Y'know I think one of the reasons that Boat Media™ hits is that, no matter what, the interpersonal relationships are Gonna Get Weird. Like you are isolated, you have made a new microcosm of society where Discipline is literally needed for everything to Work, but the potential for it being misused is extremely High. You can't and shouldn't have Intimacy but people simply Are Not Wired That Way so you end up with fucked up bonds. You're so alone and you can't leave and you cannot walk away from other people's Drama and are Drawn Into It like it or not. You're barred from each other by job/rank but there Have To Be shipwide events to loose pressure.
Everyone is made to be a total freak about each other and I love it
