TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
Teachers are great influencers of the future generation. We never knew where our influence stops. We should always think through our actions as we donβt know how small or big our impact is on our students.
TEACHING APPROACH
A collaborative teaching approach would be advantageous in teaching since we have a diverse set of learners. I want to let the students fully engage in a group discussion with their classmates to learn different things through their interaction.
WHY TEACHING?
Through the years of studying, I have looked up to the teachers I had. The teachers I had always looked after us whenever we were having a hard time through the lesson. These may seem to be just them doing their job, but it made an impact on me.Β Some may say that their teachers don't care about things aside from teaching the subject, but I can't relate to that. My teachers would ask about our well-being, supports us in a way they can, make sure that everyone understood the topic and that no one is left behind. Being an educator doesn't just end at teaching the subjects. They teach students life skills and values. These simple things made me realize that having someone to guide and support you would make a huge difference in how you view your life. I decided to be an educator for the reason that I want to be that "someone" for the future generation. Imagine the positive change it would make if we have that someone in our lives.

DOMAIN 1
Being a teacher doesn't just mean that you have a mastery of the content alone. One characteristic of a good teacher is a good communicator. They should be able to convey the message well for the students to understand a certain topic. This is why you also have to have strategies on how to easily relay the lessons in a way that the students will understand it. This is why whenever I have a chance, I explore different strategies in teaching as well as study the lessons well to avoid misconceptions. I have to think of a way of how to convey the lessons to them.

There are a lot of things to consider to make sure that a child feels safe in the environment that they are in. This is why I always watch out for the tone of my voice when I speak, I also establish ground rules in a verbal way so that the students are reminded that they are welcome and would feel that our class is a safe space. With this, students can be encourage to study well in an environment that they are welcome.
