teoaang 40 for the dialogue prompts if you're still doing them? (- thinkingisadangerouspastime)
HELLLLOOO! I am sorry this took forever, but I went through like four different ideas before I landed on this one. Teoaang is so soft and full of joy, so thank you for prompting me to write this little drabble about them! The line I had to include was: “I never stood a chance, did I?”
I hope you like it! 💛💛💛
***
Every evening, after they had finished their restoration work for the day, Aang and Teo raced around the Northern Air Temple. The races would start at the platform located at the top of the highest tower. Teo would count to three, and then both boys would fly from the platform into open air, spiraling down the mountain-side, coasting between spires and past scaffolds to the base of the temple. Everyone could always tell when it was time to make their way to the dining hall because, like clockwork, Aang and Teo’s laughter ringing off the cliffs preceded the bell that typically called the residents of the temple to dinner.
The winner was whoever reached the center of the lotus mosaic in the main courtyard first, and more often than not that person was Aang, who couldn’t quite seem to stifle his competitive streak, especially not when gliding was involved.
It was a crisp autumn evening, when Aang landed on light feet across their designated finish line with Teo only moments behind him, skidding sideways and sending flurries of dust from under his wheels and into the air.
“I told you I was going to beat you today!” Aang crowed, taking a victory lap around his boyfriend, arms outstretched, allowing Teo to grab his hand and pull him in.
Eyes rolling, but still with a cheeky grin, he sighed, “I never stood a chance, did I?”
“Most days, you don’t.” Aang leaned over to waggle his eyebrows at Teo playfully. “I can feel it when the wind is on my side.”
“Uh huh. And I can feel it when you’re planning on using airbending to cheat,” Teo teased. He leaned forward a bit, so now their faces were slightly closer together.
Aang had the good sense to look abashed at having his not-so-secret secret called out, but only for a moment before his contrite expression molded back into joy.
“Sometimes I can’t help it. Without airbending, it’s just falling but fancy.” Aang had inched his face forward an imperceptible amount. That he had done it all was only noticeable by the now visible mingling of their frosty breath in the cool autumn air.
“Hey, I like fancy falling!” Teo protested. He wasn’t really mad when Aang used airbending to give himself the occasional boost during their races. At least, not since he had attached the new motor to his chair.
Something changed in Aang’s face. The boundless joy he had been wearing a moment before had transformed into something both somber and affectionate. “I like falling too.” His voice was soft, his eyes locked onto Teo’s. He lifted a hand to brush a stray leaf out Teo’s hair, and it took everything Teo had not to nudge his head into Aang’s warm palm.
Teo felt as if they weren’t talking about their glider races anymore, but about a different kind of falling. “Well, you know I beat you at falling in one way, at least,” he breathed, matching Aang’s eye contact despite the blush rising in his cheeks.
Aang grinned and leaned forward even more. They were now mere inches apart from each other.
“Oh, come on. I was right behind you on that one.”
Teo closed the distance between their faces, pressing a brief but warming kiss to Aang’s lips.
Teo pressed his forehead to Aang’s and grinned, “We can call it a tie.”

teoaang as a relationship is so compelling to me & i just think we should talk about them more... like we’ve got
- friends to lovers
- mutual pining
- wholesome pranksters
- bonding over the effect the war has had on them & how gliding gives them freedom
- Aang’s desire to solve problems creatively and with minimal damage and Teo’s critical thinking skills + engineering talents, the two of them rebuilding parts of the earth kingdom (maybe aang enlists the help of waterbenders to clear teo’s flooded hometown & helps relocate some of the war refugees, teo designs a dam that operates using earthbending)
- teo’s interest in repairing what his father has done to the northern air temple and aang wanting to preserve his nearly extinct culture...
- them traveling across the world, being nomads & helping people wherever they need to...

For the people who wanted to see it 😤
———————————
“What is flying to you?”
Teo hums softly at the interruption, some kind of blueprint laid out beneath his hands which still at the sound of Aang’s voice. It’s a rather simple question to answer, one would think. Most desire to fly if only to feel what it’s like. More often than not the question is asked of Aang himself. What it’s like. Sometimes, what the point even is. The purpose since many would see it as fruitless. What is to gain from flying around when there is endless work to be done on the ground?
But Teo considers him, a seriousness to his expression that stalls Aang’s breath in his chest with anticipation. He’s not sure what exactly he wants to hear but he’s certain Teo will get it. Because Teo has always understood him to an almost terrifying degree.
When Teo does eventually speak his words are quiet, unsure, “Freedom…but also connection. If that makes sense. Like as I pull away from the ground I gain a stronger tie to the sky and the air.”
The answer is unexpected and yet not at all. Teo has always possessed an innate sense for these things. When Aang answers its with excitement barely contained in his voice, “It does make sense. For Airbenders, being in the sky is like being a part of the air itself. It’s almost like being home. It settles something deep inside us.”
“Right,” Teo starts, “it’s like going home..”

I give you dear readers! The Fire Prince Who Loves Me!
It's my Bridgerton meets Avatar fic solely because of this quote: “If we find nothing, I shall offer myself up for your target practice.”
This is our tale:
Fire Prince Zuko - son of Lady Ursa and deposed Ozai - has decided it is time to marry. He's present at the same courting season his younger sister Azula must endure. He will find a bride and he will keep his family intact.
Katara is determined to find her best friend, Yue, a husband. She needs one to take the Northern Throne. She just never expected the gentlemen to be this useless.
Mashed up world. No prior knowledge of Bridgerton required. Even though we know you can see the end.
I love them so much. Zutara comes with YuTen, Sukka, Mailee, Teoaang, and Jetzula. Slow perhaps but when has that gone wrong?
Should I be writing other things? Yes.
Am I writing the shiny new the muses like? Also yes.
Cheers and enjoy!
This fic is not rated for those under the age of consent in your country. It is meant for adults and we wish this to be respected
Also adults, wouldn't read at work. Well after this chapter.

confession
Teo’s got a fat-ass crush on you.
Why would Toph have said something like that?! It didn’t matter that it was true. What mattered was the obvious fact that Aang did not and would never reciprocate his feelings, hence why Teo had planned to take them to his grave. And now—now Aang knew, he knew, Teo would never be able to show his face around him again.
“Teo!”
Fuck, Teo thought, shortly followed by, I wish I’d equipped my wheelchair with rocket boosters. Maybe then he’d be able to forever escape from Aang’s pursuit. Start a new life in another country, where he wouldn’t have to worry about loud-mouthed so-called ‘friends’ spilling his deepest, darkest secrets to the entire world!
Of course, Aang wasn’t the entire world. Not by a long shot.
But he was Teo’s world. And therein lay the problem.
“Teo, wait up!”
To keep running, or not to keep running—that was the question. The brick wall at the end of the hall soon made Teo’s decision for him. Dammit, how had he missed that he’d turned down a dead end?
“Wow,” Aang panted, hands dropping to his knees as he came to a stop beside Teo. “You were practically flying there!”
Teo knew he needed to make a joke, laugh, drop a wry comment, anything but let an awkward silence fall, but words refused to come. Maybe it was because his mouth was dry, his tongue lead, or maybe he was simply too afraid to speak for fear of how Aang might respond.
“Hey, Teo,” Aang said, and Teo flinched, averting his gaze. If he had to make conversation, then he simply wouldn’t look at Aang. Problem solved.
“Yeah?” The stammer that shook the single word shut down Teo’s desperate attempt at nonchalance before he could even kick it into gear.
“Is it true?” Aang said after a pause. He made no move to encourage Teo to look at him, but Teo was bewitched by Aang’s words all the same, glancing up at Aang with wide eyes.
“Is… what true?” he said, playing dumb. Too dumb, based on Aang’s barely suppressed eye roll, though a small smile tugged at the corners of his friend’s lips.
“What Toph said. About you. And me.”
Shit, Teo’s face was burning hotter than the midday sun. This was precisely the situation he’d wanted to avoid! For the rest of his life! Ooh, he was so getting back at Toph Beifong if it was the last thing he ever did—
“Because if it is true, I have some good news,” Aang continued. He crouched beside Teo’s wheelchair, settling just below Teo’s eye level. Teo could only stare at him, terror and excitement and adoration all swirling like a whirlpool in the pit of his stomach.
“You do?” he whispered, and Aang nodded.
“Yeah,” he said, leaning toward Teo. Teo didn’t pull away. “I’ve got a fat-ass crush on you, too.”
And when Teo threw caution to the wind, pulling Aang into the first of many fervent kisses, he decided maybe, just maybe, Toph had known what she was doing after all.

You pick whichever one you want:
1. Thunderstorms for Teoaang
2. Farmers Market for Irosami
3. Flowers for TyLaang
💕💕💕
Okay but you realize I have to do all of them right?
Irosami here.
TyLaang here.
Thunderstorms - Teoaang
Aang wondered the halls, careful to keep away from the open windows pouring in rain onto the slick tiles.
Thunder boomed in the sky, seeming to almost shake the walls. It was a pretty bad storm, most people were staying inside. He’d been going around accounting for everyone to make sure nobody was stuck anywhere. And only one person was missing.
He stopped in front of Teo’s door, already knowing with his seismic sense that the boy was on the other side. Aang gently opened the door, struggling to close it against the wind.
“Hey.”
Teo said nothing. Aang sighed and crouched down, folding his lanky legs under the desk so he could sit beside Teo.
“Is me being here helpful or harmful?” Aang asked.
Lightning flashed across the room right before a large thunder clap. Teo flinched and gripped onto his arm. “S-sorry.”
It felt like a different kind of lightning when they touched.
Aang cleared his throat. “It’s fine, Teo. You can hold onto me if it helps?”
Teo hesitated for only a moment before another sound of thunder had him burying his face into Aang’s chest. Aang hoped he wouldn’t hear how hard and loud his heart was beating.
Slowly, he wrapped his arms around Teo’s slightly shaking body. They stayed like that for a while.
Somehow his fingers had found Teo’s soft hair, carding through it lightly. “I’ve got you, Teo.”
Teo must have believed him, because eventually Aang could hear his soft snores.
