Papyrus is the oldest son of W.D. Gaster. He suffers from reactive mutism- because of a trauma that happened in his past. It was before Pap joined the guard, Gaster at the time had fallen very ill. Papyrus didn’t have any friends really- despite his efforts- and he mostly kept to himself and tried keeping a positive attitude in the worst of situations; however when his dad got sick he wasn’t able to hold that smile for very long. Gaster was all he had and he didn’t know what to do without his father… so he took a gun and attempted ending his life. Thankfully Gaster caught him in time. The father managed to stop his sons skull from fully shattering but he wasn’t able to get the bullet out so its still in Paps skull (Pappy often shakes his head hard so it rattles to make children laugh).

Soon after this even Papyrus became mute due to the inability to cope- and even though the trauma is over now he seems to have forgotten o use his voice.

In reply to Papyrus attempt at his own life, Gaster soon after brought Sans into the world. This way Papyrus would have someone to protect and care for is Gaster didn’t survive his illness. Then to protect his brother and other youth from the harsh reality from the underground Papyrus took on the role of watcher for the royal guard, and even after its collapse he didn’t stop his job. He as a monster, is determined to keep the children from being infected by the depression plaguing the air underground.

Over all TT Papyrus is a muted version of UT Papyrus- ey? ey? Get it? Ahaha- he doesn’t like puns, loves anything with tomato sauce (though hes never had it in this AU, not until reaching the surface), and enjoys action figures, anime, etc. He still yearns for friends but is more responsible. Knowing he should put others before himself, and enjoys his hobbies in his spare time.

Heyo- KP here.

I just wanted to let you all know that I realized the art I’ve been using for this au is quite lively- so I’ve decided to change some designs and such. It’s nothing big- and nothing drastic.

I felt as though people weren’t getting the idea of how the underground appears- it isn’t bright or happy...

I might fix the intro and the other pages to fit this style eventually but as of right now they will stay the same and me and LE will continue updating every Sunday!
