Rating Coachella Fits Part 2
Hello everyone! Here’s the second part the previous blog I posted. If you haven’t seen that one yet you should go check it out where I rate artists Coachella outfits. This time I will be rating festival attendees outfits or more like the influencers/social media stars that attended this year. This one will be a lot more interesting since there have been so many videos about roasting and reacting to YouTube Coachella outfits. Plus festivalgoers tend to go all out and are more creative when comes to choosing their outfits. Anyways lets dive into what people wore at Coachella this year.
Nikita Dragun and Bretman Rock
Thoughts:
This Coachella, Nikita’s outfit were on POINT!👏🏼 Both her and Bretman looked so good and were like the ultimate dynamic duo in their pink and blue outfits. I mean major Powerpuff/Power rangers vibes right here. Nikita as Ricky Dillion states it, “looks like she won the Miss Yee Haw southern pageant for Miss Yee Haw.” I don’t think anyone expected Nikita to pull off a FULL DENIM look, like I’m sorry what?! Aside from the fact that it was all denim, the look came with a matching hat with bling fringe and top it off even more her top in bling says Dragun. This outfit along with basically all her other ones are a definite 10/10!! Personally I think Nikita rocked Coachella this year with her looks. As for Bretman his custom blue fit matching with Nikita is a 10/10 as well, like no one could ever look this good with their bff. For his second outfit I love the sheer bling top with matching accessories but would rate this outfit a 9/10 because, although hard to see, his split toe boot is not my favorite.
Dolan Twins
Thoughts:
The photo to the left is my favorite outfit out of the ones which the Dolan twins wore because I think the colorful shirts suit them well with the sunglasses and white bottoms. This open button up look definitely screams I’ve got abs, but overall I would rate this look a 8/10. As for the ones to the right, this is very Dolan twin like with the logos and simplicity, however it doesn’t really give me Coachella vibes. Not to mention the weird blue sleeveless half vest which Grayson wore that wasn’t my cup of tea. For them I think this outfit choice was okay considering they choose each others outfits in one day, but overall I’d rate it a 6.5/10.
James Charles
Thoughts:
It seemed like from the comments last year about razor bumps and everything else wrong with James Charles’s bottom in previous Coachella fits sparked the idea for this years Coachella looks. Where James surely enough showed off his bum to the world. From practically denim underwear to white bottomless pants, James was either hyped or hated for his Coachella looks this year. I will say that his outfit on the right is very country 🤠 from the hat to the major fringe. I would say that this look suits James and for that I’d rate it a 8/10. I like the look on the right and how it’s all black with the sheer bling pants, but I don’t like the long glove looking thing (I love how much I know about this), overall this outfit is 9/10. For the most part it can all be agreed that James set the Coachella trend of bottomless pants because why bother wearing anything down there, especially with all the dirt/dust.
Tana Mongeau
Thoughts:
Tana’s Coachella looks were well very TANA. Her all black combat tomb raider vibe (Lara Croft could never) outfit was just wow. Tana looked so good in this and I honestly don’t think somebody else could pull this off like her. Which is why I gotta give this one to her and say its a 10/10. Her other looks were surprisingly more relaxed but I love the neon pink and green with the cheetah print because it’s not your everyday combo. The triangle bra could've been a different color but overall this is look is a 9.5/10.
Emma Chamberlain
Thoughts:
Emma had some interesting looks this year, one being the look pictured to the left which is my favorite out of the ones she wore. The look is still very Emma but with a twist, a Coachella twist of course. I love how the accessories in her hair matched with the pink fuzz at the bottom of her pants which definitely served as the pop of color in this outfit. The pants were so cool and looked like they were made by an artist. A more form fitting outfit with chunky or bigger footwear is always interesting and for that I’d give this a 9/10.
Basically all the other Dote Girls
Olivia Rouyre and Hannah Meloche
Thoughts:
Olivia Rouyre pictured to the left really went all out with the sheer pant theme this year. My favorite look from her though had to be the one at the bottom. The tiny black top with the big sheer white pants and matching black sneakers along with the tiny sunglasses really set this look. She had fun looks but just like Hannah (pictured to the right) the outfits weren't as Coachella as others have been so for that reason its an 8.5/10. Hannah Meloche also seemed to stick with a theme of sun and star print. Out of her outfits I think the best was the one with the tiny top and white sheer cardigan on top. Although simple this outfit suited Hannah and is an 8/10.
Ellie Thuman and Marla Catherine
Thoughts:
Ellie Thuman did appear in outfits different to her normal style such as the blue set which she wore above. I love the hair and how bright this outfit is. You can’t see it in the photo but she also wore a dainty gold chain body harness which I think added to the look. Practicality wise the latex looking material of the outfit seems very uncomfortable which Ellie herself even admitted to in an Instagram post. For that reason I’d rate this a 7/10. Marla’s Coachella outfits were influenced by her vintage style which can be shown in the dress she wore above. I think the outfits suit her but isn't something many would wear to a festival like Coachella which is why this is a 6.5/10.
Corinna Kopf
Thoughts:
Corinna from David Dobrik’s vlogs looked amazing! She took the bohemian style on a whole other level with the outfit to the right. From her pink hair, jewels and makeup, to the outfit itself makes her look like mystical GODESS out of a movie. This look definitely earned her a 10/10. :)
Rickey Thompson
Thoughts:
I had to include Rickey Thompson in this because he just looked so GOOD. I was not expecting these looks from him. Both outfits are definite 10/10s and the fact that he can pull off a monochromatic blue outfit with dad sneakers makes it all the better.
And finally Liza Koshy because she wowed us ALL
Thoughts:
Liza Koshy showed up to Coachella looking like the denim fringe queen! I’ve never seen any look this is, let alone with holographic cowboy boots!! Overall Liza wowed us all and set the denim expectations high this look is a 10/10.

That concludes the Coachella blog posts! This year sure brought some interesting outfits. Well that’s all for today so till next week!

Rating Artists Coachella Fits
Hello everyone! If you didn’t know already this weekend and last weekend was Coachella, an annual music and arts festival held in Indio, CA over the span of two weekends. Many people including influencers and celebrities aside from the artists performing attended and some of their outfits, well let’s just say they were interesting. For the sake of the length of this post I’ll be splitting this into 2 parts. This weekend I’ll briefly discuss/rate performing artists outfits while next week I’ll go over influencers and other celebrities outfits.
Artists
All of the people mentioned below are just some of the many artists which performed at Coachella. Anyways here are their outfits from that weekend and what I think of them.
Kacey Musgraves
Kacey going for a couture cowgirl look wore a Bailman all tan suede outfit. It consisted of high waisted bottoms, and a floor length corset top with halter straps. She paired it with clear heels and wowed us with bold silver jewelry. Personally I would rate this outfit a 4/5 because although unique the piece worn was just the right kind of extravagant and my favorite part overall was the bold jewelry which differently served as a statement piece.
J Balvin and Rosalía
Rosalia wore a red and black outfit with gold detailing (shown to the left) during one of her individual performances. This outfit especially with he top and cropped jacket gives me major Selena vibes. As for her outfit with her performance with J Balvin she wore a matching pink and yellow Louis Vuitton track set. For her first outfit I rate it a 4.5/5 because the overall outfit is really cute and I love the color combo along with the belted chains. However the material she is wearing doesn’t look comfortable to be wearing if you were to be walking/standing all day at a festival with hot temperatures. As much as the idea of a track suit is simple and comfortable, I don’t really like the pink and yellow color combo for that reason I’d rate this a 3/5. As for J Balvin his first outfit (shown at top) is a colorful tie dye vest with matching shorts. His second outfit (shown at bottom) is yet another vest this time pink with a black shirt underneath and matching pink sweat pants. Overall I would rate his first outfit a 3/5 because I’m not really a fan of a the patchy tie dye, but it does suit his colorful set and of course his rainbow hair. His second outfit is much simpler but something you might get hot in if you were to wear it with 90 degree and higher temperatures which is why it’s 4/5 for me.
Bad Bunny
Bad Bunny wore a very colorful Louis Vuitton set. This outfit I would rate a 4.5/5 since I like the matching set because of the black and color along with the chain necklace. His outfit is not too out there but still really cool, it would have been a 5 if only he didn’t wear the big reflective shades which for me aren’t my favorite part of this outfit.
Khalid
Khalid wore a matching palm tree shirt and short set. From the looks of it these matching sets are very popular this year at Coachella. This outfit is a 5/5 because there’s nothing too wild about to the point that it’s kinda ugly, and the outfit itself is simple and fit with the artist’s set and vibe. Vacation vibes anyone?
Tierra Wack
Tierra Wack wore a tomato jumpsuit with green socks and red and white nikes. She paired the overall look with an interesting red hat. This outfit is a 5/5 (yes I know what I am thinking) because nobody could pull off and rock a tomato jumpsuit other than Tierra Wack plus her whole outfit is color coordinated like what?!
Billie Eilish
Billie Eilish was seen wearing multiple different outfits but I will be reviewing just one, her scooter fit. While scooting around the Coachella grounds Billie was wearing neon yellow shoes, blue furry pants, a neon yellow shirt, an LV vest and matching yellow sunglasses. I’ve always admired Billie’s style and the art of her outfits but this one out of the ones she wore probably wasn’t my favorite. I do love the bright yellow and the sunglasses, maybe if the pants or vest was interchanged with another color, texture, or pattern I would've liked it more. For that reason this outfit is a 3/5.
Ariana Grande
Ariana Grande wore a number of outfits while performing at this Coachella, and I’ve gotta say they are all very Ariana especially with the mini skirts and over the knee boots, Ariana’s signature look. My favorite out of all 3 and the one which I’d give a 5/5 is the middle outfit. The other outfits were cute colors and styles except I wasn’t really a fan of the sleeves on both of them. As for the middle outfit I love how whimsical and sparkly it was.
Clairo
There wasn’t any good photos of Clairo’s outfit so hopefully this will do. Anyways I decided to rate this outfit a 4/5 because a suit set like the one she wore is something which uncommon seen at this type of festival. I also love the little detailing on the suit. It would’ve been a 5 for me if it could be something for a festival attendee to wear but it really isn’t practical to be worn all day as a festivalgoer.
That wraps up my rating on artist’s festival outfits although it was just a few out of many I enjoyed actually somewhat analyzing what they wore. As always these are just my personal opinions based off what I like so you may view these outfits differently. Anyways thanks for reading today’s post and I’ll be back next week with even more Coachella fits.

Clothes to Cash
Online places to sell your clothes
As spring is here so comes the task of spring cleaning which often leads us to rid ourselves of clothing items we don't get good use out of. Some items can easily be categorized into trash especially if they are severely stained, ripped or just overall too old. While some pieces are still in good enough condition for others to get some uses out of them. That’s where donating can comes in, however if the item was a little more pricey or something which you believe can sell for a profit it’s nice to know a few places where you can do so.
1. ThredUp
Commonly known as an online consignment store with hundreds of clothes from name brand and beyond, ThredUp also offers you to sell your clothes to them.
How it works: ThredUp will send you a “Clean Out” bag where you ship (free) all wanted items ranging from women’s to children’s clothes, shoes and accessories. Once your bag is received it will be processed and once accepted you can get up to 80% of resale value per item. However do note that Thredup usually only accepts about 40% of the items in the bag and will send the rest to charity, and if you want any of the rejected items back there will be a $10.99 return fee.
Overall: Personally Thredup would be my resort for needing to get rid of items very quickly because they make it easy to sell but compared to others they do not pay the most. So if you are looking to really get bang for your buck I recommend other places that I will mention.
2. Tradesy
Another commonly used platform for items of clothing and accessories.
How it works: Sell an item by listing it based on its brand name and take photos of it along with listing it's condition. A plus from this site is that it optimizes the image of the item for more eye appeal. Once the item sells you can get paid multiple ways or get Tradesy credit which can be used for their website and is the highest paying option.
Overall: A great site for selling and earning credit to use towards other items on site.
3. Depop
Another uprising app which has been used for sometime primarily known for selling vintage articles of clothing.
How it works: just as other platforms create an account and begin uploading photos of the items along with a description and of course sale price. This app allows you to interact with potential buyers and you are able to sell your item for any price you wish.
Overall: This is a great app for selling an item which you think it is worth for so you can potential make more on selling apps like Depop than trade stores. Only down side is the fact that you have to pay to ship out your items so consider that when listing.
4. Poshmark
Have higher end or designer clothes you wish to sell? Well this is the place to go.
How it works: Similar to Depop, Poshmark is an app which allows you to market the product by uploading up to 7 photos and adding a product description. You are able to follow and browse other people’s closet as they can do with yours. When a product is sold Poshmark will email you a prepaid shipping label and are able to ship the item from your home or schedule a pick by the postal service if item doesn’t fir in your mailbox.
Overall: A great place to sell name brands but with that comes with higher prices. Most listing on Poshmark are more expensive than other online resale apps so unless wanting to pay the price for a certain item I recommend buying from other apps when purchasing second hand.
There are certainly many many other places where you can sell clothes for a small or big profit but these are just a few. For more places where you can shop or sell I have a link to a website listing 24 best places to sell clothes online: https://wellkeptwallet.com/sell-clothes-online/
Thanks for reading today’s post! hasta luego!

Spring Break Outfit Ideas
Hello! Welcome to the blog where we discuss all things fashion. For today’s post I will be sharing with you spring break outfit ideas to either give you some outfit inspo or give you an idea of cute instagram worthy outfits for all your photos whether traveling this season or not. Without further a due let’s dive into Spring break outfit ideas!
For Warmer Temperatures
Flowy (light) bottoms: shorts and skirts
Live in a someplace where it’s already 80 degrees in Spring *ahem* *California* or traveling somewhere where the temperatures are hotter? Well the next few outfits which I will be showing you are outfits for that type of temperature. The outfits are perfect for wearing since they consist of one layer or very light ones if any, so you won’t be roasting in the spring sun. The photos above picture pieces using flowy or light weighted material which is a must for hotter temperatures because this will allow you to feel airy and potentially less hot. As for the linen shorts those give me major 90s vibes and the outfits are versatile when it comes to fluctuating weather temperatures. For example as pictured in the photo at the top left corner, adding a long blazer or light jacket on top of any outfit with smaller pieces (shorts, mini skirts, etc.) will add warmth to the body. This is great for when being in air condition places or for an evening night out. As for skirts something which are comfortable, lightweight, and will not retain body heat are wrap skirts or any skirt with cotton or silk material. Not only do these skirts scream spring with their cute patterns and styles but they are easy to pair with tops such as tank tops or white tees serving as a cute outfit for a day out.
Dresses
One of the easiest ways to put an outfit together is by wearing a one piece, and that could I either be a dress, romper, or jumpsuit. Wearing these types of items are so simple because all you need to add is shoes and or accessories. In addition, dresses are upon the most popular type of clothing to be worn during springtime, it’s like dresses are the fashion industry’s symbol of spring. For that reason you’ll be able to find a variety of colors, styles, and sizes of dresses all throughout different stores. It is also nice to own a at least one spring dress to wear when you’re too lazy to put together an outfit but still want to look cute, and to get more into the vibe/temperature of the season. Personally, with all the new spring trends out there I look forward to being able to wear dresses with sneakers now that the weather is getting warmer.
For Cooler Temperatures
Skirts, jeans, pants and everything in between
Believe it or not, some states or areas like those in the Midwest still haven’t fully reached warmer temperatures. In fact it is actually still cold in those areas and with that comes the limited freedom of fully transitioning into spring. However, just because the weather isn’t spring like doesn't mean your wardrobe can’t be. There are plenty of ways to incorporate spring into your wardrobe while dressing appropriately to your area’s weather. One of those ways being wearing the trending spring color, or trendy spring clothing item in your outfit with layering to stay warm and etc. As shown in the photo in the top left corner wearing long/er skirts will give more coverage to your legs so you can avoid the coldness of wind chill. It also shows that long skirts can be styled just as fashionable as mini ones. A great way to wear a cooler temp item in a warmer way is by adding a thicker/warmer layer underneath such as what the photo to the top right corner displays. By adding a turtleneck to what would be considered a warmer day piece adds dimension and warmth to the outfit. Making it both visually appealing and saving you from having the chills. Lastly, adding simple layers such as a tank top on top pf your t-shirt is a trendy way to use light layers. Using light layers is great for someone who doesn't like heavy layering with jackets or sweatshirts and is very versatile for constant weather changing.
Adios amigos! I’m off for the week so till next time!

Revamp your Wardrobe for Spring
A winter to spring wardrobe transition guide
Hi everyone! March 20th officially marked the beginning of spring! That means the beginning of skirt and short weather and can we talk about all the cute spring patterns that will be coming out this season! Like yes need to go shopping asap! Anyways in today’s post I will be discussing how small changes can make a big difference in transforming your wardrobe for spring, because you definitely shouldn’t need to buy a entire new set of clothes!
Spring Cleaning Fever
The season of spring gives the off the norm of what we’ll all be doing and that’s spring cleaning. When it comes to decluttering your closet you should potentially be getting rid of less and less each year. If you are approaching the right way to creating your ideal wardrobe or already have then you should have less to declutter every year once you know/understand your personal style. Knowing your personal style is key because you will have an idea of the items you love to wear and want to keep. Making it less of a process of trying to to get rid of clothes just for space for something new, Instead you’ll end up with a closet you love full of the pieces which you’re excited about and want to wear. While reading fashion blogger Audrey a La Mode’s post about transitioning into a spring wardrobe I came across something she said which I believe we should all consider and go by when wanting to clean out our closets that being “It’s very easy to get into this cycle of in and out and it’s especially trendy right now to declutter and obviously I think that’s great! BUT, I want to encourage you to start viewing your wardrobe as a fluid concept that should always be growing and changing with you, rather than something that’s disposable.” She also stated “I encourage you to look at your closet like a whole picture and avoid the temptation to declutter just for the sake of decluttering and to certainly avoid adding trendy or new items to your closet with the mentality that they can be disposed of at a later date if they don’t work out. Instead, I encourage you to add things that you can see yourself wearing for at least a few seasons.” These ideas of decluttering really made me think of my closet and how I “dispose” of things in a new way.
Swap Seasonal Styles
The most common thing we’ll be doing this season is swapping out our winter clothes for spring/summer ones. It is important for you to do this step if you really want to get out of the winter mindset. If not you’ll be stuck with a closet full of warm clothes leaving you limited options for when it gets warmer. Something which like to follow is this pie chart which represents the proportions of the different types of clothing you’ll need in closet year round. The categories break down as they are written: year round clothing such as clothing basics, seasonal being the clothing specific to that season and its weather, and finally trendy meaning a few items which are trending that season. Photo credits: Pinterest
Get Inspired
Finding inspiration on whatever platform you find ideas you love will give you an idea of what you’ll be looking forward to put together this season. Personally by looking through Pinterest posts and boards I find ideas of outfits which I plan to recreate or get inspiration from for the upcoming season making it a lot easier to actually create outfits. Along with that comes having your key outfit or something which is like a signature look or a base of clothing which you build your outfits upon. This go to outfit can be anything from jeans and white tee which personally is my favorite since it is easy to add on to and accessorize. No matter your personal style having a key outfit will make getting ready a lot easier because even if you don’t know what to wear you can start with your key outfit(s) and go from there.
Accessorizing
Some people say that you can only make your outfit visualizing appealing by layering but there’s more to that than coats and scarves. To add interest to your outfits without the weight of layering, add to it by wearing lightweight statement pieces. This will keep you from feeling hot or suffocated. The overall goal is to stay lighter and airer for the warmer seasons. My favorite way to do this is by wearing simplistic outfits like a white t-shirt and jeans pairing it with a layered gold necklace and rings. Overall gold jewelry especially if its chunky or layered will be the highlight of an outfit.
Color Palette
According to fashion enthusiasts this year’s spring color is coral, so for that reason I have included a link for the coral palette. That way if you want to bring this year’s spring color into your wardrobe you can because even if you don’t believe one shade of color looks good on you there are plenty of other shades/varieties out there and one which will suit you. Going along with the color palette topic, having a personal palette is important for getting dressed and shopping more easily. This is because you know what colors look best on you and what colors will work with your wardrobe. Having a palette of pieces which compliment each other in your wardrobe will mean a variety and easy way of putting together outfits. An easy way to fit into the current season is by changing your base colors in your color palette for accent colors or vice versa. For example if your base colors are primarily dark colors and your accents are lighter try wearing more of the lighter colors in fit into the spring season.

Wishlist
Going into a new season often gives the perception of needing to buy new items. No matter how large or what you own in your wardrobe you can very much make with what you already have. If you do plan on purchasing new items as add ons then make a well thought out list of items which will serve their purpose in your wardrobe. Think: What will work with my wardrobe? How have I planned for this item, and in what ways can it be beneficial to my wardrobe? Having this mentality along with sticking to your wishlist will make it easier to not buy the first thing you see in a store. If you don not find your wishlist item right away or you don’t see something your 85% happy with or sure you’re going to wear, don’t buy it. Take your time to the right piece which you’ll truly wear and be happy about it.
Tips
I thought I’d finish off with some tips to help you out a bit more on transitioning your winter wardrobe into a spring one, so here they are:
As mentioned briefly, have the same base of clothing regardless of the season. That includes basic closet staples which you can wear year round such as: white and black shirts, pants, and other versatile pieces which can serve as the foundation for seasonal clothing.
Exchange your coat for a lightweight jacket which can be used for when it does get cooler.
Cope with fluctuating temperatures by wearing short sleeves or sleeveless tops under lightweight layers to easily transition from warm to cool weather and vice versa.
Lightening your textures of clothing will make it easier to survive rising temperatures. Try to stay away from bulky knits and opt for a more versatile lightweight or breathable fabric.
Slowly transition into color. If you primarily wore darker tones during winter jumping into a wardrobe of brighter colors can be difficult. For that reasons start small and slowly add color through accessorizing and then begin to wear bolder pieces.
If you want to continue to stay warm for cooler temperatures keep the warmer fabrics at the bottom and start on top for wearing warmer weather clothing. That way when it does get cooler you can avoid looking like your stuck in January.

Catch Up On the Fashion Industry
Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog where we talk all things fashion! For today’s post I thought I’d catch you up on what’s been happening in the fashion industry. I decided to do some research and am going based off of what I’ve read on websites so forgive me if I miss something big which hopefully I shouldn’t. Anyways without further a due let’s dive into the tea.
Louis Vuitton Pulling Michael Jackson Inspired Pieces form the Fall Menswear Collection
The biggest news you’ll be seeing all over the online media such as websites like Refinery 29, Elle, Vogue, Glamour etc, are all talking about the Louis Vuitton Michael Jackson inspired line, which since its appearance during fashion week, won’t be released anymore. It was said that the iconic French brand was unaware of the recent documentary Leaving Neverland which had allegations of child sexual abuse related to the performer. The menswear collection premiered in January during Paris Fashion Week a little over a week before the documentary was premiered at Sundance. The collection was set to be launched for summer ‘19 and included pieces paying homage to the “King of Pop.” Those items included: a pleated shendyt similar to that worn by Jackson in the Remember the Time video, a collection of flag-print pieces inspired by We are the World, a jumper, hoodie, shirt and pants with cartoon figures from The Wiz; an all black musical that featured Jackson, a T-shirt with the image of the iconic loafers and socks worn by the singer; and a jacket based upon one worn by Jackson in the music video Beat It. Attendees were given an invitation to that of the image above, a rhinestone encrusted glove similar to the one Jackson wore. Along with that his music was played at times during the show. However after the release of the documentary Virgil Abloh the artistic director at Louis Vuitton released this statement to WWD a fashion news site saying “I am aware that in light of this documentary the show has caused emotional reactions. I strictly condemn any form of child abuse, violence or infringement against any human rights.“My intention for this show was to refer to Michael Jackson as a pop culture artist. It referred only to his public life that we all know and to his legacy that has influenced a whole generation of artists and designers.” Other Louis Vuitton representatives such as Michael Burke made statements towards stating that Louis Vuitton takes the welfare and safety of children as an upmost importance. Overall the costumer-led controversy on social media has lead to the stop of production of this collection and you most likely will not be seeing these “King of Pop” inspired pieces in Louis Vuitton stores.

This new line features over 100 products with all different colors and styles, it’s a spring plus bohemian dream. It is full of sophisticated beauty ranging from dresses to tops and everything in between and gives equality for all girls no matter what size to wear and feel great in their clothing.

Zendaya Casts all Black Models for her Tommy Hilfiger Line 👏🏼
If you didn’t know already model and actress Zendaya collaborated with Tommy Hilfiger to create the TOMMYXZENDAYA collection. It was shown in the recent Paris Fashion Week where history was made as the first all black models walked the runaway. Not only did they walk the runaway in Paris displaying her collection beautifully but they are the models for the online website representing her 70s inspired clothing line. According to TommyHilfiger.com “Co-designed with actor and role model Zendaya, our newest collection puts a modern twist on '70s power dressing.” Now let me say it sure does, the pieces featured in her collection include an array of colors, styles, and pattens from that decade. You shop the collection at https://usa.tommy.com/en/tommy-x-zendaya

Baby Phat is Coming Back
Kimora Lee Simmons owner of the iconic 90s brand named Baby Phat is set to relaunch her brand this summer. She made a statement to PEOPLE Magazine saying “It’s the rebirth of my baby.” Kimora launched her brand in the late 90s as a subsidiary to Phat Fashions Line owned by Russell Lee Simons. It was a collection of clothing geared towards women of color during a cultural decadance a symbol of glamour with a chic feline logo, hip hop street fashion, and of course rhinestones. Kimora Lee Simons was only one of the few colored woman to have a spot in weekly fashion lineups and casted diverse models at a time when it was rare to do so. Overall the brand was geared towards and available to everyone filled with the trends of the decade including low rise bottoms, rhinestones, velvet jackets, fur galore, and the influence of hip hop culture. No matter what Kimora decides to bring into this summer people are excited to see her new fashion especially if she’ll bring back pieces from those times with a modern twist besides that Baby Phat definitely won the early 2000s fashion industry. I mean just look at those phone cases!
Karl Lagerfeld’s Final Chanel Show
Although this event happened last month I had to mentioned because it was so important and known throughout the designer fashion industry. Karl Lagerfeld was the art director of Chanel and Fendi and even has a collection of his own, recently died last month on February 19 at the age of 85. He helped shaped and strongly influenced the fashion community with his work and ideas, and worked with numerous famous models. This Paris Fashion Week was officially Karl’s last Chanel show in which the models and those who attend paid tribute to him. For many it was an emotional show as they are pictured in tears. Karl was a fashion icon who had worked in the industry for years and his expertise truly showed within his works of illustration, styling, photography, and publishing. The final Chanel show was a winter wonderland ski village fitting the fall/winter collection displays. The show itself definitely showed Karl’s style with pieces primarily consisting of black and white a Karl got to and oversized coats with check print. Karl Lagerfeld will definitely be remembered by many in the fashion industry as his legacy and ideas continue to influence those around him.

Shoes Every Girl Should Own
When it comes to shoes there are so many different types, varieties, styles, and colors for all occasions and types of people. Now these staple shoes for me may be different for you depending on your style and what you consider basics, but overall I went off the most commonly owned basic staple shoes.
1. A Basic Heel
Okay, now this may not be everyone’s cup of tea but as you get older owning a simple heel is important for wearing to job interviews, formal occasions, or parties. There are many options out there when it comes to owning a pair of heels. Personally my go to heel for any occasion is a black or nude block heel with small straps. The reason being because this type of heel is very versatile since it is so simple and dainty. It can be dressed up by being worn with: dressy pants, skirts, a dress, jumpsuit, etc. Or it can be worn more casually with a pair of boyfriend jeans or a simple pant. The heel itself is also more comfortable when it’s blocky because the base of the heel is wider providing more support when walking and depending on heel height lessening your chance of rapid heel pain, if any. This heel is very popular amongst girls to wear during homecoming so there are many places to find one that is inexpensive and will suit your style. For this type of shoe you don’t need to find one that is expensive in order for it to do its job. Now for more of black tie white tie occasions or a serious business vibe go towards owning a classic stiletto heel which ranges from both high end to moderate so you can find/own a little bit of both.

2. Sandals
Along the line of open toed shoes is sandals. A flip flop is a basic need which almost everyone already owns. It can be found for very cheap starting at $1 and is used for sanitary reasons like when using somebody else's shower, for a day out at the beach/pool, or when just lounging around the house. Sandals, however, provide more support and comfort and are more commonly worn for spring/summer outfits. For me a brown strappy sandal is the way to go. During the spring time a brown or nude colored sandal is the perfect color contrast for brighter colors or floral patterns. Especially if you’re wearing a floral pattern of lighter colors brown will tend to match more. During the warmer seasons wearing black is more of a harsh and too dark of a color, so if you want to go with a more spring/summer vibe stick to lighter or neutral colored sandals. You will also notice to that brands typically have sandals which come in a variety of lighter and brighter colors.

3. Athletic Shoes
Everyone person no matter how athletic should own at least one pair of tennis shoes. Tennis shoes are often misperceived as being dad like, to colorful, or even not fashionable enough. However there are plenty of tennis shoes out there in the market that come in multiple varieties so you find one that suits your style best. Yes! There are even simplistic, light weight, and trendy ones out there. Just like most people I was also never of fan of really colorful shoes but brands such as Nike or Adidas make some really nice sleek black or white tennis shoes. You always want to have a pair of tennis shoes for the reasons of them being such versatile shoes, you can wear out for exploring a city, when you’re doing lots of walking, running or performing an athletic activity. Overall my favorite thing about athletic shoes is that you can find ones specific to your needs. For example there are shoes specific to running, hiking, or just walking use, and etc.
(photos courtesy of: Nike)
4. Sneakers
When it comes to sneakers this includes shoes like Vans, Converse or your everyday street style shoes. My favorite basic pair which is a staple that everyone already owns are Vans Old Skool a classic for being an everyday use shoe. The black and white combo and style of this shoe literally makes it match with every outfit. Even when scrolling through instagram and finding styling videos I always see girls style their Old Skools with skirts and even dresses. Overall my favorite thing about this shoe is one how it goes with everything, two how long these shoes last, and the style of the shoe including the combo of canvas and suede. Along the lines of sneakers are slip ons. Now these are the perfect swap for a traditional ballet slip on if that it is not your vibe. This shoe is great for wearing with those outfits when you’re not exactly sure what type of shoes to wear. Personally, I believe that the slip on sneakers look best with ankle cut or cropped jeans.
(photos courtesy of: Vans)
5. Boots
For this category I will be talking about three different types of boots. One is the rain boot which unless you don't live in place that gets a lot of rain, is a staple item. Even if you live in a place like California which does not get much rain sometimes the weather patterns are weird and we get those weeks or random days of rain. That is why instead of storing the traditional rain boot which can be bulky and take up space opt for a low cut ankle bootie rain boot. These rain boots will still do the job of keeping your feet dry but they are also a lot less bulkier and lightweight. Also appearance wise I‘d go for the look of low cut rain boots just because of the style. As for over the knee boots, these are great if you want to elongate your legs/body or give the appearance of thinner legs. Now on the spectrum of thinner legs, if you do have skinnier legs then go towards adjustable over the knee boots with ties in the back so it can fit to your liking. Over the knee boots are also more on the girly feminine side for people pair them with dresses and skirts. This is also a great way to add to your outfit if you are feeling lazy. You can always throw on an oversized sweatshirt (with shorts underneath of course) and put on some OTK boots which give the appearance of a more put together outfit. Depending on where you buy the OTK boots is can be both affordable and expensive so buy something which you know will last awhile but for a good price. Finally, every girl must own at least one pair of regular boots. Whether that be ankle boots, boots with heels, combat boots or fuzzy boots such as UGGs owning a pair of boots is a staple. Boots can be worn dressed up or down and are great during the fall and winter time when the weather is colder.
(photos courtesy of: Nordstrom and Asos)
6. Statement Shoes
For this last section, I though I’d throw in something a little extra which is not necessity but something which I know quite a few people own. That is statement shoes or shoes which are life of an outfit. Statement shoes can include one of kind custom sneakers, unique high heels, or out of the norm shoes in general. For example, shoes that are covered in bling, have a uncommon print/design to them, or are very bright color are types of statement shoes which are typically worn with a more plain or monochromatic outfit. For most women this is just an extra in their closet which they prefer to own but even then we all have that one pair of shoes which we only wear for certain occasions or at certain times.
I hope you enjoyed today’s blog all about basic shoes every girl should own because let’s be honest here we all for the most own plenty of shoes and could not go without the ones we wear everyday. Well that’s all for today folks!
Till next time!

My Favorite High End Denim
Hello everyone welcome back! In today’s post I will be sharing with you my favorite types of high end denim. Now usually I buy jeans at moderate prices ranging from $15-$30 depending on brand and quality, but sometimes I will find higher end quality or name brand jeans at a discounted prices. Or at full price if I feel like treating myself because that’s always nice too and it is good to own at least a couple pairs of quality denim. Now that goes with any clothing item because investing in a quality item of clothing will save you money in the long run. If taken care of properly it was last longer saving you from having to spend on buying new clothing items constantly because of wearing it and etc. The denim brands which I will be mentioning today are ones which I have owned items from or places where the price reflects the quality.
Frame Denim
Frame Denim, a long time favorite of mine, is a chic upscale store which is popular for their denim and specifically jeans. It was founded in 2008 so although a fairly newer brand it has gotten a lot of recognition. You can find Frame Denim in stores such as Nordstrom, through their online website, or you can visit their store in LA at this address: 8467 Melrose Pl, Los Angeles, CA 90069. The prices vary on the type of jean but typically range from the high $100s and above, as for other pieces their outwear and leather are on the more expensive side. However, they do have a sale section online which does include clothing at prices lower than retail. If you’re lucky you’ll be able to find jeans that were once $150 or above for about $90. Shop FRAME: https://frame-store.com

Le Sylvie Slender Straight Heritage: https://frame-store.com/products/le
Le Original Raw Edge: https://frame-store.com/products/le-original
Paige Denim
Paige denim is similar to Frame in the sense that the prices are around the same and they both have sleek modern designed jeans. My favorite thing about this brand is how well structured their jeans are. Just like Frame Denim the jeans have a nice stretch to them to they hug all your curves. In addition to that the jeans have sturdy steams and are a right commotion of stretch and stiff so that over time they won’t get baggy as easily as a traditional pair of jeans you would buy at lower end stores. Overall Paige is brand which I would consider buying more of in the future. Shop PAIGE: https://www.paige.com

Hoxton Ankle - Avalie W/ Waist Zips: https://www.paige.com/p/hoxton

Hudson Jeans
When I was younger I owned a few pair of Hudson jeans which I found for great prices at Nordstrom Rack. Now let me tell you that although they can be pretty pricey their basic jeans are cheaper than Paige or Denim, and they are the most comfortable jeans ever. The jean material is very soft and easy to wear all day and for the most part you won’t feel any discomfort. Sadly I outgrew my Hudson jeans but because they were older and had the old British Flag logo the jeans were able to sold for more than purchase price. :) Shop HUDSON: https://www.hudsonjeans.com

Nico Mid-rise Cigarette Crop Jean: https://www.hudsonjeans.com/women/shop-by-fit/straight/nico-midrise
Levi’s and Levi’s Made and Crafted
The final brand which I will be discussing today is quite popular for young adults and teenagers because it has been trendy to thrift, buy, and own Levi’s specifically vintage ones. Brand new Levi’s are definitely more affordable than the other brands mentioned above for it is way cheaper. However many people may not be aware that Levi’s has a collection of line of jeans called Made and Crafted. This collection of jeans is definitely considered more high end because its pricing ranging from $150 and up depending on style is more expensive than traditional pair of jeans and is around the same price range as Paige, Hudson, etc. Overall, I love Levi’s for the quality of denim mainly because I used to own a Levi’s jean jacket which lasted many years! And I know of people who religiously live in their Levi’s. Also the last two jeans linked below are on sale! So you should check them out. :) Shop LEVIS: https://www.levi.com/US/en_US/clothing/women/jeans/c/levi_clothing_women_jeans

720 High Rise Super Skinny: https://www.levi.com/US/en_US/apparel/clothing/bottoms/720-high-rise
My favorite other high end denim which was not mentioned:
Rag and Bone: https://www.rag-bone.com
Citizens of Humanity: https://www.citizensofhumanity.com
7 For all Man Kind: https://www.7forallmankind.com
Madewell: https://www.madewell.com
DKNY: https://www.donnakaran.com/category/dkny/women/bottoms.do
Lucky Brand: https://www.luckybrand.com
Finally, believe it or not buying a pair of high end jeans can leave a positive impact on your wallet and closet. For the most part people’s standards of quality and how long it lasts usually is upon mass manufactured clothing but you think of a more handcrafted and designed piece you end up getting more uses out of it. Let’s face it denim worth hundreds of dollars should be upfront about their materials and quality, but be aware that if they aren’t big on denim or if it isn't their focus then most likely you are paying for a label. :/ One of the reasons why I would buy and have bought higher end denim is because the vast majority of companies use raw denim. That simply means that the jeans haven’t been washed or treated in chemicals since the thread was dyed. This means that good raw denim is 100% which is a type we all want and need. Other brands such as Levi’s Made and Crafted use what is called selvedge which is referring to how the edges of the cloth are finished. Which is something to look for if you want denim that will resist unraveling. Furthermore, the fit of the denim is usually true to size and will fit you better in place you want it to fit nicely. That is because luxury denim brands will use patterns cut specifically to target a part of a body build answering your question of why there can be so many categories when shopping online at these stores. Lastly, the hardware and detailing of item will be a lot sturdier and upgraded. Hopefully this inspired you to want to add a pair of high end denim to your closet because in long run you thank yourself and if it doesn’t work out you can always resale it online for retail or more than retail price.
Till Next Time! :)

How I styled 1 pair of jeans 4 ways
Hello everyone! For today’s post I decided that I would go back to the basics and style one pair of jeans 4 different ways. All these looks are very versatile which means they can easily be changed or swapped out with a variety of items to make either more of a causal or dressy outfit. First thing’s first the jeans which I chose to style today are a pair of DKNY straight jeans which unfortunately I do not know the exact name of.
Outfit #1
This first look which I put together is more on the dresser side perfect for an evening dinner or more formal meeting with a friend. Since blazers have been popular and commonly worn both causally and more formally, I added a blazer on top of the white shirt to dress it up a bit. All together this look consists of a gray blazer with a higher neck white tee, DKNY straight jeans, and a gold necklace as a statement piece and to add more character to the outfit. I did not have the shoes to show but the ones which I would pair with the outfit would be black block heels with dainty straps. This would make the look appear more elegant and formal. Another idea for making this outfit a more trendier is to swap the gray blazer for a longer plaid or gingham patterned one and add a belt with gold hardware (to color coordinate with the jewelry) to cinch the waist. Down below are included the links to shop this outfit including where I got the items or items similar to those pictured.
Blazer: https://www.forever21.com/us/shop/catalog/product/f21/outerwear
^^(not exact but one similar and mentioned above)
T-Shirt: https://www.forever21.com/us/shop/catalog/product/f21/top_blouses
Jeans: Sold Out but here are similar ones 👇🏼
https://www.donnakaran.com/product/high-rise+skinny+ankle
https://www.donnakaran.com/product/the+slim+boyfriend
Outfit #2
This next outfit is consisted of a plaid green and blue flannel, same white tee as used above, DKNY jeans, and Doc Martens. Personally, I love this outfit since it gives off more of an edger vibe yet it is both comfy and causal. My favorite way to wear flannels is exactly how it’s pictured. By wearing a shirt underneath it adds a layering affect which gives the outfit dimension making it more visually appealing. In addition to that it also provides an extra layer of warmth. Instead of wearing a white tee underneath you could also put on a dark blue shirt to match the plaid. However. my preference for this outfit is a white or very light colored shirt underneath so that the plaid pops out more and acts as the statement piece for this outfit. To shop this outfit the jeans and shirt are already linked above and the shoes will be linked below.
Shoes: https://www.drmartens.com/us/en/p/24401006
Outfit #3
Outfit 3 is comprised of a black jean jacket, gray striped shirt, gray infinity scarf, DKNY jeans, and Doc Martens. This is another casual but cute outfit again following the idea of layering with the jacket and scarf. With the larger sized scarf and boots this can easily be a transitional outfit from day to night. During the day it can be worn without the jacket or scarf and at night can be added for when it gets a little more chiller. My favorite thing about this outfit is the contrast between what would be considered more feminine and edgy. Pairing more girly pieces such as the top with a flowy bottom and a scarf with combat boots and a black jacket is definitely not your standard style combo but in a good way/interesting. This is an example of how you intertwine different types of fashion styles into one outfit so it can fit more of what you like best. For example, if you ever feel that something is too girly for you to wear on a daily basis try adding something more edgy or out of your comfort zone which will tone down the outfit making it more of what you want.
Outfit #4
For the last and final outfit I’d thought I would put together something in between the lines of casual and dressy. This outfit fits right in between the two categories because it is neither formal attire nor too casual and can be worn to a cute cafe or for a day out . The overall outfit is made of the same jean jacket as mentioned above, a sheer high neck top, DKNY jeans, and old school vans. I would consider outfit 4 to be more of a spring or summery outfit because the top is sheer and sleeveless and the overall outfit is geared more towards being worn during the day. Another way to wear this outfit would be by swapping the jean jacket for a blazer or simplistic coat making it more dressy or to exchange the blouse for a t-shirt making it more casual.
I hope you enjoyed how I styled 1 pair of jeans in 4 ways, it was definitely an interesting experience considering all the combinations of outfits that could be made and built from one pair of jeans. Anyways, that’s all for today folks. Till Next Time!

My favorite shopping centers
Hello everyone! In today’s post I will be discussing my go to shopping centers. These are typically the places where I go shopping or think are worth a visit. Of course no mall is perfect and has its pros and cons, so I will be adding what I like and I don't like about the shopping. This is primarily opinion based and not facts for the purposes of this small review.
1. Victoria Gardens
Adress: 12505 N Mainstreet, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91739
Hours: Monday-Thursday 10am-9pm, Friday and Saturday 10am-10pm, Sunday 11am-7pm
Website: https://www.victoriagardensie.com
Located in Rancho Cucamonga, Ca Victoria Gardens is an outdoor shopping mall with 180 stores and services. This is a great mall to go to for an evening walk or shopping trip because of the different types of stores they offer. My favorite things about Victoria Gardens is that even during the summer time it does not get as crowded as any other mall would. Plus in addition to having a food court, they have restaurants and places to get snacks all throughout so you if you're on one side of the mall you don't have to walk all the way to the other to get food. In addition, it has a good selections of stores including, PacSun, Urban Outfitters, Forever 21, Vans, and more. The only thing which I do not really like is that some of the store spaces are really small and do not have as much inventory as any of their other stores would such as Forever 21. Overall a great place to go with friends or to shop and spend an afternoon in.
2. Ontario Mills
Adress: 1 Mills Cir, Ontario, CA 91764
Hours: Monday-Saturday 10am-9pm, Sunday 10am-8pm
Website: https://www.simon.com/mall/ontario-mills
Ontario Mills is an outlet mall which means that all the stores there have low or very reduced prices. My favorite thing about this mall is the large variety of stores there are and how big it is. You can easily spend a couple to a few hours there and easily find what you are looking for. In addition, it is surrounded by popular restaurants and other stores which it makes like one big place to satisfy all your needs. Not too long ago they added an addition to the mall so it is even bigger! Plus, I think my favorite thing of all is how diverse the mall is in the sense that there are both high end stores (Coach, Michael Kors, The North Face, Saks, etc.) and moderately priced stores (Marshalls, Cotton On, H&M, etc.) On the other hand, my not so favorite thing is that on the weekends and especially holidays this mall is very crowded. If big crowds are not your thing I recommend going on the weekday when the mall is usually way emptier. :) 👍🏼
3. Westfield Santa Anita
(photos courtesy of: DLR Group and www.stuffinla.com)
Adress: 400 S Baldwin Ave, Arcadia, CA 91007
Hours: Monday-Saturday 10am-9pm, Sunday 11am-7pm
Website: https://www.westfield.com/santaanita
Westfield Santa Anita is a mall both indoors and with an outdoor promenade. This mall is two stories with hundreds of stores and restaurants. It is so large that inside it has a Dave And Busters, bowling alley, and movie theatre! It is like the destination to spend a day with friends. The food court is three times that of Montclair Place with so many food options plus an additional more outside on the promenade. The food court on the promenade is very aesthetic and has the most Instagram worthy food. If you love green tea or matcha I highly recommend going to Matcha Matcha because it’s so good plus you will totally end up taking a photo of it. Aside from all the amenities it has a very good selection of stores and I have been able to find many good deals at location. The only downside I can think of is the parking, since it gets crowded on the weekends it will take a while to find a parking spot unless you get lucky. But overall, even if it is crowded the mall is so large that it does not seem like it. 10/10 recommend going to place at least once.
4. Citadel Outlets
Adress: 100 Citadel Dr, Commerce, CA 90040
Hours: Monday-Sunday 10am-9pm
Website: https://www.citadeloutlets.com/index.cfm
I heard about Citadel Outlets through a friend and I was glad to have discovered it because I have bought multiple stuff for great deals. If you're looking for jackets or outwear then this is the place to go because stores like Columbia, Tommy Hilfiger etc, have a large inventory at lower prices than retail. Since this an open air mall and if you want to avoid the sun go during the evening or nighttime when it is also less crowded. Overall I do not have anything cons to say about this shopping center since I have only been there a few times.
5.Glendale Galleria
(photo courtesy of: Mall Xplorer and kid101)
Adress: 100 W Broadway, Glendale, CA 91210
Hours: Monday-Saturday 10amp-9pm, Sunday 11am-7pm
Website: https://www.glendalegalleria.com/en.html
Whenever heading to or coming back from LA I always try to stop at the Glendale Galleria because if you thought that the Santa Anita mall was large well this mall is even bigger. The Glendale Galleria is located in downtown Glendale which means it is surrounded by even more little shops and of course Portos! In addition, just outside of the mall is the Americana which is pictured above and has shops, restaurants, and of course the fountain. It reminds me a lot of the Grove in LA and kind of looks like it too. Inside the Glendale Galleria you’ll find a variety of stores a large variety at that one too. From very high end stores like Louis Vuitton to yes even a Target! Here you will most likely find what you need and it is also very hard to not walk out with something from this mall. Personally I couldn’t think of any cons to this mall besides that it may and does get crowded but by now we know that is all malls. To avoid crowds you just have to know at what times to go. Overall this is another great mall which you have to visit at least once and from that experience trust me you’ll want to come back to shop for more.
Other malls you should visit sometime soon if you haven’t already:
In Los Angeles Area
Westfield Century City: 10250 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90067
The Grove: 189 The Grove Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90036
The Beverly Center: 8500 Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90048
Inland Empire
Plaza West Covina: 112 Plaza Dr, West Covina, CA 91790
Montclair Place: 5060 East Montclair Plaza Lane, Montclair, CA 91763
Puente Hills Mall: 1600 S Azusa Ave, Rowland Heights, CA 91748
Orange County
The Outlets at Orange: 20 City Blvd W, Orange, CA 92868
Irvine Spectrum Center: 670 Spectrum Center Dr, Irvine, CA 92618

What to Wear when Traveling
Hello and welcome back to the blog! I am lucky enough to say that this spring I’ll be traveling to Europe and can’t wait to eventually plan my outfits. That however may lead to the question of what exactly to wear when traveling. Good for you, today I’ll be discussing how to plan your outfits when going on a trip.
1. Know the weather
A couple days before it is important to check and review the weather to know exactly what type of of items to bring. Since weather changes constantly I recommend to check the weather again the day of your flight only to make small and last minute adjustments to your outfits. This may mean swapping out a sweatshirt for a coat if the weather turns out to be colder and vice versa. If it matters to you not to look like a tourist then this is an important step towards planning your outfit because wearing the wrong attire will definitely show that you are not a local. Other than that, you will also be uncomfortable either being too hot or too cold depending on the place visit. All in all this is a must for any trip and outfit planning.
2. Browse your wardrobe
An important thing to do which will also save you money is to begin by browsing your wardrobe first. As mentioned above with the weather you may find yourself needing to buy certain pieces. For most of us we put away clothes seasonally, which is why you need to check all your clothes before purchasing new items. If you find yourself lacking quite a few pieces I would recommend to try and work with what you got to see what you can put together. If your destination has cold temperatures a tip for saving you from spending on multiple coats and jackets is to layer. Of course it is important to at least have one jacket to put over your main outfit but layering is easy, uses the pieces you already own, and will keep you warm.
Since everyone has a different fashion style I didn’t put photos of outfit ideas but instead I’ll add videos so you can easily access some channels which may have outfit ideas for your fashion sense. I also tried to find a variety of looks but it seems like these YouTubers have similar style so hopefully it can work for one you. :) 👇🏼
youtube
youtube
3. Stay Comfortable
Depending on wether your trip is primarily to relax or a grand adventure staying comfortable is key. This tip particularly applies to the type of footwear which you will be wearing. Going to places such as Europe, big cities, or really anywhere will most likely include lots of walking and if you're in the airport possibly running so you don't miss your flight. A comfortable shoe does not always mean tennis shoes which for are some are not their cup of tea especially if they are not trendy or fashionable enough. The meaning of comfortable is different for everyone so wear all the shoes you plan on bringing before the trip and walk around in them to really see how they feel. Trust me the worst thing ever is to get blisters, cramps, or ankle pain. If your shoes are a no go then do not get discouraged because now they are many shoes out there that are both comfortable and cute. As for clothing choosing and outfit for the plane depends on if you are going any place important afterwards or plan on meeting people. That reason being because you definitely would not want to wear full on lounge wear if you are meeting family or end up walking the streets of your destination. There is always the option of changing after your flight but that requires different clothing which means more space will be taken up in your luggage. Some outfit ideas for staying comfortable while not looking like a slob while traveling include: joggers or trousers which re more uniform and out together than sweats, with a soft tee or knitted sweater depending on how cold you get, and sneakers because slippers are never an option.
4. What not to wear
A given is not wear items which are inappropriate for the climate
A complicated shoes: the more complicated the more uncomfortable and harder it will be and longer it take to go through security.
Pajamas: this item of clothing is really only appropriate to wear for bed and in the comfort of your own home.
Bulky Clothing: this mainly includes oversized coats or puffers which are going to take up a lot of room in your seat, overhead compartment or suitcase. Choose other alternative options when trying to stay warm. No tea no shade towards Raf but you probably shouldn’t show up wearing your Raf Simmons oversized puffer that day.
Flip Flops: they are not sturdy and for some uncomfortable traveling shoes. Plus, airports are full of bacteria and you wouldn’t want your feet exposed to or even accidentally to touch the ground. Stick to using flip flops as shoes for the shower (for germaphobes lol) or for the pool only.
As would any considerable person would avoid: provocative clothing, clothing with offensive logos, religious or any ethical offensive slurs.
Athletic Wear: wearing athletic wear from head to toe has its place and time except try to avoid wearing it while on vacation for it can appear too casual and will be hard to transition from sightseeing to dinner. Here are some ways you can swap some of those clothing items. Swap sweatshirts for a fitted classic knit, wool, or cashmere. Workout leggings can be exchanged for a fitted pant, and running sneakers for a sleeker or more city like sneaker.
Tight/Unbreathable clothing: 1) Very uncomfortable and 2) deep vein thrombosis!
Overall, when choosing or planning your outfits for vacation it all comes down to what the weather is going to be, how long your flight is because you definitely wouldn't want to wear a dinner outfit on a 12hr plan ride. Along with browsing your own wardrobe first to avoid extra expenses, buying and most definitely taking only what you need (stick to the basics people) but of course a few extras are ok. Lastly, you could read or research al the tips in the world but it is really up to on you think, feels, works, and is best for taking on your trip. I wish you luck on your outfit planning. Have fun vacationing! ✌🏼

A Virtual Shopping Trip
Hello there! Have you ever taken those quizzes on Buzzfeed trying to find out if you can stay under or on budget while shopping at a certain store? Well today I plan on doing something similar. I will be taking on the challenge of trying to put together 2 virtual outfits while shopping online from two different stores. To prevent from “cheating” I will need to put a minimum of two items in my cart excluding shoes. Since shoes typically take up the majority of the budget being for the most part the most expensive item. My budget will be $100 which leaves me some room for shopping at forever 21 but makes harder when shopping at Urban Outfitters since their items are on the more pricer side.
Outfit #1 Forever 21
Since it is the season of winter I thought that it would be best to attempt to make winter outfits. This first outfit was inspired by a photo which I saw online. All together it is a a long black coat (adding extra warmth), black fitted turtle neck, and my favorite piece from this outfit the plaid mini skirt with the utility belt. I’m not going lie, originally the budget for this challenge was $80. However, as I started putting together looks I realized that shoes alone were $35-40 almost half the budget. This wouldn’t leave me enough room to add a coat to this outfit to make it more appropriate for the weather. That is when I changed the budget to $100 which gave me more room to add and experiment with the look. Overall, this is an outfit which I would wear out and it ended up just right under budget by a few cents. Of course this could of gone differently if I had chosen different pieces which would have changed the price. However, I like how this outfit turned out and the way the gold necklace and studs adds a nice pop of color a detail.

Jewelry: https://www.forever21.com/us/shop/catalog/product/f21 $1.99
Total: $99.74 We made it under budget and by 26 cents 😂🙌🏼
Outfit #2 Urban Outfitters
This outfit is very 90s inspired with the square neckline dress and t-shirt underneath. Furthermore this outfit is composed of a white t-shirt which appears to be pretty high neck and a square neck line velvet black dress. Going over top is a light grey cardigan and for shoes are black high top converse with white lace socks adding more of a feminine touch. Since the beginning I knew that this challenge would well be a challenge, especially for this store. No hate, I love urban outfitters and have bought some stuff from there myself, but when trying to think of an outfit under $100 it can be tough. That is why I went with something more basic in hopes of it being cheaper. Except with the shoes and the cardigan this ended up going way over budget. The outfit probably would have stayed just under or on budget if I didn’t add $55 shoes, but believe or not they were the cheapest pair which matched the outfit. This outfit is cute and great to wear if you will someplace like in California where it really does not get cold during the winter time.

Total: $140 without bag and $150 with. Looks like we went way over on this one! :(
In conclusion, on terms of price range I may have chosen two stores that are way to different from one another. If I were to have chosen Forever 21 and Charlotte Russe or H&M I think it would have been easier and the outfits would have been more accessorized. Although this was an interesting, fun, and most of all stressful experience I think that for next time I will stick to shopping at equally priced or cheaper stores when it comes to winter clothing. Of course both outfits are definitely not warm enough to wear someplace in the midwest or east coast, but depending on where you live in the west coast it would work as day outfits. Another reason why these outfits did not come as wintery enough as I wanted them to was because finding a decently priced jacket to match an outfit (at least for me) was hard to find. For example, Urban Outfitters had the cutest jackets that I wish I could have used with the outfit except they were priced from $50-$60 and up. Leaving me only $40 for shoes, bottoms, and a top. Now this wasn’t just Urban Outfitters, depending on the material and type of coat Forever 21 had some pretty pricey ones as well. In the end, if the jacket is good quality then it is worth the price, but for this budget it just was not working. I will say though, the shirt, dress, and cardigan from Urban were good deals considering you find shirts there for $35, $40.
Till Next Time!

Ways to Wear a Skirt in Winter
Hello! Many people have the perception that you can only wear clothes seasonly, such as summer clothing only for or during summer. It is true that some items are not appropriate based on the weather. However depending on what that item is, for example a skirt, there are ways to incorporate it into the season you plan on wearing it.
1) One of the most obvious ways to wear a skirt in colder weather is to layer underneath. That could mean putting on a pair of leggings preferably with fleece or in places like in California where it doesn’t get too cold pantyhose/stockings. An example of this is pictured down below.
2) Another alternative for for stockings or leggings if those are not your thing is over the knee boots. Depending on the thickness of the material and how tall the shaft of the boot is, it can provide you some extra warmth. My tip for you is that if the material of the boots is on thinner side to wear some long or thicker socks. Ideas of outfits using this concept is down below. As you can see from the photos, two of them (top right corner and bottom left corner) are wearing pantyhose and over the knee boots which is an option if you want full coverage. Plus it adds a bit more detail to your outfit.
3) For any winter outfit, especially if the weather is very cold, the key is to layer layer layer! Many people dislike the idea of layering because of wearing too much clothes or the idea of getting too hot. However, if you dress in light layers you will not have the weight of heavy jackets but still have the warmth as if you were wearing one. Even if you do decide you want to take off a layer it will be much easier with light layers which are most likely packable. This makes it easy to put away if you enter a building or someplace warmer. Furthermore, the next way to wear your skirt in the winter time which is by layering over it. Coats, sweaters, long sleeves, jackets and all of the above are items you can wear to keep you warm if below your clothing is short. The photo on the top left corner is a prime example of this method since she is wearing a three layers consisting of a t-shirt, jean jacket, and coat. This outfit just comes to show that you can be both warm and comfortable when layering pieces.
4) Finally if none of the above suit you there is always the option of wearing a long skirt or aka a maxi skirt. Maxi skirts are long enough that they will cover the majority to all of your legs. This makes up for having to use tall boots or leggings as you would for when wearing a mini skirt. Some people are even able to pull off the look of a maxi skirt and ankle boots which for some is stylish and most of all covers the area which usually gets the coldest, their feet and legs. All of the photos shown are different ways that people have incorporated this into their winter outfits. The top right and bottom are some of my favorites accept the only thing I would change would be the heels to sneakers which would be warmer for the feet.
I hope this shed a little more light on the idea of being able to wear a skirt during winter time. Remember there is usually always a way around the weather, and with a couple research and some outfit inspo you will be able to wear what you love all year round! Till next time!

SoCal Thrift Shopping Guide
Previously I had written a post on thrifting 101 where I gave you thrifting tips for the best trip. Since thrifting was and maybe still has become a “trend” a lot of thrift stores are popping up or becoming more popular. For that reason, I will be giving you some thrift stores/vintage stops where you should shop. Some of the stores which I will mention are in the LA area but I encourage you to try to visit them sometime because you never know what you will find.
The first thrift store which I definitely would want to visit and one which you should stop by too is Out of the Closet. This thrift store has locations all throughout Los Angeles and even on in Pasedena. It is open Monday-Saturday from 10 am to 7pm and Sunday at 10am-6pm. Purchases at this thrift go towards people with HIV/AIDS. With every purchase Out of the Closet donats 96 cents to the AIDS Helathcare Foundation or AHF. They are pretty big advocates for this issue considering they have a lot of information about the foundation on their website and make it clear that they help this issue. Aside from this OOTC offers free HIV testing by certified testing counselors at certain locations. Overall this place is highly rated for their large and trendy inventory. Based upon reviews many considered this place to have friendly employees who are quite knowledgeable about their inventory. Depending on what you are looking for items are reasonably priced. The only problem I came across was the donation process which some people did not have the best experience. For that reason I recommend to just shop there and to donate someplace else.
Website: https://outofthecloset.org
Savers and Value Village are pretty big in the Midwest but there are locations here in California. Both stores are part of what they call the same family or chain of retail which is why I put them together in one category. Both thrift stores are typically in large locations and carry a good amount of inventory. Personally, I have visited the Savers down in Riverside. My experience wasn’t one which I expected. One thing I did like however was how organized the thrift store was. If you were looking for something specific you won’t have to look very hard to find an item here since the merchandise is categorized specifically. Aside from that I was disappointed in their inventory. Now this isn’t to bash the store but rather share my experience for purposes of this blog. The jeans were very worn out and old for the price and there weren’t many good quality tops. However, all stores are very different and merchandise in thrift stores are constantly changing. However, you tubers and other bloggers have found some really good pieces at both locations so I recommend giving it a try because you never know what you can find. One thing interesting about both stores is how big they are on reusing and according to their website they have kept over 700,000,000 pounds of reusable items out of landfills. For more information about the causes they support visit their website at https://www.savers.com
Although the Melrose Trading Post technically is not a thrift store I just had to include it because the majority of the items you can find here are second hand or homemade. The melrose trading post is a large flea market held only on Sundays from 9am-5pm at Fairfax High school in Los Angeles. To enter you do have to pay a small fee but it goes towards supporting the vendors. This month of January it is $4 per person or $5 regular price year round except when discounted entries are offered. This place is amazing for all the different varieties of items you will be able to find. The Melrose Trading Post has always been pretty popular but lately it has become more recognized for its trendy and unique clothing. Some items which can be found are steal while others depending on brand and condition are bit more pricey than your average thrift store. This is definitely a place to stop by at least once and if you do, make sure to come early because not only can it get crowded but you will be able to browse and shop the best inventory.
Website: http://melrosetradingpost.org
Now I could talk about a million other thrift stores which I know and love but I wouldn’t want to make this post too long! So I will briefly mention other places where I have found good items, want to visit or love to shop at.
https://mydeelux.com First known in the 90s as the “Cool Jerk” selling primary denim Levis. Now is a place where you can buy, sell, and trade and is known for inventory of contemporary and vintage clothing. Has locations in Orange and Claremont, CA.
http://redwhiteandbluethriftstore.com/covina-ca/ Popular local thrift store with large inventory. Thrift store with really good deals including 50 percent off daily and has everything for houseware to clothing. Has locations in Covina, Azusa, and Van Ays, CA.
http://fullcirclethriftshop.org Small but very aesthetic thrift store with reasonable prices and good inventory. I have found multiple sweaters at good prices from this location. Deals include a red tag $1 section and different price reductions on colored tags.
https://boysrepublic.org/auxiliary-thrift-shop/directions/ Very close to Full Circle thrift. Is small but has interesting inventory mainly vintage and 90s clothing. Is part of Boys Republic school which helps youth with behavioral, emotional, and educational difficulties by leading them back on the right track.
I hope you enjoyed today’s post and I will be back with more next week!

Minimizing your closet for the New Year
A great way to start the new year on a good note is to declutter. A lot of us own or often forget about all the clothes we buy. If you do not regularly go through your items you may be taking up space in your closet by hanging onto items you no longer need or use.
Please excuse the blurry banners, but the first items you should consider going through are your undergarments. Depending on how often or how much you buy the item it is easy to collect one too many. An easy way to downsize on the amount of undergarments you own is to get rid of pieces you have outgrown. For both male and female that could include small underwear and socks. As for just females that means removing any small bras which you may have outgrown, aren’t as comfortable any more, or simply ones which you no longer get good use out of. Next, is to throw out old pieces, and this goes for any clothing category because there comes a time where an item has gotten too much use out of it it and no longer can be worn.
The next and most known item to get rid of is small clothing or clothing which does not fit anymore. This could mean small bathing suits which are unwearable due to their size or ones which when buying thought was a great idea then was never worn. Although this takes some time it is a good idea to try on every single item you own in your wardrobe to really see if it still fits you or is something you still consider wearing. That being because when we accumulate clothes we often forget about the items we own and hang onto clothes we think still fit or even items that we wouldn't wear today, and end up reducing the space in out closets.
Items that have rips, tears, holes, are snagged, severely stained, are bleached stained or have shrunk are all considered damaged when the item was not purposely made or came that way. Now, of course if you take well care of your clothing then you may not have this problem. However, I encourage you to check your clothes for any little holes or snags because the more we wear our clothing the more worn out it gets. Making it more likely to get ripped if accidentally caught on something. Also, if you do not catch a flaw in your clothing then it may worsen over time. For example, if you did not notice a small hole in your shirt it may grow larger or rip more over time with usage. Overall, it is important to keep your clothing in good condition so it lasts longer and since accidents happen when you do come across a damaged item it is better to just throw away. Finding a way to repurpose the item such as using it as a rag, etc. is a great idea as well but it can also be an excuse to hang onto to an item which is unneeded. Examples of damaged clothing I mentioned above is below.👇🏼
This next category may be the hardest for some people. For the most part we are all attached to or especially love a particular item of clothing maybe because someone special in our lives gave it to us or it symbolizing something. The point is that getting rid of a piece we have held onto forever can be hard. My tip for you is to take a take a photo of the item or if it is something as a hand knit scarf to wear it one more time. By doing this it can allow some closure to owning this item and may make it easier to letting it go.
Overall, clearing out unnecessary clothing will allow more space for future purchases of items and will you make you feel better for decluttering and reliving yourself of old clothes. Since this post was inspired by one of my favorite fashion Youtubers, FashionByAlly, I have linked some of her previous videos down below. Gift Ideas for a Fashion Lover
Christmas Time is Here! Well almost, and with that comes along the stress of figuring out what to gift everyone for the holiday. Luckily I will be giving you some ideas for what to buy the fashion-savvy person in your life this Christmas. As always these gifts can and will work for anyone!
There is no such thing as owning too much sweaters. With that being said giving the fit go a sweater is one of the best to recive for a fashion lover. Due to all the different varieties and styles of sweaters out there, your fashion-savvy friend or family member will sure be wanting this year. If uncertain or can’t figure out the exact type to purchase lean towards options they’ll be sure to love. Those include current sweater trends such as sherpa/fleece oversized sweaters or even going back to basics with knitted sweaters. You can’t go wrong by giving a trendy sweater because even if they already own one, they will most likely not have the one they are receiving and besides the more the merrier :). Everyone could always use and want more basics or cute sweaters since they serve as an easy basis of an outfit, so don’t worry about gifting them with something simple.
Fashion-savvy or not everyone owns some form of accessory. That being either jewelry, hats, scarfs, and etc. Not only do small accessories work great as stocking stuffers but they also serve as great gifts. Of course whatever you buy them, they’ll love but some accessory gifts I would give to a fashion lover would be purses, jewelry, or sunglasses. Someone who is into fashion or loves dressing up will love the gift of a new bag/purse especially with all the varieties out there. Now that trends are bringing back styles from the 90s and so on gifting something such as a belt bag or aka a fanny pack, will show your trendy friend or family member that you put thought into finding their gift. Something I’ve also read that is currently popular are clear bag where contents inside can be shown so that can be considered an idea as well. Along with the idea of gifting ongoing trends would be vintage inspired sunglasses, something they will be glad to own more of. If you are feeling extra good that day try giving them a solid good pair of sunglasses. Besides trendy ones everyone needs a pair of good quality glasses that look cute and will protect your eyes from the sun. As for jewelry, there is so much you could buy from both cheap and expensive. I would recommend to buy both a daintier piece of jewelry along with a statement piece so they have options to choose from when it comes time to wear it.
Overall, there are plenty of things out there to choose and buy from so I wish you luck on gift shopping and Happy Holidays! :)

Closet organization whether small, or large comes important when owning a wardrobe. If unorganized you may miss out on some great pieces that you forgot about owning or never was able to be worn. Keeping a clean and organized closet is also beneficial for when buying new clothes. If organized you will be able to see what you already own to prevent buying duplicates saving both time and money. Want to save more time in morning or make getting ready easier? The key to that is closet organization! Which is why today I will be sharing with you ideas and tips for organizing your closet.
If you have a small closet maximize space by using all vertical space as possible, build your space upwards with shelves.
You can utilize space where shelves or organizers do not go such as around door frames or narrow spaces by using command hooks to hang the items you use mot often.
Put the items you use the least at the very top of the closet, so it stays out of the way. By using this method you can also switch out your clothes seasonally. I.E. During winter you will have more space for winter clothes if summer clothes are out away.
Depending on the space you have in your closet put your shoes someplace accessible for easy access when running late. Places can include at the very bottom or even up high.
One of my favorite ways to save space is to put smaller purses or bags in bigger bags. Be sure to put them inside a bag which you will remember they are to in to avoid tearing up your closet.
If you are unable to put shelves in your closet, a hanging organizer such as one for shoes works just the same as any shelf would and it is easy to move.
Hang strategically: Using matching hangers will give the appearance of a more decluttered organized space. There are many ways of organizing your clothes, so I encourage you to find one that works best. You will know the best way to organize your closet when can visually split it into zones the way you think about your wardrobe. However if you are lacking some ideas here are a few: organize clothes by color and type, what you wear the most to what you wear the least, or even just by category.
Overall when you open or go into your closet you should feel inspired and love the way it looks. If you are interested in even more ways to organize your closet here are some links with good information. :)
