Additional notes:

I send WIPs of the sketch until the client is satisfied, and then the final piece, but feel free to ask for more updates!

If there is any delay, I will inform you.

No more than three characters per commission.

I currently won’t be doing any complex backgrounds, only flat colors, simple textures/patterns, or color ranges.

Expected duration can be anywhere from a week to a month, depending on the complexity of each piece, which I’ll discuss with you.

We can discuss your commission through Tumblr DMs, but charges, updates, and the final piece happen through email.

I expect to be payed half up front and the rest later, both through invoices. I’ll send you one invoice upon the commission agreement, and then a second invoice once the piece has been completed!

Prolly early in the coming week, in the next few days. I have some crazy things going on right now, which is slowing my roll a bit. While the chapter is written, I want to make sure what I post is properly edited and I’m not rushing anything.

I hit my classic move of writing too much but having a hard time parsing it down because I live by the ramble. I looooove infodumpy exposition, heavy dialog, drawn-out internal monologues, and all the things you should probably just edit out of your stories.

I’m going to be very transparent here, I run an employee owned costume shop, so I’ll be pretty busy in September and October- I foresee 60 hour work weeks in my future.

The goal is a chapter a week, but as festival season and Halloween approaches, I’ll probably start slowing down. I’m trying to keep a balance and still have whatever I put out actually be *good*

The Moon is a card of illusion- things are not as they appear to be, be it due to deception from outside forces, or lacking honestly with yourself and refusing to accept the truth as it is.

Associated with dreams and the subconscious mind- very often the truths that one seeks can be found within, and requires you to look deeper and use your intuition to see through uncertainty and lies.

Got a comment on Sentimental Things that really tickled me, because it gave me a chance to talk about the absurdity of Steven’s choice to go by “Stephan”

Stee-vin vs Steh-faun. You can hear Steven pronounce this alternative name in the SU:F episode “In Dreams”, where he makes an original character for Camp Pining Hearts.

The context for the alternative name really is: he panicked halfway through saying his real name and said the first thing that came to mind. He has a canon tendency to just use his own name with a slightly different pronunciation as an alias- like using the aforementioned “Stefan” for a self insert, or the time he used Esteban…is still just a Spanish pronunciation of Steven.

He’s a deeply consistent guy when it comes to this specific habit. While it genuinely does nothing to hide his identity, but he commits to the bit anyways.
