Update: NEW 25-colour code
Recently, I developed a 25-colour code for the fretboard diagrams I intend to post instead of just using nine colours.
The old nine-colour code looked like this:

The new colour code system:

This should give a unique colour to every interval found in the common and popular scales.
Hence I am in the process of re-working ALL of my fretboard diagrams to this new colour coding. I'm also thinking of re-working the fretboard note name colouring to reflect scientific pitch notation, basing it on octaves from one C note to the next.
Squier Classic Vibe '60s Tele
Among other distractions, I finally buckled and decided to buy a NEW Squier Telecaster but then the 40th Anniversary Tele (!in Satin Blonde!) was also on sale and, you know, accidents happen. So, within a week a new Squier '60s Classic Vibe and Vintage Blonde 40th Anniversary telecaster appeared in my possession. Now having three telecasters, I believe I have crossed the boundaries into being a collector - oops, oh no ;]

Although I don't intend on commenting here about guitars themselves, I've got to say the '60s Classic Vibe 'Custom Telecaster' (-whatever that means) is just awesome! Yes, the pickguard on mine is distorted upward a tad (you don't notice this), and the neck seems to sit a bit high making bridge saddle adjustment a little difficult. But the sound, it sounds like a tele and the sound quality is just awesome. Fret buzz is non-existent.
Then you get to the gloss finish and this is just awesome, the finish is something else. Among other things the weight is right. If you were to save up to buy a 'REAL' telecaster on the cheap, this is it !
Anyway, so I've been distracted, and so this blog hasn't progressed lately.

About
By definition a blog is basically an online journal kept by an individual entity, be that a pet, person, company, etc... This being so, I feel the first blog post should introduce the individual and suggest the origin of the blog name.
My name is Cameron, I have an affinity for early (original) Blues music and for many years have attempted to play such music on guitar. I had an acoustic guitar until I had the fortune on Ebay to buy a Squire Affinity (chinese-made, budget Telecaster) in pieces (with parts missing) and assemble a complete guitar for around $70 USD ! !
And now I understand where Jimmy Page started, and Keith Richards continues.
