@theha1r asked : "Hi Bella." Steve greeted softly, a wrapped brown package in his hands, complete with a rope bow. "Uh, happy birthday." He slid it over to her carefully, and it was kind of obvious what it was, a book. "I hope that's a good one? Robin helped me out a little, so I guess it's kind of from them too. But yeah, I hope you like it. I know you don't like making the biggest deal of your birthday, but I still ... wanted to get you something."

Bella tried not to make a big deal about her birthday but she did like it when people thought of her. She looked down at the wrapped package. "Oh, Steve, thanks." Bella told him with a smile. She gentle opened it. She loved books, reading was something she could do for hours.

"You guys know me so well." She said holding it close to her. "Thank you again."

Bella let out a soft sigh. He was good to her. Almost too good. She felt like she didn't deserve it, even thought she'd been told she did. His touch relaxed her. He was warm and cozy. Her lips pressed a small kiss to his thumb before she opened her eyes and looked up at him.

"I get this. This is scary, but a good scary. I like the idea of together." She said with a nod.

"You don't owe me a sorry but if it will ease your brain, I accept the sorry." His thumb stroked over her cheek as she tried to breathe deep, taking the deep breath with her. "Together." Jess nodded. "There's that smile." The pad of his thumb gently tapped her bottom lip.

"I really like you a lot too. Big time. And it scares me cause I've never felt this way about anyone. So let's be scared together - that way we know it'll be okay.."
