Valentine's Day

Disclaimer: This is a rant. I saw an ad for a florist on facebook. They have flower arrangements that are priced to up to more than 8,000 Pesos. EIGHT. THOUSAND. PESOS. In 2012, I went to Cebu for 3 days and 2 nights. I spent about 8k for my air fare, accomodations and a few meals. That was worth my money. Hindi ko maisip kung panong may market to. I mean, hello. Sinong bobo ang gagastos ng ganon kalaki para sa isang bagay na itatapon lang din naman after a few days kasi lanta na? Hindi praktikal. Lalo na sa ekonomiya ng Pilipinas ngayon. Guys are expected to bring out the big guns on preparing for this day. They tend to overthink this and try to out do each other. Lalo na pag mataas ang expectations ni girlie. Tapos pag hindi at par, kasalanan pa nila. For me this defeats the purpose. You're supposed to celebrate love on the day! I think valentine's day celebrations are overrated. Why put all those efforts on one day when you can show your SO how much they mean to you all the time? You don't need a "special" day to do it.

It is in times like this, where I'm a little too drunk, that I tend to miss you too much that I just want to grab you from wherever you are and just feel your lips against mine.

I can’t count how many times I have thought about us at night. How many stars have accompanied me as I look at various constellations while I tell them the story of us. I spent a lot of time thinking about how much I am liable for how we are right now and there isn’t a moment when I wouldn’t wish that we would meet again and make things right between us.
