them, like you’re the best thing they’ve ever seen.

* “What were you and Dennis talking about for so long?”

* “Did he make you fill out the paperwork yourself?”

* “I stole this nectar from someone in the Aphrodite cabin, a gift from the goddess herself.”

* “Do you think I took too many plates?”

* “You look a lot better than usual.”

* “Do you think we’re going to get yelled at?”

* But nothing feels as right as sitting under Thalia’s tree with these people, trading jokes like breezes.

* “So this is Thalia?” Percy asks, and unlike with the dog he places a hand on the trunk and smiles. “Nice to meet you, I’m Percy Jackson, my dad’s the ocean asshole.”

* Clarisse sputters pomegranate juice, and Luke howls with laughter.

* “At least he didn’t say ocean daddy.”

* Grover covers his face.

* “Why do you keep saying that?”

* Clarisse would later take a Polaroid with the camera her mom sent her, arguing with Luke about how to set it up.

* “I told you I know what I’m doing!”

* “And I told you that it’s way too low, what—do you want a picture of our legs?”

* The picture is a mess, Luke and Clarisse are fighting, Annabeth’s pointing to the camera, Grover was mid-sneeze, Percy’s looking at you, and you’re grinning in the middle of it all.

* There’s another handful of pictures taken afterwards, but this one will always be your favorite.

* Just you and your friends from camp.

* You spend breakfast with Clarisse.

* “I heard what you did by the way,” Clarisse says. “Thanks for sticking up for me with my dad.”

* There’s an uncharacteristic blush across her face and you smile.

* “Well, don’t be too happy—he tried to ask me on a date after, I think.”

* “…that sounds about right.”

* You spend the last few weeks of summer happier than most, sitting with Percy on the dock.

* “What did you and your mom talk about?”

* He shrugs, holding a flat stone in his hand.

* “She talked a little bit about the ocean asshole,” you have to fight to keep your mouth in a straight line, “and then she said she was going to make a big change and that I was always welcome home, but that she understood if I wanted to stay at camp and become a hero too.”

* You had heard from Dionysus that Hades had offered her a job in the Underworld, nothing glamorous—just the usual clerical work, but it would be a start.

* “What about you?” He asks. “What did you and your dad talk about?”

* Nothing much, just the usual ambiguity regarding your powers and the ever-threatened structure of Olympus hierarchy.

* “He just wanted to know if I was coming home early or going back to camp.”

* “By the way what am I supposed to do with these?” He pulls out three perfect pearls in his hand. “They were supposed to help us return back to the surface from the Underworld.”

* ‘Three huh? Guess he figured I’d be fine staying down there.’

* You shrug.

* “Maybe you’ll need them next time.”

* Percy sputters.

* “There’s going to be a next time?”

* You laugh.

* You spend mid-day with Grover under Thalia’s tree.

* “Is that all there is?” Grover asks when you show him how to mix the ingredients together for a potion.

* “Circe says that half of magic is will, if you have the desire to do it that’s all that it takes.”

* Truthfully Grover isn’t half bad, you feel a little like Circe all those years ago—watching him grind the paste in slow circles.

* “I can take you to meet her next time I go if you’d like?”

* Circe would like him.

* He sputters a bashful laugh and you grin back.

* You trade gossip with Annabeth as the sun sets on the horizon.

* “What’s the deal with Makaira and Thanatos?”

* “Oh man, I don’t even know where to start with that.” Your aunt is nice, but perpetually in a state of arrested development. “She just wasn’t ever sure about him, but wasn’t mature enough to communicate that.”

* “The dating scene amongst gods is super tiny, that’s probably why they’re always getting swayed by mortals.”

* Annabeth laughs so hard she snorts.

* And your nights, staring at the twinkling sky right before curfew, are always reserved for one Luke Castellan.

* “Do you think we’d still be friends if we weren’t Demi-gods?” Luke asks, his eyes trained on the sky. You tilt your head.

* “Yeah, probably.”

* He scoffs in disbelief.

* “How would we meet?”

* “I’m getting to that, you see we’re both awfully problematic, trouble just seems to find me and you’ve got that personality.” He laughs at the careless wave of your hand as you gesture to him. “So eventually our parents would have enough and send us to a reform camp, and of course we’d get sent to the same time out corner after a bout of bad behavior,” he laughs when you bump your shoulder into his. “and that would be it, Luke and (Y/N), completely inseparable.” His cheeks are rosy pink and you smile.

* He’s gotten a lot softer in the years you’ve known him, a far cry from the boy who barbed every word he sent your way.

* You were happy spending your days like this.

* It’s that same happiness that clouded your brain.

* Because the first thought when you saw Luke and Percy walk into the woods, six red cans dangling from Luke’s hand like a string of rubies is: “I can’t believe Luke had coke and didn’t tell me about it.”

* The first few steps are made causally, the only intention to get a sip of the sweet treat.

* And then realization dawns on you.

* ‘No, that isn’t right.’

* But your feet move faster now.

* ‘Things are different.’

* But you’ve broken into a run.

* And when you get to the clearing in the woods Percy’s crumpled on the ground and Luke is standing in front of a portal, one eye as blue as the sky and the other the color of space.

* You drop to your knees, cradling a half-conscious Percy in your arms.

* “I’m sorry (Y/N),” you struggle to catch your breath, a tear shaking from the corner of your eye. “it had to be done.”

* And then he’s gone.

* ‘Because some things don’t change.’

Dear Evan Hansen,

Today is going to be an amazing day and here’s why: because, uh, because today all you have to do is just be yourself. But also confident; that’s super important. And interesting. Easy to talk to. Approachable. And intellig— but, just be yourself!! That’s the big, like, that’s number one: be yourself. Just, uh, you know…be true to yourself.

Also, don’t worry if your hands are going to get sweaty for no reason and you can’t make it stop no matter what you do because — no, they’re not going to get sweaty. So, I don’t even know why I’m bringing it up because it’s not going to happen because it’s…but, like, all you have to do is just be yourself!! Be yourself!

I’m not even worried about it though, seriously, because it’s not like, uh, it’s not going to be like that one time you had the perfect chance to introduce yourself to Zoe Murphy at the band concert last year — that time when you waited afterwards just to talk to her and tell her how good she was and, like, you were going to pretend to be so casual like you didn’t even know her name. Like, she would introduce herself and then you’d be like, “Sorry, I didn’t hear you. Chloe? Is that your name? Chloe?” And then she would be like, “No, it’s Zoe. I said Zoe.” And you’d be like, “Oh, see I thought you said Chloe because I’m just— I’m very busy with…uh, other stuff right now.” But you didn’t even end up saying anything to her anyway because you were scared your hands were sweaty…which, they weren’t, really. They weren’t sweaty until you started worrying that they were sweaty, which made them sweaty, so you put them under the hand dryer in the bathroom. But then they were still sweaty…and just, uh, very warm as well.
