ShaZam Review: Best DCEU Film By Far!
New Post has been published on http://thatcoolblacknerd.com/movie/shazam/
ShaZam Review: Best DCEU Film By Far!
Synopsis: We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s case, by shouting out one word – SHAZAM! – this streetwise fourteen-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult superhero Shazam.
Brandon, Mike and Devin are here to review the DCEU’s best film ShaZam. This film is not just good for a WB/DC film, its a really really good film. ShaZam is a character that not a lot of people know and DC let David Sandberg tell his story and he tells a fun, entertaining, action packed story. We get angry at points in this review because DC should have been operating on this level for 8 years now and it is a shame that ShaZam is the property that they finally get right. All in all everyone should go see this film.

Us - Movie Review

Us - Movie Review
Brandon, Mike, Devin and Rashanii are back to review Jordan Peele’s new film Us. This film stars Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke and talented child actor cast. This is a horror, mystery, thriller that tell the story of a group of clones trying to kill their doppelganger in real life.
This film is being critically praised but we have noticed the audience is kind of split. And our show is not different Brandon, Mike and Devin loved the film and Rashanii thought it had some holes We discuss the plot, the meaning of the film, where the possible holes are our theories.

Happy Death Day 2U - Movie Review
New Post has been published on http://thatcoolblacknerd.com/movie/happy-death-day-2u/
Happy Death Day 2U - Movie Review
Synopsis: Having survived the farcical but utterly life-threatening events in Happy Death Day (2017), the feisty sorority sister, Tree Gelbman, finds herself in the same college dorm, thankful to be alive. However, this time, it’s Carter’s roommate, Ryan, who claims that he is reliving the same paradoxical day over and over again, as a mysterious paranoid killer in a single-toothed baby-faced mask with a big kitchen knife has made a habit of murdering him. Under those circumstances, a valiant but vain attempt to face the challenge, once more, will send Tree back to square one, trapped in an all too familiar and blood-drenched time loop. How many deaths separate Tree from a truly happy birthday?
Brandon and Rashanii are back to review the sequel to one of the most surprisingly good films of 2018 Happy Death Day 2U. This film does not hold back and picks up right after the last movie ends. They decided to take this film down a sci-fi past and its both rewarding and funny. Listen as we discuss where we think this franchise goes next, how they trick you in regards to the plot and how Jessica Rothe is too good for this film.

Alita: Battle Angel - Movie Review
Brandon and Rashanii are back to review Alita Battle Angel. This film is a visual masterpiece, with cool fight scenes and no substance. This is a prologue not a film and seemed to be a test run for James Cameron’s new Avatar technology. If you are a fan of Alita this is not the film for you. We talk about what plot is there, the fight scenes, how this could be better and a little Juvenile 400 degrees talk.

Bohemian Rhapsody Review - Highly Overated
New Post has been published on http://thatcoolblacknerd.com/movie/bohemian-rhapsody/
Bohemian Rhapsody Review - Highly Overated
Synopsis: Bohemian Rhapsody is a foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury. Freddie defied stereotypes and shattered convention to become one of the most beloved entertainers on the planet. The film traces the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic songs and revolutionary sound. They reach unparalleled success, but in an unexpected turn Freddie, surrounded by darker influences, shuns Queen in pursuit of his solo career. Having suffered greatly without the collaboration of Queen, Freddie manages to reunite with his bandmates just in time for Live Aid. While bravely facing a recent AIDS diagnosis, Freddie leads the band in one of the greatest performances in the history of rock music. Queen cements a legacy that continues to inspire outsiders, dreamers and music lovers to this day.
Brandon and Rashanii are back to review the single most over rated film of 2018 Bohemian Rhapsody. This is a mess of a film that clearly had too much input from the surviving members of Queen. There was no character development outside of Freddy, bad pacing, completely implausible scenes, but at the same time an incredible performance by Rami Malek. This film is worth seeing strictly because of Rami, but his is the diamond in the mud. Somehow this film won a golden globe and is nominated for best picture at the Oscars and it does not deserve it. We talk about the film, its issues, how it could be better and about Queen itself.

Vice Review - Christian Bale Becomes Dick Cheney
New Post has been published on http://thatcoolblacknerd.com/movie/vice/
Vice Review - Christian Bale Becomes Dick Cheney
Synopsis: The story of Dick Cheney, an unassuming bureaucratic Washington insider, who quietly wielded immense power as Vice President to George W. Bush, reshaping the country and the globe in ways that we still feel today.
Brandon and Rashanii are back to review one of our favorite films of the Year Vice. This is a film about the life of former Vice President Dick Cheney and his rise to power. This film pulls no punches on how much of a Super Villain Dick Cheney actually was/is.
We talk about his early days, how privilege both white and male was the driving force to his success, how great Steve Carell was as Donald Rumsfeld, how he handled his daughters sexuality, how funny this film and soo much more. This is a must see film and it fully deserves all the recognition its getting.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse
We are Back!!!! Sorry about the break…. my move to San Diego took more time than I thought. But we are back with our reviews and shows and we kick off the new year with my favorite film of 2018 Spider-Man into the Spider Verse. Myself, Devin and Old Man Wade discuss how much we loved this film.
This film tell a fantastic story about what it means to be Spider-Man, who can be Spider-Man and family. It took a unique animation style, along with a perfect cast and a great plot to introduce Miles Morales to the main stream.
If you have not saw this film go see and if you have kids go take your kids. This film won the best animation Golden Globe and honestly should be among the best films of the year.
