Crazy, crazy, and even more crazy.
Just what the title says. Been stressing over the craziness that is work, and even been trying to figure out the cat situation. Yes, I will be bringing home my cats home, hopefully by next month. Just need them spayed and then we should be good to go.

No go.
So, with the temp foster, found out she was sick and needed to be taken back to the rescue. She's doing good, but now I've fallen head over heels for her. Might adopt her.

Temp Foster a go
So, with the last cat I spoke of was a no-go, but apparently, I will be doing a temperary foster with another cat, but just for the week. She is what they call "A Daluted Torti", but she was farel with some other kittens. There are 8 (including her) in a cage. All of them except her have come around and love to be around people, and to be petted. With her, she is very standoffish, and will run away from you if given half the chance. However, last night when I went over to clean out the litter boxes, she actually purred in my arms and tried to snuggle with me as much as possible. She would even rub up against my hand when I would place my hand infront of her. I will be picking her up later today, and I hope this will work out well for her. Wish me luck.

No Go
So, I spoke with one of the ladies about what time to bring the cat over, and found out more information about this cat. Apparently, when she was ran over by the car, there was more to her injuries. Her skull was cracked so badly that the vet had to take pieces out to ensure that no more damage could be done to the head or brain. But it also sounds like she had a severe concussion with it as well. Not only that, the bones in her back leg that were injured... they have not healed and most likely never will. Because of how the breaks happened as well, they can't pin them or do anything with them. Not only that, but it sounds like the nerves might be damaged to the point that they might even be misfiring that all they are doing is causing this cat pain. She also told me that I can't read her like a normal cat, which is by how the tail reacts. Apparently, she is known as a "tail thumper" and the only way I would be able to read her is by her ears and her facial expressions. I sadly, don't have that kind of exerience and will never claim to. On top of all of that, the biting has grown worse to the point that the lady who is currently taking care of her, is scared for my safety, and won't even go near this cat because she has been biting more often and to the point that she feels that I will not be safe with temporarily fostering her. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, I can't afford to be going to the doctor every time she bites me and draws blood. My hands are my tools and I can't work with damaged tools. So, with a heavy heart, I am sadly going to have to decline taking this cat in for safety reasons. Even my parents wanted to help out, but I can't put them at risk either, and I won't. Last thing I want is them to get injured, or even sick.

Just clearing out
So, tomorrow I will be starting a temparary foster of a cat. From what I have been told about this furbaby, she is super sweet, but was run over by a car. Almost $500 have been spent to ensure that she survives. Good news, she's just fine, minus a limp. From what the lady who is currently fostering her has told me, she's fine with kids and adults, but when there is another cat, she gets very aggressive. This lady also has 8 other cats she is fostering, so... that makes this a little more difficult. She has also told me that the cat has even bitten her to where she breaks the skin, all the way down to the bone. My job will be to see what happens while I'm fostering her, and what would be the best placement for her. My hope for this is that this cat won't need to be put down, and can be placed in a good home, whether it's in a single cat home, or a more special placement. Wish me luck.
