This is barely a headcanon and way closer to canon but I think Blitzwing really likes puns.

Elaborating on this. Stairs would just be impractical when there's bots of all sizes and shapes. Ramps would work better, for vehicle mode and for bots with wheels on their feet.
I don't think stairs exist on Cybertron

Do you ever think about how Megatron has severe trust issues, especially after the Starscream thing, to the point where he even is hesitant to trust Lugnut at first, yet he says he trusts Shockwave completely? Because I do.

I love TFA Shockwave soooo much. You have to understand that he's both a scary and efficient agent and also really cringefail.
He's cool and awesome but also full of anxiety. The video that actually got me to watch TFA was a compilation of Shockwave being a mess.
As much as he presents himself as a cold, unfeeling, and emotionless mech, he really is full of emotion. To me. The biggest example would be him pointing and laughing at Lugnut when he falls over. Another example is that he doesn't always do the most logical thing. He blows his own cover because he wanted a chance to gloat and torment Bumblebee with the knowledge that he messed up and it was his fault. He thinks he won.
He's so awkward and bad at lying and this catches up to him and he eventually has to blow his cover again on Cybertron but here's the thing! That doesn't even go badly for him, he successfully attacks Ultra Magnus and steals his hammer! And even though he later loses the hammer, he still successfully kidnaps Arcee! He's both cringefail and competent!
Idk I just really like him :)

@shadowcat222 YES I love that Shockwave does this, no matter how professional he tries to seem he does love to psychologically torment his enemies. He literally blew his cover just to have the chance to gloat over his enemies because he thought he won.
While all the other decepticons don't care enough to bother to use names, Shockwave gets more personal with it.
I'm thinking about which decepticons use names and which don't. Because this is important. To me.
Decepticons like Megatron and Starscream don't usually use characters names, just calling them "autobot" or whatever other descriptor. Blitzwing also usually does this, but there was an exception, he did remember and use Professor Sumdac's name. Starscream never really uses the names of his enemies, but in the simulation, if that is comparable to the real Starscream, he does reveal that he knows the autobot's names. Just chooses not to use them. Megatron doesn't even use Optimus Prime's name until the very end.
But Shockwave? Shockwave is different. When fighting Rachet, he uses his name instead of simply calling him "autobot." My friend suggested this could be because for years he was undercover and had to learn everyone's names, but there was no reason to keep that up after he blew his cover. And it would have been showing that he didn't respect them by not using their name. I do not think Shockwave respects anyone but Megatron but it is interesting that he chose to use Rachet's name.
Idk. Just some random thoughts. I notice things when I watch stuff.
#and yeah just failed with rachet LOL#he tried!!!#reminds me of a discussion with my friend where it would be a scenario where he tries to psycologically mess with cliffjumper#but cliffjumper isnt having any of it he just gets mad and punches him#the psychological torment works very well on other bots! but not him FNSJFJEJ#[ analysis ]

do you think longarm was a guy shockwave killed and stole the identity of or purely made, solely shockwavexs autobotsona?
OKAY SO another friend of mine was the one who brought this idea up originally that Shockwave is wearing a dead Autobot shell and I REALLY LIKE that idea. He killed a guy and used his parts for a disguise. Shockwave really is the guy with the most number of kills in this show, huh

I think Blitzwing, if not for being under Megatron's command, would actually be very fascinated with organic life on Earth.
It's so interesting how they all scurry around in the city, and then it's so quiet in the forest, but not if you really pay attention- the forest is full of life.
But unfortunately, he doesn't have time to appreciate life. He is a Decepticon, and he must follow Megatron's orders without question.

Actually I'm gonna talk about it right now because I really like this au and want to share it.
So. TFA Psychonauts au because I love the psychonauts artstyle and would love to see the tfa characters in it- unfortunately I have no idea how to draw in that artstyle or even where to begin designing au versions of the characters so I'm sticking to text for now.
The general plot of tfa would remain the same except it's all on earth and instead of giant mechs it's psychic people.
Of the main team, I know both Rachet and Bumblebee have their own electrokinetic powers (each different types), Rachet also having psychic healing powers (not really a canon power but as a longtime psychonauts fan I have come up with many many extra psychic powers). Prowl can cause illusions and turn invisible. Unsure exactly what powers Bulkhead and Optimus have, but the latter as well as Prowl can make psi-fabricated weapons.
Of the villains, Megatron is an expert in psi-blasts, and can fire a huge blast of pent up rage and energy, similar to his cannon. Starscream, while not his specialty, can summon his archetypes in the physical world. One for each clone! I am excited to draw those, as soon as I figure out what Starscream would look like if he were in Psychonauts. Blitzwing has the power of both Cryo and Pyrokinesis. Maybe a third one for his random personality, but I don't know what it would be. Lugnut is a geokinetic because his punches are enough to cause craters. Blackarachnia can communicate with spiders and psi-fabricates webs. Shockwave... well, at my friend's suggestion, no one really knows what Shockwave's specialty is. He keeps it a secret. He does build lots of psychic devices, though!
I have more ideas, but I'll leave it at that for now. I just really love both of these medias and I wanted to combine them ehehe.

I always enjoy the headcanon that Shockwave had to learn how to make facial expressions and whatnot to go undercover and he is Not A Fan Of Them
YEAAAAH he's so not used to it... Probably another reason why other bots think Longarm is so awkward, because his facial expressions just seem... a bit off. Must be nothing though, right?

I said I'd share my headcanons on what Longarm Prime was like while Shockwave was undercover, so here I go.
From what we see, Longarm appears to be a confident and efficient bot, but I also think he was really awkward.
Shockwave is not good at lying. But lucky for him, none of the autobots are good at picking out a liar. They all just think he's kinda awkward, nothing to be concerned about! Why would Longarm Prime be lying?
Shockwave is so full of anxiety constantly, even if it seems like he's some cool and scary agent. Imagine what it must have been like for those fifty years while Megatron was presumed dead, he just has to keep staying undercover with no directions. That must have been awful for him.
Did he ever think about leaving? What was the point in staying if Megatron was dead? But no, he stayed. He did not give up hope. And it paid off.
Okay this kinda turned into Shockwave headcanons but hey they're the same guy so it's fine LOL
If anyone has their own headcanons about this topic send them here I wanna hear :)
#i have many many thoughts on shockwave#he is very important to me because he's what got me to watch tfa so yay#but yeah i like him a lot#might post some more shockwave headcanons/thoughts later#im still nervous tho LOL#[ headcanons ]#tfa longarm#tfa shockwave

What are some of your headcanons for the Intel bots?
ok ok umm gotta pick out my favorites
I think. Cliffjumper isn't really thrilled about his promotion. It seemed great at first, now he was in charge, but. It's a lot to be in charge! Especially when the last guy was a double agent. There's SO much he has to clean up and put in order, it's a mess.
Also other bots don't like it because now they're much more likely to get tackled for doing the wrong thing.
I think he and Blurr didn't really have any strong opinions on each other besides "he's kind of annoying" (cliffjumper about blurr) because Blurr would always rush in and rush out of his "office" before he could even say hello.
But to be fair to Cliffjumper I think a lot of bots find Blurr annoying. Which is why he ended up becoming friends with Wheelie and Dug Base, people thought they were annoying too.
I also have a lot of headcanons on what exactly Longarm was like when he was undercover but I'll save that for another post!
#my headcanons are always paragraphs instead of short little blips LOL#im not good at thinking of random things- just about what characters opinions are on things#[ communication line ]#[ headcanons ]#chrometheraptor#tfa blurr#tfa cliffjumper
