I might need to take a bit of time to grieve. My workplace, Joann Fabrics is closing down. It was the first job I've had that didn't have a toxic work environment, unlike my previous jobs which was at a local grocery store and Walmart (although I've had better memories at the former).
But I'm staying until the bitter end. It's the least I can do to show my appreciation for all they've done, including helping me recover from all the mental turmoil Walmart inflicted on me.
It's gonna hurt, and I'm hoping that maybe I can keep in contact with my former coworkers. Or better yet, at least a few of us find jobs at the same place.
One thing is for sure, I'll NEVER return to Walmart. Not that they'd want me back anyway after I had that meltdown.

Well my last day at Walmart turned out to be on the 13th rather than the 18th. I didn't finish the series of vent art like I wanted to, but here's what was supposed to be the last drawing.
Context: Butterflies are sometimes used as symbols of freedom and rebirth so I drew two kinds of butterflies that are found in my state of Nebraska (Red Admiral and Painted Lady). The vest is supposed to be nailed to a wall/gravestone. The dates shown are my first and last day at Walmart.

You know what? I'm just gonna rip the band-aid off and say it.
I ship Hilbert and N. So yes I like Isshushipping. I don't give a flying fuck about their canon ages because I don't follow Pokemon canon 99% of the time anyway.
That being said, my personal HC is that N and Hilbert have both aged since the events of BW/B2W2. They're both in their late 20s/early 30s.

I recently put in my two weeks notice at Walmart because the whole place has become too much of a shitstorm for even a retail veteren like myself to handle. I decided that I'm going to do a series of vent drawings for all the shit I had, and still have to deal with.
