Since when there has been a Serlingfest and why haven't we heard of it?!

What a fantastic weekend in Binghamton, NY celebrating SerlingFest 2024! It was great to see so many folks come from all over to honor Rod in his hometown.

I also got to visit the band stand and ride the carousel that inspired the 1959 Twilight Zone episode “Walking Distance”. The weekend closed with the unveiling of a gorgeous statue that sits in Recreation Park.

We encounter the greatest horrors in this episode: the future and daughters

Because in episode 24, Eeri tells us about the Twilight Zone season 2 episode 7 "Nick of Time", about a man who just wants to know if he gets that promotion. And we wonder why thinking about the future too much might be bad, actually.

Vieno tells us of season 2 episode 8 "The Lateness of the Hour", where a perfect world is disrupted by an imperfect daughter. From mythical incels to reclusive geniuses, we cover it all to answer what to do with an imperfect daughter.

Jason Todd: Everyone saying 'Black Mirror,' NO. The whole point of Black Mirror is that it's rife with unwanted morals! No! I don't want to be told how technology is making us distant and how helicopter parenting makes kids hate you. I want "What if astronauts found their own dead bodies on a random planet and had a breakdown for a full episode, then realized they're dead for real and then forget and do it all over again forever, wouldn't that be fucked? I'm Rod Serling."

Episode 21 “The Man in King 9” is out now!

In episode 21, Vieno starts us off with the Twilight Zone season 2 episode 1 "King 9 Will Not Return", where a man has a bad time at a beach. And we wonder if he was at the beach at all.

Eeri takes on season 2 episode 2 "The Man in the Bottle", where a man and a woman make some wishes. We wonder if poor people should ever wish for anything.

Most Twilight Zone episodes: A harrowing and haunting tale about the potential depths of human depravity, the risks of technology in a bleak and uncertain world, human sanity being push to its limits in the face of the unknowable.

Every other Twilight Zone episode: What if like... uh... weird looking aliens gave a guy super strength and he did a bunch of Looney Tunes type shit. That would be kind of fucked up.
