Y/N had been running for 3 days. Only stopping when she could find a cave to hid in, barely sleeping in those nights. The smallest noise had her sitting up panicking. She would feel a little safer if she had her daggers, but when she had gone to retrieve them that night, they were gone.
With the faebane still in her system, her daemati abilities were blocked. And apparently, it blocked her ability to feel the bond between Azriel and her as well. So she had no way of reaching out to him. She wondered if he could feel the bond. If he knew what had happened. She missed their meeting the next day, she was sure he was looking for her.
Or… maybe he got there the next day to meet up like they planned and saw her daggers missing. If he couldn’t feel the bond, maybe he thinks she’s dead. No reason to come looking for her if she’s dead.
No. She thought to herself. I can’t think like that.
The only thing she could do was keep moving, and hope that she’s going the right way. She was confident that if she could just make it to the Night Court, she would be safe.
She had managed to make it this long with only one run in with an Autumn Court soldier. Thankfully he was alone. She was able to escape mostly unharmed. She had a decent sized cut on her arm, and one on her cheek. The faebane making it heal a lot slower, but she was okay, so she couldn’t complain too much.
Nightfall was coming, she needed to find shelter. She felt like she was close to the Night Court, but couldn’t risk walking alone at night. She hasn’t seen anywhere she could hide for the night in the last few miles she walked, and from what she could see ahead, it didn’t look like there was anything up there either.
She felt dread as she realized she might be forced to walk through the night. She couldn’t rest right out in the open though, so she kept moving, just hoping to find something along the way.
A couple hours went by, still with no shelter to be seen, and by now it was pitch black out. Periodically she would reach in herself, hoping to feel that bond. The faebane should be wearing off soon, or at least she hoped it would. She was slowing down now through, exhaustion making every step a struggle.
“There she is! Up ahead!” She heard someone yell from behind her. She didn’t take the time to look, she started sprinting, ignoring the intense burning in her legs. She could hear them chasing her, hear them shouting. She was running towards a cluster of trees she saw ahead of her, and she just knew they would catch her. She was too slow. Too weak.
She got to the trees, not slowing down at all, feeling the branches cut her face and arms as she ran through, the branches catching her dress occasionally and ripping small holes in it. Her body was fighting against her, every limb begging her to stop. To rest. But she couldn’t. She should just give up. She wasn’t going to be able to outrun them forever.
She could see a clearing ahead, the light from the moon being the only thing that made it visible. She skidded to a stop though, when she could see someone standing there. The soldiers behind her, and now this person in front of her.. she was caught. It didn’t matter if she gave up or not, it was over.
Except.. she squinted, trying to see better. Wings.
This person ahead of her had wings. Was it Azriel? She charged toward the person. It might not be Azriel, but they’re definitely not an Autumn Court soldier. She could feel her heart pounding as she got closer, only now it was pounding out of anticipation, not fear.
“Azriel!” She shouted as she pushed past the last tree and entered the clearing. She stopped when she realized it was in fact, not Azriel. The winged man turned around, his eyes widened when he saw her and the state she was in. Her dress was torn in many places, covered in dirt and old blood. Her face and arms had small fresh cuts all over, and the big cut on her cheek from her run in with a soldier was started to bleed again. She was panting, completely out of breath, and seemed terrified. “Where am I?” She asked through her frantic breaths.
He put his hands up to try to show he wasn’t a threat as he moved slowly towards her. “The Night Court.” He said.
She felt her shoulders relax. “I made it.” She said softly, before her body gave up, and she collapsed into unconsciousness.
~~~~~~~~~~
When she awoke, she was laying in a bed she didn’t recognize. She still felt weak. She wasn’t sure how long she had been unconscious, it could have been days for all she knew, but all she wanted was to close her eyes again. She could hear voices outside the room she was in, it sounded like they were arguing but she couldn’t piece together what they were saying.
Her eyelids were getting too heavy to hold open. She would let herself drift to sleep again, and then figure out where she was after. She was too tired to climb out of bed right now. Right before sleep overcame her though, she heard a door open somewhere else in the house, and a voice she recognized shouting, “Where is she?!” And then everything went black again.
~~~~~~~~~
This time, when she opened her eyes, she felt a little more like herself. She sat up in the unfamiliar bed, and glanced around the room. It was empty, but there were signs other people have been in the room. There was a chair pulled up close to the bed that she was certain it wasn’t there before, and a glass of water by the bed.
She wanted to get up, to find out where she was exactly. But before she did, she yet again searched inside for that bond… and she felt it. The faebane had finally wore off. Immediately upon feeling it, she pulled on the bond, hard.
Moments later, the door to the room swings open, and her breath catches as her eyes land on Azriel. He looked like he hadn’t slept in days, and his hair was a mess, but she still couldn’t believe how good he looked. As soon as she met his eyes, the weight of everything that had happened hit her. That, and the relief of finally seeing him, had her unable to stop the tears from spilling out.
He rushes to her, sitting on the edge of the bed and pulls her into him. She wraps her arms around him, burying her face into the crook of his neck. He had one arm wrapped around her back, and the other brushing through her hair in a calming motion.
“It’s okay,” he says quietly, “You’re safe now.”
Once she got herself to calm down, she pulled away slightly. “I’m out of the Autumn Court,” she says through sniffles, “you can say it now.”
He smiles and brings his hand around to cup her cheek. He leans in, stopping just before their lips touch. “You’re my mate.” He says, and leans in the rest of the way.

After taking the time to process what he just realized, Azriel remembered the way this conversation started.
“How did you find out who I was?” He asks, his voice soft and low, not wanting to change this moment too much.
“From Eris.” She says, not looking away from him.
“You told him I’ve been here?”
“No, of course not.” She says, raising her hand to rest on his arm. He glances at her hand placement, trying to hide the way his heart is doing flips at the contact.
“Then, how did you get him to tell you?” He asks.
“He didn’t exactly tell me, I kind of just, took the information from him.” She answers, giving a small shrug at the end.
“What do you mean you…took it?” He asks slowly. She sighs, dropping the hand from his arm. He instinctively reaches forward and grabs onto her hand, not wanting to lose her touch, and he doesn’t miss the slight pink that rose on her cheeks.
“I’m a daemati. It’s why Beron wants me to marry Eris. Apparently I’m a very valuable asset to him.” She says, rolling her eyes at the end.
Azriel pushes away the flash of anger he feels at the thought of someone wanting to marry her just because she was “valuable.” He had suspected that it wasn’t simply because Eris had fallen in love, but to hear her confirm the real reason for the marriage made his anger rise. He chooses to focus on the first thing she said instead.
“And that’s how you knew I was here that first day?” She nods, and they fall silent again. Gazing into each other’s eyes, letting themselves feel the bond between them. After a few moments, he steps closer, their bodies almost touching now. “I really want to kiss you.” He whispers.
“We shouldn’t.” She says, but makes no move to step back.
“Come to the Night Court with me.” Azriel says as he lifts his hand to cup her cheek, the other still holding hers.
“They’ll come after me.”
“They won’t succeed.”
She thinks for a minute, thinks about how nice it could be to go with him. To be able to talk to him without worrying about someone seeing. To be able to kiss him. To be able to say the word out loud. Mate. Leaving the Autumn Court was her plan, yes. But she didn’t plan on staying in Prythian at all. Staying in Prythian and just going to a different court felt more dangerous. But, that was before she met Azriel. Before she felt that bond. She would have been gone by now had that day not happened, but she stayed. Because she had to see him again. And truly she knows that the risk of staying, and being dragged back to Eris, was worth it. Even if she only got a few days to be free with Azriel.
“Okay.” She says, resting her free hand on his shoulder. “Tomorrow, though.”
He smiles, and she swears she forgot how to breath for a moment. “Tomorrow.” He repeats, and slowly leans down, giving her time to pull away or to tell him no, but she doesn’t. The moment their lips connect, he feels the bond magnified. And when she opens her mouth slightly, allowing his tongue to enter, she let out a small moan. It was like something unleashed inside both of them, the two of them pulling on each other, trying to get impossibly closer. Without breaking their kiss, he walks her backwards, until her back is against one of the trees, and lifts her up. She wraps her legs around his waist, and brings her hands up to his hair.
“Wait.” She says, suddenly breaking the kiss, both of them panting, the smell of their arousal filling the air around them. “We can’t do this yet.” He slowly releases her, as she puts her feet back on the ground. She leans her head against his chest. “I won’t be able to get out of here if they smell you on me when I walk in the door tonight.”
He knows she’s right. And he wishes he could sweep her away right now to the Night Court, but she said tomorrow. Not today. So he would wait.
“I know. I’m sorry.” He says.
“No,” she says fiercely, lifting her head to look at him. “Don’t apologize. I didn’t want to stop it. I need to get back though. I’ve been gone too long.”
He nods, stepping back from her. “I’ll meet you here tomorrow. Same time as today. I’ll get you out of here.”
They say their goodbyes, and he watches her walk out of the forest before disappearing into his shadows.
Later that night, Y/N heads down to dinner. It’s a bigger struggle than she expected to act normal. To act like she loves Eris, and that she’s excited to marry him, now that Azriel knows what they are. Now that she’s felt his lips on hers. She was worried about sitting through another family meal with them, but luckily, or rather unluckily, she wouldn’t have too.
Eris was waiting for her at the bottom of the stairs. He seemed angry, but that was pretty normal after he spent a day with his father.
“Hello, Eris.” She said with a big fake smile.
“I really love you, you know.” He says. Okay, she thinks, not the greeting I was expecting.
“Yes, Eris, I know.” She rests a hand on his arm.
“That’s the only reason I’m giving you a warning.”
“A… warning?” What?
“One of the guards saw you with the shadow singer today.”
Her blood ran cold. She knew she was too distracted with him today to be doing her normal searching for other nearby people with her mind. It was something she normally did every time she was in the woods to make sure she wasn’t caught. But Azriel feeling the bond, and him kissing her, made her forget to do that. She didn’t know what to do. Deny it? She couldn’t. She was already caught. Best to own up to it.
“What are you warning me about then?” She asks, hoping her voice sounds more confident than she feels.
“Leave. Run. Whatever. My father wants you dead. Says you can’t be trusted. He’s worried you’re going to tell the Night Court all of our secrets. I’m giving you a head start.”
He’s… letting me go? She thinks to herself.
“So, I can just go out the door, and leave?” She asks, still skeptical.
“Yes. I can’t say how much of a head start this is, I have no idea when he’s going to send for you.”
She nods. She feels like she should say something more, but she doesn’t. She just heads for the door. Right as her hand touched the handle though, he had more to say.
“I am angry though.” He says, causing her to freeze. “You betrayed me. So yes, I’m giving you the head start because I loved you. But I do have to have my own justice.” As she turns to face him, to ask him what he means, she’s suddenly breathing in, and coughing on, a powder that we blown into her face. She instantly knows what it is, and instantly realizes that escaping is going to be harder than expected. It was faebane.

Azriel had tried asking her about her confession more, but she refused to say anything else. She had quickly dismissed herself back towards the house, and after making sure she got there safely, hidden of course, he went back to the Night Court.
Laying in bed that night, he couldn’t shut off his mind, which kept drifting back to Y/n. He couldn’t help but worry about her once he heard that she didn’t plan to go through with the wedding, knowing it wouldn’t be as simple as saying she didn’t want too. No, in reality, there was a very good chance she would have to fight her way out of the Autumn Court, and even if she did make it to another court, it didn’t guarantee her safety. He thought of their mini training session earlier in the day. She was good, but not good enough to make it out of there in one piece. She needed more training if she wanted to even stand a chance.
As he finally drifted off to sleep, he had a partial plan. Once he woke in the morning, he ate his breakfast as quickly as he could, before heading back to the Autumn Court, hoping she would end up in that area of the woods again.
He went to the spot he trained her the day before and waited, covered by his shadows. After what felt like all day, but in reality was only an hour, without her appearing, he was about to move towards the edge of the woods to see if he could get eyes on her. Before he could, he heard leaves crunching and someone making their way through the woods, finally seeing her emerge into the clearing. Once she’s fully in the clearing, he sees her smile while continuing to walk.
“I wondered if you’d come back.” She says. He steps out of his shadows, walking towards her.
“How do you do that?” He asks her once he reaches her.
“Do what?”
“Always know that I’m there.”
She sits on her knees in front of the tree she uses to hide her weapons, turning her head slightly towards him, smirking. “I have my ways.” She says. She pulls the weapons out, standing up. She looks at him like she can tell he’s trying to figure out what her ways are. “Or, maybe I just take the risk of looking like an idiot talking to myself.” She adds with a shrug, her smirk growing a bit.
He rolls his eyes in return, deciding not to push the subject. “I figured you could use more training, if you don’t mind me helping.”
“I would appreciate that.” She says, the smirk gone, replaced with a look of gratitude. And so they go back into routine from the day before. Him slowly showing her different maneuvers and attacks, then walking her through it as she attempted to repeat them. He would gently correct her when she made an wrong move, and again he was amazed by how quickly she learned the attacks he was showing her.
This time, they trained for longer. Several hours went by before she finally had to lay on the floor of the woods. She was exhausted, covered in sweat, and trying to steady her breathing. Azriel sat next to where she was laying, also feeling effects from their intense training, although not as severe as Y/N was.
“How are you not as dead as me right now.” She asks between her panting.
He gives a slight chuckle, leaning back so he’s resting on his elbow. “I’ve been doing this for a very long time. Gets easier the more you do it.”
She looks up at him, “will you be here tomorrow again?”
“Would you like me to be?” She nods in return. “Then I’ll be here.” He says, a soft smile forming. She returns the smile, then moves to get up, preparing to head back to her life of pretending.
For the next week, they keep up their routine. He meets her in their spot, trains her for an hour or two, and afterwards as she lays down in exhaustion, they slowly start to learn a little more about each other. He was careful to never say too much about himself, trying to keep the conversation on her more. He wasn’t ready to let her know which court he came from, or why he was there that first day they met.
It was a week and a half after he agreed to come back that things changed. He could tell something was different before he even saw her, the steps she was taking were louder, angrier. As she stepped into the clearing, she glared at him, stopping farther away than usual.
“Y/N? Is everything okay?” He asked, starting to walk towards her, but she put her hand out- a silent demand for him to stay where he was.
“Why are you here?” She asked, her voice harsh.
“Um.. To train more? Unless you didn’t want too anymore.” He answered, trying to keep his breathing steady. He wasn’t sure why it bothered him so much to have her seemingly upset towards him, but he didn’t like it.
“No. Why are you here, in the Autumn Court? Before we started training, why were you here, Spy Master?”
He struggled to keep his face neutral, but he felt his heart pounding in his chest. “How did you-“
“No- I’m asking the questions, not you.” She demanded.
He sighed. “To make sure you were safe.”
Her features softened at his words, but barely. “What do you mean?”
“We heard Eris was getting married. He… he doesn’t have the best track record for keeping the women he’s supposed to marry safe. We wanted to find out who you were, and if you were safe.” He explained, hoping she wouldn’t ask too many more questions.
“And if my information was correct, you’re from the Night Court?” He nods as a response. She sighs, finally walking closer to him. “Why didn’t you just tell me all this?”
“I wasn’t sure if I could trust you, I can’t have Eris or Beron finding out I’m here.” He says softly once she’s standing right in front of him. She looks up, finally meeting his eyes.
“You can trust me, Azriel” He nods, understanding now that she has more to lose if Eris or Baron found out she was meeting him for lessons.
When he looks into her eyes again, that’s when he sees it. The little thread. The tread he wasn’t sure he would ever see, yet there it is. His pulse quickens again as his eyes widen. “You’re my-“ She slams her hand over his mouth, stopping him from saying the words.
Keeping her hand there, she quickly says, “Don’t say it. Not yet. Not until I’m out of here. Okay?” He nods, but she can feel him smiling against her hand. Pulling her hand away slowly, she can’t help the smile that forms on her own lips, knowing he finally knows what she’s known since their first meeting, the reason for her putting so much trust in him immediately.
Now he knows why she’s fighting even harder than before to get away from the Autumn Court.

Promised To Another
This is part 2 to my Azriel x Reader series!
You can read part 1, here!
(Unedited, sorry for any mistakes)
________________________________________________________________
Azriel sighed before he stepped out of his shadows, wondering how she knew he was there in the first place. He didn’t say anything, wasn’t sure what to say. He hadn’t expected a conversation with the girl today.
“Did Beron send you to watch me?” She asked, the look on her face showing both annoyance and fear.
“I do not answer to Beron.” he answered softly, trying to show to her that he was not a threat.
“Who do you answer to, then?” The fear slightly leaving her face upon hearing he was not sent by Baron.
“I answer to my high lord.” He answers vaguely, not wanting to completely blow his cover.
She moves a little closer to him, a smirk playing at her lips. “And that is?”
“Not Baron.” He says, his shadows swirling around his shoulders. She laughs at this, fully relaxing.
“Okay, I see this is getting no where,” She moves to lean on the tree closest to him. “I’m assuming you won’t tell me your name, either?” Silence. “Okay then. And the deal with the shadows?” She asks, watching as some of them slither closer to her.
More silence.
He watched as she pushed herself off the tree, clearly getting annoyed. “Will you say something?” He thinks for a moment, trying to find something to say to her that won’t give away why he’s truly there.
“Who trained you to use those?” He questions, nodding his head towards the daggers still in her hands.
She glances at them, then back up to him, her eyebrows pushed together in confusion. “I taught myself. Why?”
“You made a few mistakes. I would get someone to actually train you.”
She looks down, rotating one of the daggers in her hands. “I can’t.” She says softly. “What mistakes?”
He takes a slow step towards her, “I could show you, if you’d like.”
She slowly lifts her eyes to meet his, and he can see in them that shes debating on if she trusts him to show her or not. After a few seconds pass, she takes a sudden, but very slight, intake of breath, and slowly nods. She silently hands the daggers over to him, and he gives her a small reassuring smile.
He steps away from her to have room, and goes into repeating her motions from before, slowing down when he reaches a part she had gotten wrong, and explaining the difference between the movements she did, and the correct movements. After he finished, he walked up to her, handing her blades back to her. “You wanna give it a go?” He asks her. She nods, taking them.
They spend the next hour going through the moves together, him gently correcting her when she tries to revert to how she was doing it before. He can’t pretend that he isn’t impressed by how quickly she’s getting the hang of it though, and after that hour was done she was making virtually no mistakes. After they were done, they sit on the ground together. Both of them sweating and panting.
“By the way,” she says through her heavy breathing, “my names Y/N. I know you didn’t ask, but now you know.”
“Azriel.” He says, not looking at her.
She smiles softly, “So, Azriel. Why did you help me with these today?” She asked, gesturing to the daggers.
He shrugs. “I think everyone should know how to fight in case you ever need to defend yourself.” She nods in agreement, and silence falls between them again before he asks, “Why were you practicing in secret way out in the woods?”
“I might need them soon.” She replies, her eyes going distant.
“Why’s that?” He pries a little bit, wondering how much she’ll tell him.
For a couple minutes, she doesn’t say anything. He begins to wonder if he should leave, until she finally says quietly,
“Because I’m not marrying him.”

Azriel x Reader
Just a little intro to a series I’m starting for Azriel! It’s my first time writing for him (or anyone in ACOTAR for that fact) so please let me know what you think so far and if you’re interested in more of this story? (also my grammar sucks sometimes, so sorry in advance)
_______________________________________________________________
As much as Azriel hated going to the Autumn Court, he understood Rhysands concerns, and he would be lying if he said he didn’t have a dreadful feeling at the news they received yesterday. It appears that Baron had arranged for Eris to get married. It’s not that they really cared if he got married, but given everything in the past, they just wanted to ensure that his new soon to be wife was safe, and not subject to any of the torture they knew she could face at the hands of anyone in that family. So, Rhys had asked Azriel to peek in every now and then, just to check on her. (And to see who she was, knowing to well the type of alliances Baron tended to form.)
He had been watching for a couple days now, and from what he could see, she seemed happy. Seemed almost in love with the High Lords son. She wasn’t anyone he recognized, and there hasn’t been any talk of where shes come from. Other than the fact she seemed safe, he didn’t have much to report to Rhys. He supposed he should stop hanging around once he felt confident she wasn’t in danger, but he kept coming back each day. Something about this day, though, felt different. He felt very uneasy at the thought of not returning. It wasn’t curiosity on who she was bringing him back today, it was something more, he just wasn’t sure why he felt like he truly needed to be there today.
He stood on the edge of the woods, hidden from view by his shadows, watching her and Eris talk in the field ahead of him. Eris was trying to get her to come back to the house, but she insisted he go without her, saying that if she was going to be living here, she wanted to explore a little bit by herself. Azriel watched as she walked backwards towards the woods as Eris stayed where he was. The girl made a promise to not be late to dinner while giggling and giving him a short wave, and Eris finally turned and walked to the house. It was when she turned around to face the woods that Azriel realized why he needed to come today. As she turned, her face went from smiling wide, looking as in love as ever, to cold and furious as she thought no one was looking. She had a look of pure determination on her face as she walked through the woods, Azriel following her silently. Being this close to her, he could tell there was something...different about her.
He stayed a few feet back, still hidden by shadows, as she knelt in front of a tree in the middle of the woods. She seemed to be digging for something, and eventually pulled a box out of the ground. He silently went a little closer, curiosity getting the best of him to see what was in this box. That curiosity only grew when he saw what she pulled out of it: 2 daggers. Beautiful ones, in his opinion. She stood from the ground, and he watched in amazement as she started practicing with them. She made several mistakes that he had to stop himself from blowing his cover to correct, but even with the mistakes, she clearly knew a lot.
She practiced for about twenty minutes, fighting off the imaginary threats before she went and leaned against a tree to catch her breath.
“So,” she said into the quiet air, “are you going to just keep hiding, or would you like to introduce yourself?” She finishes the question right as she looks directly at where he’s standing.
Shit.

Hey! Can you maybe do a jj x reader were she’s diabetic and they are getting ready for bad and she asks him to give her long term insoline shot(she needs to take it on her 🍑 cheek) and he distracts her so she won’t feel it and after when they’re laying in bad she’s like “u know that’s very sweet but im used to it” and he’s like “ik but I don’t want you to be in pain”
Here you go! I hope you like it ❤️ sorry for how long it took!
And sorry I’ve been completely MIA for so long! I haven’t written anything in what feels like forever. Life got… rough for a bit, but I’m starting to feel more like myself so hopefully I’ll be writing more often now! I have a couple ideas for little series to write and some requests to get though, but I’m so glad to be back!
————————————————————————
It had been a perfect day spent with your boyfriend, JJ. It had been a long time since you two had been able to have a day where you guys could just relax together, just the two of you, considering all the drama thats surrounded your friend group recently. You had, admittedly, spent most of the day tangled up in the sheets of his bed, leaving only to go get food in town. You were aware that to most people, it may seem like a boring, wasted day. For you and JJ though, it was truly perfect. There was one problem, though.
It was getting late.
You groaned as you curled yourself against him more. “I should probably start driving home soon.”
“No.” He says as he tightens his grip on you.
“J, I have work in the morning.” You say while trying to hold back a giggle.
“Just stay,” he nuzzles his face into your neck, placing a soft kiss against your skin, “you have extra clothes here for work, so just stay with me.”
You considered letting him keep trying to convince you, but honestly, you were so tired, and so content laying there with him. So, instead, you just nodded and a yawn escapes.
“Okay, I’ll stay,” you say, smiling as a satisfied hum comes from him, “but you have to help me with my insulin shot before we can go to sleep.”
He drags himself to a sitting up position, nodding as he says “Okay, get up.”
You move off the bed, going to get the syringe ready for him. “You aren’t nervous about stabbing me?”
“Y/N, I’ve seen like, 3 episodes of Greys Anatomy. I’m more than qualified for this. I could give you open heart surgery if needed.”
“Yes, of course you could, J.” You say through a giggle, making your way back to him and handing him the syringe. You explained to him what to do, despite his obviously extensive knowledge on everything medical related from those 3 episodes, and lower your shorts for him as you turn around.
“Did I ever tell you about the time I broke my arm?” He randomly asks you as he begins cleaning the area with the alcohol wipe you gave him.
“Uhm, no? I don’t believe you did.”
“It was when I was 10. I had told John B that I could jump from my roof to the tree next to it, and he said there was no way I could. Naturally, I had to prove him wrong.” He tosses the wipe into the garbage next to the bed and picks the syringe up.
“Naturally.” You repeat, rolling your eyes, though letting a small laugh come out. “Guessing you didn’t make it?”
“Oh no, I made it. The issue was staying on the tree once I did.” You feel the needle go in, but he keeps talking. “I managed to grab a branch on the way down, but not for long. Hit the ground.” He pushed the plunger down, sending the liquid into your skin. “John B was freaking out. Of course I kept saying I was fine, even though I was crying and my arm was very clearly broke.” He takes the needle out, and places a small bandaid on the area, and then places a small kiss on top of it before pulling your shorts back up.
You turn to face him. “Well, I’m glad nothing worse happened.” You softly kiss his lips before climbing back into bed, him following right behind you, pulling you right into his arms. “You know, you don’t have to try to distract me when giving the shot. I have to do it every day, I’m more than used to it.”
He sighs, placing a kiss on your head. “I know, babe. But used to it or not, shots hurt. And I don’t want you to be in pain.”
“You’re amazing, J.” You say, snuggling up closer to him. Another yawn escapes you, and he leans over to turn off the lamp.
“Yeah, yeah, okay. Go to sleep, y/n.”
“Love you.” You say through yet another yawn.
“Love you too.”

I’d like to request an imagine that takes place in an alternate universe where there’s no rule that says “no Pogue on Pogue macking”, the female reader is a Pogue and has been dating JJ since the show began, and during season 1, the Pogues go to a party and JJ encourages Pope to date Kiara. Pope and Kiara aren’t a couple yet, but there’s definitely a spark. The reader is a ray of sunshine and head over heels for JJ, and he’s head over heels for her.
Warnings: mentions of drinking and drugs
A/N: I hope this is what you were wanting, and that you love this as much as I do! 🥺
Requests are Open!
(also I'm sorry for no tag list on this! I'm not on my laptop so I don't have the list right now 🥺)
-------------------------------------------------
JJ never planned on falling in love. In fact, he avoided it like the plague. That was, of course, until he met Y/f/n Y/l/n. He was completely captivated by you the second he met you. And even though he'd deny it now, you were the only girl to ever make him too nervous to even try to flirt. In fact, he had been so nervous around you that the weeks leading up to him finally asking you on a date, you were convinced he hated you with how little he spoke to you.
Of course, he wanted to talk to you all the time, but back then every time he went to start a conversation, the words would get caught in his throat once he looked into your y/e/c eyes. He had wanted to ask you out that very first day, but it would take 3 weeks before he found the courage.
"Hey, y/n?" He said to you one day. The other pogues had gone inside, leaving you two alone outside.
"What's up, JJ?" You asked, smiling at him. That smile was almost enough to cause him to back out completely, but he forced himself to continue.
"I.. uh. I was just wondering, if maybe you'd want to maybe go on a date, sometime? Like, with me?"
Your eyes widened with shock. "You wanna go on a date with me?"
"um.. yeah." He says, your reaction making him want to run away, because of course he assumed your surprised expression was because you hated the idea.
"But... Don't you like, hate me?" You asked.
Now it was his turn to be shocked. "What? No! I- why would you think I hated you?"
You shrugged, "You never really talk to me, and it seems like you avoid being left alone with me."
He shakes his head. "No. I don't hate you. I just.. I think you're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen before, and you make me nervous."
You smiled sweetly at him then. "Okay. I'll go on a date with you."
That was a year and a half ago, and he's just as much, if not more, captivated by everything you do. Only difference is now, he can call you his girlfriend, and he has his normal confidence back around you. The truth is, he's amazed by everything you do. Your ability to stay positive no matter what, that you're always willing to help someone in need, even if you generally dislike the person.
Currently, all of the pogues we're at a party at someone from schools house, distracting themselves from all the problems in their lives with copious amounts of alcohol and weed. You were off to the side talking to Kie, John B and Sarah had walked off awhile ago to God knows where. Which left JJ and Pope, sitting on the couch talking. Pope was in the middle of explaining the confusing signals he's been getting from Kie, and JJ was trying his best to help his friend.
"I just don't know what to think about it all." Pope says as he finishes talking.
"Man, you gotta just be straight forward with her. Just go up and ask her out, or ask her what's happening. But no one but her can tell you what's happening in her head." JJ says as he lights his joint, offering it to Pope who denies it as usual.
"I can't do that. I'm not like you, I can't just walk up and ask a girl I'm crazy about out. It's not easy for me like it is for you."
"You think it was easy for me? Dude, I thought I was going to puke the second the words came out. And I barely got them out." He says, chuckling.
"Wait, really? You?" Pope questions, leaning forward more to look at JJ better.
"Yeah, really. But I asked. And look at us now. I'm just saying, even if she says no, at least then you'd know."
"Yeah, you're right." Pope says with a sigh. JJ looks over at you to check on you, and is happy to see you walking towards him, Kie in tow.
"I am right, and what's a better time than now?" He stands up, grabbing your hand once you get close enough. "Let's go outside babe, Pope needs to ask Kie something." He says, pulling you outside, ignoring both the confused look on Kies face and the daggers Pope is sending him for rushing him.
"So what does he need to ask her?" You ask him once you're outside.
"Oh, I don't know. I just wanted to get you alone." He lies with a smirk, pulling you close to him.
"Mhm, sure." You say sarcastically, but wrap your arms around him, leaning your head against his chest as he kisses the top of your head. As you two stood there, holding each other, he can't help but think back to when he would hear people say someone was their whole world, and how back then that statement would make no sense to him. But as he hears you sigh in happiness against him, he understands. Only, to him.. you weren't just his whole world. You were his entire universe, his love for you stretching beyond measure, and he knew that you loved him just as much. He would do absolutely anything for you, and you for him.
He looks towards the house where he knows Pope is struggling through an awkward conversation, just like the one he had with you all that time ago. And he hopes hes right about his suspicion that Kie is just as into Pope as he is into her. He hopes they get to experience what he has with you, although he knows that this kind of love is one of a kind. That no matter how much anyone else tries, they'll never have what you two have together.

Okay I was wondering if you could please do a dad!rafe where the reader has to go on zoom for high school and rafe and the readers baby starts crying so rafe goes to pick up the baby but the baby keeps crying and only wants the reader but she’s busy on a zoom call and rafe finds out the baby is hungry. Also can they be teen parents and the baby is 3 months or something and you can make up the rest.
Warnings: teen pregnancy/teen parents
A/N: dad!Rafe makes my heart melt 🥺 also; I know this has been sitting in my inbox for a bit. I'm spending the next couple days working through the requests I have!
______________________________________
You had planned your entire life out by time you were 14. You knew what university you wanted to go to, what you were going to major in, and even what company you wanted to work at after. One thing you didn't plan on, was Rafe Cameron. And you definitely didn't plan on having his baby at the beginning of senior year. You were scared that being a teen mom was going to throw all the work you've put into your GPA out the window, but luckily you had the option to take your classes through Zoom this year, which has helped. Plus, Rafe was beyond helpful.
When you had first found out you were pregnant, you were terrified to tell Rafe. Thought he would freak out and want nothing to do with you or the little one. He surprised you though, being actually excited about it. Sure, he was scared at the thought of being a dad, but he tried his best to never let that fear show.
Your little girl, Olivia, is 3 months old now. Currently, she was asleep in her room while you were in the middle of your zoom class. You had the baby monitor set up next to your laptop, since Rafe was busy with work stuff, having graduated a year before you. A little over halfway into your class though, you notice Olive starting to wake up on the video monitor. You watch her for a second, seeing if she falls back asleep, but the crying you start hearing assures you she's up. Sighing, you move to unmute your mic to excuse yourself from the rest of class, but before you do you see Rafe enter on the monitor.
"Shhh baby." You hear him say as he lifts her from the crib. You start trying to focus on your class again, but also watching them on the monitor. You watch as he paces the room bouncing her, trying various things to make her happy, to no avail. "Baby girl, I know you want momma, but she's busy, so you gotta deal with daddy for a little bit, okay?"
You try not to giggle at him trying to reason with a 3 month old, but you do find it adorable that he tries too.
"Liv, sweetheart.. you're making me feel a bit rejected here." He says, still bouncing her. He turns and looks at the camera, and gives it a look like he knows you're watching. "Babe, if you're listening, I think she's hungry, and I lack the ability to lactate."
You turn your attention back to your teacher talking, and see that she's wrapping up the class. Holding your phone where the camera on your laptop won't show it, you send a quick message to Rafe.
Me: 5 minutes. I'm sorry :(
You try to listen as your teacher tells you and your class the assignment for tonight, but you know you're going to have to get a recap of the whole second half of this class from your friend.
"5 minutes baby, it'll be okay. You can handle boring ol dad for 5 minutes, right?"
You continue trying to watch your teacher and Rafe at the same time for the next few minutes. Once the class is finally finished, you log off, and rush to Olivia's room.
"Oh thank God, she hates me, y/n." Rafe says as soon as he sees you enter the room.
"She doesn't hate you, Rafe." You say as you take Olivia from him. You take her and sit on the rocking chair in the room, and begin feeding her. "You just can't do this," gesturing to her nursing. "Trust me, when she gets a little older, she's gonna be a total daddy's girl."
"Yeah? You think so?"
"I know so. Thank you for trying today, I know you were probably busy."
"Not really. Your education is more important."
You look down at your daughter who is drifting back to sleep, then smile back up at Rafe. "I love you."
He leans down and kisses you, then kisses the top of Olivia's head. "I love you both, more than anything."

______________________________________
“I’m guessing it went well?” Rafe asks as I jump into his truck with a big smile.
“Well he’s not exactly thrilled, but he’s not gonna try to stop us.” I say, pulling him close so I can kiss him. He places his hands on either side of my face, deepening this kiss. When I feel the butterflies in my stomach I get with every kiss, I can’t help but think back to that first night at the bonfire when he invited me to his house for the first time. I think about every thing that happened to get us to here, kissing in his truck, no longer scared of being seen. I realize now that even though it hasn’t been a super long time, that I love him.
He breaks the kiss and buries his face in my neck, wrapping his arms around me. We stay like this for several minutes, just holding each other in his truck. Eventually he pulls away and puts puts the truck into drive.
“You ready?” He asks, smiling at me.
“Ready for what?”
“Our first actual date.” He says as he begins driving.
“Rafe, I am not dressed for a date.” I say, gesturing down to my tank top and shorts.
He grabs my hand as he’s driving. “I don’t care. I finally get to show you off, I’m going to do it.”
I sigh, leaning back into the seat. Of course I’m excited to actually go out somewhere together, not having to hide in the shadows anymore. I can’t help but feel nervous though. Out in public, eyes on us.. it’s nerve wracking. He finally pulls into a parking lot of the small diner in town.
“Somewhere casual, so you can stop worrying about your outfit, okay?” He says after he parks. He brings my hand to his lips and gives it a small kiss. “You ready?”
I’m still nervous, but I give him a smile and nod at him. Guess we’re ripping off the bandaid of letting everyone know.
Once we get inside and sat at a table, I start feeling more relaxed. We're actually having a good time, and I feel all the nerves melting away, and let the excitement take over. I’m on my first real date with my boyfriend.
It's a little strange to think about the fact I don't have to be paranoid about who's seeing us. When he reaches across the table to take ahold of my hand, it's okay if we're noticed. I'm sure we're going to have to deal with comments and rude remarks from some people as the rest of our friends find out, but the only person who's opinion really matters enough to change anything already knows, and has given the green light.
After we finish our meals and are heading back to the truck, Rafe grabs my hand and squeezes it gently. "I promise the next date will be at a fancy, romantic place."
"Rafe, I don't need fancy. As long as you're there, it's perfect." I say while looking up to smile at him.
"Will you stay over tonight?" He asks as we're getting into his truck.
"Of course." I say, leaning to kiss his cheek.
We spend the drive in a comfortable silence. Him focusing on the road, and me scrolling through my phone as a few texts start popping up.
Kie: jj is fucking with us, right?
JB: those camerons, man. amiright?
Pope: as long as your happy, that's all that matters.
Pope: but we'll kill him if needed.
Sarah: proud of you for telling him
Laughing as I read their messages, I lock my phone, deciding to respond later.
"What's so funny?" Rafe asks as he parks in the driveway.
"Just my friends. JJ must have told them about us."
"So a bunch of death threats towards me?" He asks as we are walking inside.
"Only one. And only if needed." I grin as he rolls his eyes.
"Good to know." He says, leading me to his room, even though I know exactly how to get there at this point.
"To be fair, I think they'd made that threat to any guy I dated." I say, earning a look from him. "But they probably mean it more with you than they would with someone else." I add, with a devilish grin.
"Oh yeah?" He says, placing his hands on my waist and backing me against the wall after he closes his bedroom door. I wrap my arms around his neck, my fingers playing with the back of his hair.
"Oh, I'm sure of it." I reply, still grinning at him. "So best not to give them any reason too."
He leans down to me, lips brushing against mine. "Mm, don't plan on it." He mumbles against my lips, before connecting them fully. I arch my back to push myself into him more, while he deepens the kiss. He lifts me up, and I wrap my legs around his waist as he carries me towards his bed.
"Hey Rafe?" I say once we're on the bed, and his lips attach to my neck.
"Do you want me to stop?" He asks against my skin.
"No, it's not that," he lifts his head up, his eyes meeting mine, "you, uh, told me to let you know... I'm ready, Rafe."
His eyes get slightly wider, "Are you sure?" He asks softly.
"Positive."
He sets his hand on the side of my face and leans down to give me a deep kiss.
"If at any point you want to change your mind, just say the word and I'll stop, okay?"
"Okay." I shyly smile at him, and connect our lips again.
****************
The next morning, I wake up still entangled in Rafe's arms. Neither of us are wearing anything, just the blankets draped over our bodies.
I run my fingers gently up and down his arm as I reply last night in my head. He was so gentle and patient the whole night, and made sure the entire experience was perfect. He truly makes me so incredibly happy.
"Morning." I hear him say, and tilt my head up to look at him.
"Good morning." Kissing his cheek as I say this. He tightens his arms around me and pulls me closer to him, digging his face into my neck.
"I love you, y/n." He says, making my insides turn to mush, and making my heart pound.
"I love you, too." I whisper. He pulls his face out of my neck to kiss me.
"I'm going to go use the bathroom," he mumbles before kissing me again. He sighs contently before climbing out of bed. When he reaches the door to the bathroom he turns around. "You should check Instagram, by the way." He closes the door behind him before I can ask why.
I grab my phone and open the app, ignoring a few more texts from my friends. When I see Rafe's post, I feel butterflies erupt in my stomach, and tears prick at my eyes. He has posted a bunch of the pictures we had taken together that we hadn't been able to share. But it's the caption that had me feeling this way, and made everything we'd been through feel worth it. And I can't wait to see how our future goes.
Rafe_Cameron: I love this woman, and I don't care what any of you have to say about it.
