Having played the two free chapters, I've decided to hesitantly continue playing. The forced suspicion thrown onto the MC again and again is slightly annoying, but the chase part was done pretty creatively and the characters seems mostly alright.

So, is Terror Fest worth playing? I started chapter one, but the whole "MC is the descendant of a murderer, and everyone thinks they'll be a killer because of their EEEEEEVIIIIIL BLOOD!" trope is just...absolutely obnoxious.

Plus, the actual options seem Telltale levels of misleading. Tried to tell the half-sister that it was a good "prank", and ended up being rude and lowered the relationship(I think?). That's as far as I've gotten.

Yknow, I really wish PB would make side stories for Crown and the Flame.

Nothing major, basically like the side stories for Freshman. Showing a little bit of after the third book, with certain characters as the MC in each one.

And obviously LI-specific books, cuz a lot of em got lost later on. I didn't choose her myself, but I know Rose fans got abandoned after book 1, cuz she was in the other two books like...once.

I mean, he was an important person during the college stay. He's the entire reason MC was able to go to the college to begin with, and he hadn't really been used since book 3. It was actually really cool to bring him back as a focus, IMO.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but does anyone else hate how revolved around the freshman MC's life is around Professor Vasquez? The senior is literally just her reliving his life. I love almost every other part of this series and I have ideas for my own rewrite (God forbid I ever finish, writer's block + insecurities + work + procrastination are kicking my ass over and over)

I reread it recently and I figured out that I really wish it dived more into an identity crisis plotline. Who hasn't wondered "who am I?" At some point in their life? It's perfect for a college story. A lot of these books don't give a lot of characters an actual personality though and it doesn't ruin the experience, but I can't stop rolling my eyes.

We need a book that has a closeted trans character.

And they need to be well written, too. Having a character go through events like dead naming by people who don't know, dead naming by people who DO know and don't care, and eventually coming out to people they know/are related/close to.

Bonus points if, during deadnaming and misgendering stuff, they censor the deadname. That'd be a REALLY good way to show how that character has grown past their previous self, even when people try to drag them back.
