Mostly more of Sam being gay and Mark being cute. Norman is funny.

Quinn's kinda dumb. But I love Sam and hope he doesn't turn out to be a bad guy. Resourceful, musical, queer, tatted jack of all trades who seems good-natured - I loves him, precioussss

Usually I use this blog for favourite screencaps of games I've been playing, but since this one just released, I won't do that... but OMG. This made me emotional at various points.
spoilers spoilers spoilers spoilers spoilers:
spoilers spoilers spoilers
At the first sign of the queen being tired and trapped, my heart immediately went out to her, and the hero immediately became someone who wasn't just a pest, but who was trying to free her as much as they were the kingdom.
When you stand there taking hits and refusing to hit back - lol the way the hero jumps up and down like the game version of stomping your foot impatiently. And how they just up and leave for a mo...
When she starts bending down to touch them to burn them, instead of just snapping her fingers dismissively, I just had to sit in my feels for a mo
When she suddenly was dying a lot faster (I don't know if the game was designed that way with that fight, or if I just got distracted and fought worse) and went into her final form, I almost cheered! (I didn't, because I was playing on lunch at work, but it was a near thing)
When one of the possible responses about her not taking that form sooner was that it was suffocating, but if you select it, she only says "..." instead of actually saying it ;_;
When the hero suddenly died way too soon, and you can ask what happened, and they say they got distracted, I want to know what distracted them?! Are they okay?!
Whoa, how come I stopped being able to do two of her attacks and only had the tentacles? I assume the battle was meant to end there?
It took me way too long to realize you could only burn the hero's body when you were standing over them. I wasn't paying attention to my position the first time the instruction to press space came up, so after the second fight I kept just pacing back and forth wondering if my spacebar was broken.
I understand that the queen's movement speed is steady and consistent on purpose, but just because of how many times I killed the hero at the entrance to the room and then had to walk back to the throne, or killed them with the dash attack and had to walk back to burn them and then walk back AGAIN to the throne... I kind of wish she could hurry it up just a little lol.
I'm so trained by the average game that a few times I started focusing on the Hero as the one I thought I was controlling and getting confused why the attacks and movement didn't match up with their actions...
Also I love them ^
You are the Dark Queen—the most powerful being of your entire universe. Your lair is breached by an aspiring hero—a pitiful thing, easily crushed.
Except they keep coming back.

Lol I was recording this whole cave scene with the game sound off and my playlist playing, and I thought the timing of the song for this segment was funny, so I clipped it separately.

I've loved Green since I was a little kid and first read the manga that showed how Red and Green used to be best friends, and eventually started traveling together again. ;_; The most satisfying moment for me in Sun/Moon was encountering them again, still traveling together after all this time.
That said, I also really love stories told from the antagonists' perspectives, so Rocket Edition is such a treat. I started it once before, but life happened and I never finished it, so I'm going through it again. I'd forgotten about this encounter, and it made me so sad all over again!
(game mechanics spoilers under the cut for my own reference)
(*Evolutions introduced in Generation IV and Sylveon are not in-game.)

Yeah, I fell into this game hard.
LOL at the reviews calling it "relaxing"... it was relaxing at first, but now that my island is populated the bunnies are nonstop pestering me for attention 🫣 I wish the game would adjust the settings so bunnies you're maxed out with stop bugging you so much. Yuki and Tiger are SO needy that I rarely get time with the specials that I'm trying to raise my friendship with.
