Every Now And Then I Fall Apart

It was lonely, of course it was lonely, it was always lonely. Maybe if she wasn’t so stupid it wouldn’t be like this, well... Being stupid wasn’t the issue, not being quick enough to see it was.

Or was the two the same thing?

Whatever it is, it’s in the past, and nothing will change it, she must come to live with it, and live with it she did. Unfortunately, living with this sad truth doesn’t necessarily mean being happy about it, but she made due. Mostly, it was distractions, simple things like cooking things or reading her ancient tomes, but sometimes these didn’t help, and every now and then she’d find herself falling apart. During such moments, she’d find herself drifting off, her mind wandered and she stared blankly at the nearest object, or play with something in her hand, whichever her body preferred that day. But in the end she’d always be silent, she wasn’t sure if she hated it or preferred it. In order to avoid this, she’s force herself to do things..

Like now.

She was cooking, she wasn’t sure what, but it was cooking. She found herself drifting off again as she stirred the brew gently, damn, and she thought she got passed it.

“Once upon I was falling in love, now I’m only falling apart...” She chuckled sadly to herself. It wasn’t wrong either, both her physical and mental state was completely destroying itself, but once again, she’ll live with it.
