The amount of people who think that the Strange Man is talking about Arthur when he says to John, "You've forgotten far more important people than me," will never not astound me. Arthur haunted John's dreams and thoughts until the very day he died in front of that damn barn, and you can not convince me otherwise. If he remembers Dutch, Bill, and Javier, I promise you he sure as shit would remember Arthur lmfao.

Maybelle Elizabeth Colter AKA “Black Belle” from Red Dead Redemption 2

Probably my favorite side character in the game, gonna try and draw some of the others too. Suggestions are welcome!

A detail I find interesting in red dead is that they had a traitor before. They had a traitor before and they survived. It is the little detail that to me solidifies that it was not Micah that killed the gang, it was not him who ruined them, because if it had just been him snitching, then they would have suvived just as last time. Who really caused the downfall was Dutch.

The first time around Dutch would have been stable, he wouldn't have started his own downfall yet, so he was able to get rid of the traitor, gather up the troops and whisk them away to safety. He was the protector and he lived up to that name, being able to protect the gang even in dire circumstances like a traitor.

The difference from that time to this time, was not that Micah was worse, it was that Dutch was worse. He was mentally on a decline, making irrational decisions and doubting the people he could actually trust. He did not have the abilities to get them out of the situation that he had created by slacking and doubting. That is what killed the gang if you ask me.
