MTT with his big square suit and how he sometimes wears it again makes me think of what Tenna thinks when he whips out that 'rockin 80s power suit' look on stage after their partnership hehe-

Does Mettaton in the au still debut in his boxier brick form (or well, obviously a human equivalent of it), like how his Ex form was technically a recent design in Undertale chronology both just in timeline but also since the reveal itself was on live TV; definitely would be ‘rebranded’ I suppose differently than in-game. Or would that be a more offscreen ‘not ghost anymore, not superstar yet’ intermediate stage between transitioning? Curious to know especially since it’s how we were first introduced to MTT and he’d more than marketed himself with face stakes and statues in his temporary square body-

I was thinking about this at work and became immediately enamored and obsessed with the idea that the boxy-ness comes from him wearing siuts 3X too large on purpose with big as fuck sholder pads.. ehehheheheh

His pants are hemmed in the back so he doesn’t trip and eat shit but they are still GENTLY KISSING THE FLOOR. the only things he’s wearing that are his size here are his shirt and his belt (or sometimes suspenders hehe) He also has heels under those big ass pants.

There’s a combination of reasons he came to this look I think… it’s a play on the 80s men’s power suit and part of his parodying of the era. In a more subtle way it’s also a “t-guy’s first siut” joke to himself, as well as a way to hide his body in his earlier days of transitioning. (And on Rough days later.) It also kinda looks high fashion if you squint LOL

It’s a very iconic look for him.. and he still dresses like this sometimes! (same way his robot box form is iconic and he still uses it hehe) I think he also still very much enjoys this look and it’s done a lot for him… his “EX” debut is just him finally branching out after he takes off the suit one day and is like “Huh. There’s a Man under there.”

BUT YEAH I’m. Obsessed with him.

He’s my Battle-master fighter in one of my dnd campaigns and OUGHHRR I WANNA BLOW HIM UP

He’s a self absorbed prick and he’s so (outwardly) full of himself but he has NO RIGHT to be. I love making him fail and the butt of the joke and HES SO LAME!!!!!!!!!!!

He grew up in a cult as part of the (HUGE) head family so he’s a little rich boy but he’s also seen the horrors LOL

To give you an idea of his awful behavior, I played him in a oneshot recently and there was one particular monster he wanted to kill SO BAD that he tried (AND FAILED. DISPITE HIS +5 TO STRENGTH) to push his teammate away to get to it. And he didn’t even get to kill it. And he threw a grown man tantrum about it. (HE DIDNT KILL ANYTHING THE ENTIRE FIGHT)

it’s genuinely so fun to figure out a balance between his horribleness and being a good teammate in this team game. this party is so fucking funny because we get shit done but we are constantly bickering it’s the best… we’re in a sleepy hollow spooky ooky esque setting where everything sucks GREAT. IT SUCKS AWESOME.

One day once my UTDR Brainwoms subside a little I’ll do a backstory post tee hee…. I ALSO GOTTA START REBLOGING SOME OF THOSE OC ASK GAMES. SO I HAVE MORE TO TALK ABOUT..
