Red string of fate AU but the first time James pulls at the thread lightly and Regulus feels it he gets absolutely paralyzed and on the verge of a breakdown because until that moment he’d been sure he was not destined to be loved by anyone.

After that (and because there was no response from Regulus’ side and James is a stubborn man), James starts to play with the string a lot and Regulus gets so used to the feeling that it becomes a familiar sensation that grounds him in the worst moments.

So when he’s at a party and James hasn’t played with the thread for a while, Regulus uncertainly pulls at it for the first time just to make sure he’s okay and James is very happy about it and also a little bit tipsy so he starts ranting without checking to the first person he sees, that being Regulus himself because they’re actually at the same party.

The small meow of a cat made all four Gryffindor boys jump, completely exposed in the middle of the darkened Great Hall as they laid Sticking Charms along the Slytherin benches. James, Sirius, and Remus had frozen at the sound, but Peter caved, screaming the order.

Immediately, all of them bolted in different directions, hearts beating in their throats, lives flashing before their eyes as they all wondered which direction Filch would head once his cat told him what she'd seen.

But James, who had run in the direction of the Dungeons, planning on taking the secret passage there up to the fourth floor, felt a hand grab his collar and pull him in an abandoned classroom.

"Oof!" His muffled yell was stifled by a cool hand as he slammed against a body, and it took him only a moment to realize who it was. "Reg! Filch is coming, we have to-"

"Filch is asleep," Regulus Black rolled his eyes, snaking his arms around James's shoulders. "I was the one who made the noise."

"What? Why?" James asked, still flustered, trying to calm his frenzied breathing.

"I wanted to snog my boyfriend, and I had to get you away from your friends somehow," Regulus shrugged, tilting his head to the side and grinning.

"I-oh," James nodded, a huge smile spreading over his face slowly. "Alright, then."

And Regulus's lips on his own made him completely forget that his three friends were probably still running frantically around the castle.

Introducing the 1st Jegulus Reverse Bang!

In the Jegulus Fandom we have the Jegulus Big Bang events, but has anyone ever considered that event in reverse? Well, here we are! Calling all artists and authors! If you are interested in this event, please let us know here if you would be interested in a discord server.

What is a reverse bang?

A reverse bang is simply a Big Bang in reverse. In a reverse bang, the art is created first and is used to inspire a fanfic. Artists will submit art sketches and a prompt relating to their art for authors to claim. Authors will then write a story inspired by the art. This event is meant to be fun and collaborative for all involved! This event was inspired by the Prongsfoot Reverse Bang.

How can I participate?

When sign-ups begin, artists will submit their concept. No art will be required just yet. That comes later on. Artists will sign-up via a form, and fill out as much information as possible. After authors will sign up to claim an art piece later down the road.

How many works can I contribute?

Two. You may sign up as either an artist twice, or and artist an author. At this time we are only allowing everyone to sign up as an author once, unless you would like to be a pinch hitter, if needed.
