Lot Shrunk Base Buildings - 4 sizes with Residential and Community versions

These are simple, undercoated structures that you can edit to make lots for your hood. I love to use Lot Adjuster for all my tiny lots because you get more usable space, but I don’t like going out of the game to adjust every lot. So I keep these buildings on hand and place a copy when I have a build idea. They all have flat roofs but you can add most roof types to them

The come in 1x1 2-Story, 1x1 6-Story, 1x2 2-Story, and 2x1 2-Story. They all have connecting walls and floors in case you want to make row houses

About the pool tiles: you can get pools a little closer to the edge if you place them before shrinking the lot. This is very handy if you want to make a tiny lot near the coastline because water mods require a pool tile to work. Just pick where you want to hide your pool tile and delete the rest. You can also use these to make a nice sized swimming pool on a tiny lot

WCIF: Pre-Shrunk lot templates that fit together?

Hi Simblrs! Someone had made these awesome pre-shrunk 1x1 and 1x2 lots that fit together perfectly for building rowhouses and the like and uploaded them here. I have been searching for days. I did a reset on my entire folder and I lost them - and I'm so pissed that I didn't save the link! Please - does anyone know where to find these? They were sooooo cool and useful for those of us who really don't want to learn lot adjuster T-T

Some highlights from the last round. Jeebus. This is a lot - so here goes from the top-left:

Baldwin: Sophia made friends with Gabriella Newson just before getting into a private elementary school. Income-based social stratification in progress.

Int. Shot of the high school's 1st year classroom. Gavin's having a really hard time at school right now. I'm not really sure what's going on. His only friend (besides his sister) is the nurse.

Peterson: Jessica and Victor (townie) got engaged. She's pregnant again, but miscarried the first baby sadly. Victor's 12 year old nephew Simon also lives with them.

Weir: Connor's boo-thang Barbara Micelli gave birth to a baby boy. She's also pregnant again. Connor's also still in love with his old girlfriend Diane and I don't know if there's ever gonna be a wedding here.

Cleveland: Justin got his first kiss.

Chiorubo: Jordan and Toby got engaged

Cho-Riley: Vivian had a baby girl named Ami, and she and Timothy finally tied the knot.

Cordial: Samantha gave birth to twins - fathered by Gabriel who helpfully stopped by to woohoo just before the birth. smdh.

Shahan: Diane had a baby boy... for Geoff. Despite her lingering feelings for Connor. And Geoff's feelings for literally everyone.

DeBateau: Armand picked the naughty twin, and she's pregnant - for the second time there actually, Armand's holding his junior first born who's about to age up.

Some pictures from the Cordial-DeBateau wedding. Usually, Armand chooses the meek, gentle, quiet twin Samantha. But this time, he chose violence. Since this is my 500th time playing Belladonna Cove (San Tolino) due to crashes, cc-problems, and on this latest reboot, Windows locking me out of my own computer for 30 days, I tend to think things are going to go the way they always do. I must - MUST get this hood to like, gen 5. I'm determined!

Anyway. This wedding was a great example of how I like my weddings to go. Armand and Kim got married, and left their newly born son at home with the nanny to run off on their great honeymoon. Meanwhile, the witches got into a fight, Tara showed up to her father's wedding to her new insane step-mother in her school uniform in protest, and pregnant Samantha sadly watched her twin tie the knot with a man who actually wanted to be with her. Technically, this also means that Armand DeBateau II (aka Armie Jr.) will be slightly older than his cousin. More kids coming on this round.

I really needed to hear this today, and always. I usually have no turtles in my pond. I am just starting to accept that I in fact, do not have turtles even remotely as often as some other people do. But I sometimes find a single, small, solitary little turtle in my pond and I get SO EXCITED BECAUSE OMG A TURTLE!!! GUYS LOOK I FOUND A TURTLE! ME! I FOUND ONE! And then said turtle runs like a deer and I'm sort of like 'wait.. I wanted to pet you I think?' And my mum is always like 'it's okay if you never find a turtle baby, just make a baby turtle on your own if you want to!' and I'm like 'yes… I could do that? But am I good enough to make baby turtles on my own if I can't even find a grown up turtle and pet it?' And if I do - by some miracle - find a grown up turtle, what if I really don't want to pet it? TURTLES MUST BE PET! Oh god.

I took the label because I figured that finding the odd turtle just once or twice a year is not really finding turtles on the same scale as other people. Apparently people find LOTS AND LOTS of turtles all the time. I might not find one for 2-3 years. And then maybe I find two. And both of them run because I get too excited and don't know how to pet them or if I even want to pet them because goddamn it I just wish I was normal. It's really fucking hard to find something out about yourself that's so integral to who you are and who you love and what you do THIS late in your life.

Trying to figure out if you’re ace or aro can be so goddamn hard because it’s like, trying to find the absence of something. Imagine you’re at a pond and you want to know if there are any turtles, or fish. Say you find a turtle and you’re like “great! Now I know there are turtles.” Or a fish, now you know for sure there are fish. Or you find both, and now you know for a fact there are both turtles and fish in the pond.

But like, if you don’t find any turtles it might be that there are no turtles or maybe you’re just really shitty at looking for turtles and maybe you THINK you saw a turtle over there or maybe it was just a stick. Maybe there are only a few turtles. Maybe you need to do something special to find the turtles. Maybe a bunch of these rocks are actually turtles but you couldn’t tell them apart. Maybe there are no turtles. You have no idea. Meanwhile some people are saying “Oh there have to be turtles! You’ll find them eventually ;)” or “How many turtles have you found in your pond?” or “Try planting some vegetables at the shore to attract the turtles.” Or “Oh no! What disaster happened to your pond that there are no turtles?” And you’re just standing there wet with an empty net and a tired expression.

But whatever because whether there are turtles or fish or not your pond’s ecology works just fine without them because that’s what eco-communities do they form a system around what they have. You aren’t missing anything if you don’t have turtles you just have a pond system without turtles. If someone tried to change you by pouring a bunch of turtles into your pond it would probably fuck something up.

So you don’t have to be entirely sure. You don’t have to search every inch of the damn pond before you can decide there are probably no turtles. If you want to take the aro or ace label because you think it fits go for it. And if you do find your turtles you can rename the pond. That’s fine.

Searched for these recolors for A WEEK after first seeing them here - at one point I thought I was going nuts and imagining things but omg - FOUND!!!! I cannot WAIT to put these in game. This is so much more how kids dressed when I was a kid, and how I would dress my actual kids because this is CUTE and sweet and innocent - not a micro-sized adult wearing adidas... >.>;;

Colour Of Magic - A First Fits Kit Recolour

It's??? Finally done???? Someone pinch me.....ANYWAY buckle up for one hell of a long post lmao. If you don't want to read the whole thing, the TLDR of it all is: every single item from the First Fits Kit, recoloured with a BUNCH of different swatches including solids, mix-and-match patterns, and hand-drawn graphics (inspired by the copious amounts of clothes I buy my nephews) - and it's all base game compatible. Very colourful, very bright, and hopefully, very fun! Hopefully this will make the tragically beige-reality of the actual kit become little more than a bad, bland dream.

All joking aside, this was actually really fun - if not slightly stressful - to do, and I'm actually pretty pleased with it. I love all things colourful and quirky, so was a bit disappointed by the very muted swatches for this kit. I really hope some of you like it! Oh, and it's called Colour of Magic for no reason other than the fact I'm rereading the Discworld novels at the moment asdfghjhgfdsa. ANYWAY details, previews and downloads under the cut!
