(Assuming the fairies can read) imagine them using names they see on trash— like Crest and Kit-Kat

when naming fairy characters, one might automatically think to go with nature themed names: Leaf; Daisy; Moonlight; etc. but one must also consider that those names are so common it’s like, the John Smith of fairy names. there’s like five other Leaf’s in every graduating class. one must think about the fairy parents who want to name their children something unique and exotic, maybe even something human, like DVD, or Windex, perhaps even Motorcycle

Ok so is a drunk giant like a whole lot more dangerous than a sober one? Maybe. But also, consider that a big, usually scary giant is very funny when tipsy and a lil sappy with it. Think about it. Giant who's usually seen as frightening to the local populace drinks their entire supply of whisky, slumps down in town square, and just starts gently touching things and weeping about how small and cute everything is; and any menacing image of them in their heads all the small folk had is gone. Reputation ruined, they know you are big softie now!
