It would be nice to have all that time to do what you want, but the largest problem with reducing to a 4 day work week, is that you will get a cut in pay, unless you work 10 hour days on the four work days. I’m sure most would not want to work 10 hour work days, and have less evening time to try and have time to theirselves. Plus we live in a society that wants “stuff” doesn’t matter what “stuff” it is, we want it. If you’re not working, you’re not getting paid. And if you think companies will give you a raise to make up the difference, think again. They are not going to dig in their pockets to make your life better. (Hence why we have unions in certain jobs)
If we demand more money for less time, prices go up, and we won’t be able to afford to live a leisurely lifestyle. Now we could ask those millionaires if they would dole out some money to help the economy, but a lot of them worked hard to get that money. (Not all of them, but most) They saw what work would do for an individual if they apply themselves and save money back for those things that are important.
Yes men worked a 5day work week, because they had to. The wife was taking care of the kids, the home, the shopping, and that was the only income…compare to today where BOTH are working a 5day work week, just to make ends meet. It’s not easy having a family, a home, a car, and hopefully money saved for a one week vacation for the family. It comes down to this; you reap what you sow. Work hard, make good money, and appreciate the time allotted you when you have time off.
And lastly, find a job you love. (Some people hate the word ‘job’ so let’s call it a career.) when you found a career that you enjoy being a part of, then the time spent doesn’t seem so bad. Plus you have well earned money you can do with what you want, because you earned it. Would we all like more time for ourselves? Yes we would. But the alternative says we won’t survive financially if we did that. Oh, and I’m currently self employed….I work way more than any 5 days a week, because I need the money. But I love what I do. And sometimes I work extra hard so that I can take a much needed time off. It’s all about priorities.
I waited long time before I replied to this topic, but I needed to put this out there. All said with love. 😊
I know I don't shut up about this but frankly not enough people are angry about the 5-day/40 hour workweek (and I am AWARE a lot of people work even more than that). I feel like a lot more people should be absolutely furious that we only really have two days a week and some occasional hours in the evening to socialise, run errands, do chores, or relax.
It's no wonder so many people are profoundly lonely and disconnected from their communities when maintaining a social life in what little free time we have is incredibly difficult. If you have kids, a second job, a very long commute, or other responsibilities, it's nearly impossible.
We literally aren't meant to live like this and I'll never stop being shocked how many people just take it as the natural state of things and don't want to throw a brick through a billionaire's window every time they think of it.

One of two banjo resonators that I’m painting on. I have several projects that I’ve been working on. I hope to post them here soon. Sorry I’ve not done so sooner, but I’m pretty full up on my painting schedule. Any questions you may have are surely welcome.

Good Evening all.
It’s night time here and the rain is gently falling on my roof as I sit here with my Earl Grey tea and honey. I haven’t posted much due to the fact that I didn’t have much to post as far as art is concerned. I am working on several things on the art table, as well as paintings on the easels. So I should be posting something soon.
The image included is a T-shirt design I created years ago to help promote local tourism for the river that passes by this particular town. I tried to keep it simple yet funny.
Anyway, I’m still working on getting videos recorded of how I do my work. Can’t seem to find the niche that will ultimately put out good content and not be boring. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated!

Good morning Friends,
Just sitting here before I start painting today, with my coffee, and thought I would post this project that I had done over a year ago. This was commissioned by a friend who wanted to honor those who served in the Marines, mostly for his dad. This iconic image was something I had never painted before, but I really felt good painting it.
I’m working on small projects at the moment. I really need more exposure to my work. Also still working on updating my website.
Hope this post finds you all well, and if you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
hugs

Good morning all.  Just sitting here with coffee in hand as I try to get my day going. Lately I been working on some small projects. I posted this digital art above, that was created in both Bryce 3D, and Photoshop.  It is suppose to be a coffee shop. Sadly the original file is on an external HD that has basically crashed. Needing to find a way to get new heads to read the data and recover, but anyway, this is still a nice bit of work. Mostly I built all of the elements in separate files, then imported them into this room.
So, I have goals that I am trying to attain this year: Youtube tutorials, new drawing/painting habits,  But getting started in those new goals has been hard to do. Any suggestions?

For both the artist and the photographer, one should never be without these to put your model/object/prop in front of and get great shapes!  I wouldn’t mind having this setup at all!  (hint to anyone willing to give) j/k.^_^
I think this needs to be my next investment. I’m getting tired of every photo having a black background. :/

Just thought I would post my newly created signature/logo, which will be part of my website makeover. Would love some feedback. I love it so far. I think it says a lot without doing much more than showing my name with artistic flair. The website has been the same since i first put it up, and I feel it was too cluttered. So I am hoping the new website will garner me more commissions and sales.

Could not resist just adding this today as well. This was a monthly contest with Wizard Press, the magazine that prices comics, talks with artists, and had other interesting topics. I happen to do this art of Iron Man and won envelope of the month! (again, this has been a few years ago) They gave away great prizes, and I was totally shocked to have won!
I enjoy doing bits of art like this. I get to inspect technique, and design, and as you can see composition is important to be able to show the character, and yet leave room for the important stuff.
I would appreciate comments if anyone likes what they see!

Just wanted to show you the process when I do a job for a client. The top image contains 3 designs that I created for a client to choose from. Sometimes there is a clear idea of what the client wants, or maybe I get to choose to design what I want. In this case I got to create these designs. You can tell I was influenced by skaters, and skate parks. I enjoyed that idea. But to change things up I added 4 wheeling ATVs. This design is what the client eventually opted for.
The second image is the final project. This is a 40ft portable slide for a carnival that I airbrushed both sides. As you can see some changes were made to accommodate the length of the slide.
This is by no means how I do my commissions each and every time. What I didn’t have images of were all the research images I gathered, the sketches I made in order to get to the three colored designs.
If you like what you see, and would like to contact me for a commission of any kind, just email me at: [email protected]
