There was a Equestria Girls movie where the girls got shipwrecked and find a portal to Equestria on an isalnd. Sci Twi and Sunset both go to Equestria and become ponies. Sunset faces Princess Celestia for the first time in years.

.. Okay but why does the villain song near the end of EQG: Friendship Games, have the same tone as Cell Block Tango???

The exact thing that got me was the lyrics of “They all have used it, maybe abused it. So then why can't we do the same?”

Which.. sounds exactly like CBT, which has “They used us, and they abused us” and counters with “I betcha you would have done the same.”

Am I the only one who noticed this??? Like I doubt it was intentional, but I went INSANE.

Bestie your fluttershy/celestia post has me reeling because I've believed for a long time that Celestia had a plan for Fluttershy that never got to happen. Celestia trusts Fluttershy with a similar amount of responsibility that she does with Twilight throughout the show. And like you mentioned, Fluttershy being Celestia in the play. I dont know what it is but I feel like there is something there

THIS IS SO TRUE. I’m SO glad someone else feels this way omg. Literally the connection between Fluttershy and Celestia has always driven me absolutely insane because there’s SO much to unpack.

Aight listen up, from what we see in the show, it’s literally canon that Discord centers himself with his head as the lead for his body movements (in theater, there are generally three types of body movements. Head, chest, hips).

Noting this because, head centered people are generally extremely smart, and calculating. This just further backs up my proof of how absolutely genius his character design is.

This is probably the dumbest post I’ve ever made and is SUCH a reach, but I’m running on fumes of caffeine and not much sleep so you can have this:

Pretty much everyone knows (with the exception of the comics but that’s not super important), that Celestia is like. The only other person that Discord is ever “shipped” with. Whether you agree or not, the point is: Celestia and Fluttershy are basically his main “love interests” (present and former), according to the fandom.

Notably to this, Celestia is also the one who asked that Fluttershy be the one to reform Discord in the first place. Okay that’s not all surprising, but-

In (s8, I believe), the episode where Celestia isn’t the best actress and they need someone last minute, she has Fluttershy take the role of, well, herself. Fluttershy plays Celestia in this.

I suppose what my coffee/lack of sleep fueled post is trying to say is: was this intentional? Is the Celestia/Fluttershy comparison that the show makes, actually a higher meaning? I just keep coming back to the fact that there are a multitude of similarities between Fluttershy and Celestia, and it even comes down to their common friend/love interest. Maybe this doesn’t make any sense, but I can’t stop thinking about it.

Thinking about how, yes, all the Mane 6 represent one element, but it’s all together that they make friendship. And thinking about how literally every friendship they ever made throughout the series is what comes together at the end to make friendship = magic.

If that isn’t absolutely insanely beautiful and deep for what’s supposed to be a children’s show, then I don’t know what is.
