‘Carlos is allowed to refuse adopting Jonah because he doesn’t want to be a dad or because of his stuff with Gabriel and is allowed to grieve his dad’s murder for however long he wants or however long it takes’ and ‘Carlos needs to stop putting his life on hold and putting finding the killer on the top of his priority list for years to come and have his husband suffer (even if he doesn’t want it to happen) and needs to think really hard about all of this because there is a three year old child that he loves who needs him more than anything’ are also takes that can co-exist and that’s what makes TK and Carlos so wonderful and complicated and sweethearts that they are.
