Let go of the past and stop anticipating the future
i want to see the world. I want to meet people. I want to paint and write stories and learn to play an instrument and sing and hike and take risks. I want to find my spirituality and embrace it. I want to be free of standardized society, of the pressure to succeed and of the worries surrounding money and power. I want to climb mountains, swim in the ocean, and discover new places and new people. I want to be loved for who I truly am and I want to let go of the past and stop anticipating the future.

This is the Eagle Nebula. The box on the right-hand side of the photo articulates the Pillars of Creation, a structure of gas and dust whose highest pillar is about 4 light years across (1 light year is about 587,849,981,000,000,000,000 miles...that's 12 zeroes!). As human beings on a tiny rocky planet such as Earth, we could never possibly fathom how large 4 light years is; even trying makes my brain hurt -.-
The Pillars are so named because nebulae are said to be "star nurseries" and stars are constantly being born in their midst. Another interesting point: this photograph was taken by the Hubble Space Telescope in 1995; the Eagle Nebula is 7,000 light years from Earth, which means when you look at this picture, you're looking 7,000 years into the past. You're looking at what the nebula looked like then. For all we know, it could look completely different or not be there at all now.

The Universe Is In Us
"When I look up at the night sky and I know that, yes, we are part of this Universe, we are in this Universe, but perhaps more important than most of those facts is that the Universe is in us."
-- Neil deGrasse Tyson
