He smiles, his ears flicking forward and back as he adjusts his stance to a more natural posture with the change in height from the other - with his weight leaning onto his right leg, bending to rest his weaker leg against his hoof.
“Are you two out for a walk today? Or fly now I suppose.”
Twilight: hi ray relic

He offers a polite bow, taking a moment to adjust his feathers and mane A moment is taken as he then offers the same bow to Solar.
"Hello. I hope you're both doing well today."
Tay has to crane his neck down a bit to look at them due to the difference in his height, but he's used to it by this point.

Hannah smiled at him softly and nodded, looking at her old cart. She sighed and walked over.
“I suppose I wouldn’t mind a ride… A uh… Comfortable one.. I’ve been struggling with my cart for two hours now and I live about six miles from here…. So…” She sighed, shaking her head slightly.
“Thank you…” She looks up at him, again, in awe. She’d never seen somepony with his height and stature before. She blushed softly.
“Um, and I… I can pay you back for this kindness sir… I make enough in a day to do so…” She looks at the giant cart.
With a boisterous laugh the stallion’s ears flicked forward and back as his eyes creased with the bright friendliness of his smile. It was easy for him to notice the way smaller ponies looked up at him with wide awed eyes, either from the strength of his muscle or the way he overshadowed them, it was something he had come to find as cute.
And the way the heat on her cheeks prickled her coat he found it cuter still.
“A’ight then little lass, Comfortable it’ll be.”
Without so much of a warning the larger horse moved behind her to lean his head down in a quick show of movement - practiced and precise - hooking his horns under her stomach and legs to pull her off the ground and slide down the back of his neck in a quick tumble till the small mare was laid easy on the width of his back and her forehooves curved around his chest.
“There, nice’n warm’n comfy ya?”
Astheny looked back to her with that smile once more, and began to slowly walk along the road - she weighed nothing to him as she laid on his back, but he knew just how to walk to keep her from being jostled around too much.
He spoke up on her offer finally as the easy pace was set.
“N’ don’t worry yer’ pretty little head’bout payin’ me nothing. I don’t got much need for bits’er’coin. I got all I need out at home.” He paused to think, and added with a chuckle. “Tho’suppose I ain’t got much for walkin’ partners so that’ll be your payment then ya?”

               It was always in the middle of the rainy seasons that the crops found themselves to scream ‘pick me! Sell me!’ - a time that a large workhorse such as Astheny found to be little more than more mud and muck beneath his hooves, nothing out of the ordinary, and less so anything to warrant any introspection.
Though, this particular season brought a few new hosts of problems to Acher’s Forest - a few new species of wasps that Frae had to go ask Fluttershy’s help with, a rot beneath the boughs that claimed more than a few of his orchard, to name the most prevalent.
Tumblr media
But none of that mattered while the stallion was on the road, no it was only the sound of the wind, and the good heavy weight of the cart’s tassels around his chest as he pulled it vicariously through the deep trenches of softened soil from the last rainfall.
A horse of his size had little trouble with such a contest of strength, so it was like any leisurely walk from home to deliveries…
Though as he and his load turned the corner, he blinked a few times at the sight of another trough of bags and barrels in the middle of the road, and for a moment looked back to his own before continuing around the corner.
Just from a cursory glance, he could tell that the wheels were busted out of the axel, something that would be hard enough to fix if the bed of the cart wasn’t filled with items.
Tumblr media
Stopping a few feet away to unhook the latch from his harness he called out a greeting before approaching;
“Hey Lass! Yer needin’ help with that ya?”

“Im heading to ponyville…”
She replied sounding a bit more confident, but still soft spoken and sweet. She helped lift what she could, she had made sure the barrels weren’t so full that she herself couldn’t lift them. Though she did still struggle a bit with the thick mud.
She looks at him in awe at the size of the stallion in front of her.
“Wh-what about you sir?”
She used her tail to wipe some of the mud off her rump and then walked back to the cart, grabbing a saddlebag and strapping it to herself.
                           “Same road in the long run’m sure” He pauses to settle a second crate into the back of his cart, shifting it a bit to nestle between two capped barrels of melons before turning back to give her room to put her own load into the back. “I’m just headin through the township of Ponyville, end up on the other side to meet the Apples for a bit of farmer’s trade.”
As he explained he motioned to the four grainery sacks that nestled in the back corner, labels along the burlap giving pictures of tilled soils. Moving to grab the last of her luggage he added; “With bags to them, I sell the rest to the order’n the market.”
Taking a moment he couldn’t help but watch the dedication the young mare had to her work, and with polite amber eyes he looked her over as she cleared her flank and grabbed her saddlebag - though his gaze shifted as he finished loading and made to the front of the cart to once again holster himself to pull.
Nodding back to the raised seat behind him he offered;
“Ye can sit on that, or I can carry ye on me back if you value comfort.” It wasn’t a strange thing for him to say, as it was constant for him to carry Frae when she was tired, as well as any who needed a lift. Astheny himself had perfected scooping up smaller folks with the curve of his horns to slide them down to rest on his back.
Though he wouldn’t do that without permission of course.

[Small Mare; Lost in the Road]
           (Cont...)
“And m-my name is H-Hannah… Its, nice to meet you…”
She looked at her lost product and walked over, picking up what she could and put it back in the boxes and barrels she had.
“Hannah? Well good’tah meet ya.” He nods in the finality of that greeting before turning away to go get his cart, replying to her first question as he reattached the harness with a practiced ease to maneuver around his bulk. “And it ain’t no stress, If I’ve the room to spare I’d be glad to use it - A few more loads of weight ain’t gonna be the most I’ve carried I can promise ya that!”
His tone is loud and jovial as he takes the first few steps into the mirepatch, the soft muck of the road shifting beneath his hooves as he forces the cart through - lightly kicking a lever next to the standing seat to lock the wheels from turning as so they wouldn’t get caught and pulled while trying to turn the axel - the very problem Hannah’s cart had fallen prey too.
Of course in doing this, movement relied wholly on the horse to pull the weight of the load; to which he did with very little strain beyond keeping his footing balanced and nonsticking.
With the time taken to pull his caravan beside her own, Astheny once more undid the harness and paused to watch how she cleaned what she could of the spilled product.
With flicking ears he moved to the back of the cart and began to shoulder a barrel with all the ease of a stallion who moved cargo for a living. Compared to the dense pounds of Granite Pumpkins, they were a simple light load.
As he began to move the items from one to another he spoke;
“By the looks of it, you’ve got a fine quality o’goods here. Where’re you off too?”

With a hearty chuckle, Astheny continued forward, nodding as he did so with a more physical motion of greeting as the mud parted beneath his hooves. This gave him pause enough to take note, and with a furrowed brow he looked closer to the road, to the cart, then back to the path.
“Ah, got yer’self stuck in a mirepatch then aye? That’d do in any toe’er without a bridle o’horsepower.”
Amber eyes creased with the smile on his lips as he resumed his approach, looking down to the small mare with the same care and gentleness he gave to all those below his eye-level - which was most creatures.
Tumblr media
He could tell she was a hard worker by the amount of muck across her coat and hooves, as well as the amount of…bottles? In the cart she was trying so desperately to save. Though, as he leaned down to look at the broken axel of the cart even he could tell there wasn’t much use in trying to put it back on.
For good measure, he put his shoulder to the underside - carefully as any moving delicate objects - and lifted it without so much as a ‘hrm’ in contemplation as the stallion observed the damage.
With a flick of his ear, he heard the movement of the mare behind him and once more put the carriage down to the road, and smiled. “Well, I ain’t think it’s gonna be fixable as it is, but If ye need a ride I’ve got room ta’ spare.”
Tumblr media
Straightening up from his lean his voice matched the same comforting confidence of his expression; “Though I’d give a name first for a pretty Lassie’s comfort. Name’s Astheny Overfree.”

/// Passing Introductions of New - Old Friends \\\
(Cont...)
Tumblr media
“Water flowers… that sounds lovely, miss. …Oh, uh, we should probably introduce ourselves, yes? I do not believe I caught your name. But my name is Avery, a… strange name in this land I have seen, but it is mine, nonetheless.” He says softly, taking a small bow as he gives the weaver his name. Though his stumble gave way from his obvious tiredness, followed by a yawn. “Oh.. pardon me..” He looks around at the field around them, the flowers still so captivating to him.
“Miss, I have to ask, what flowers are these? I feel like I have seen them before… or at least, a flower similar to them. They hum with a gentle glow.” he says as he crouches down to look at the nearby flowers that shift with the wind flowing by. The Plush hovering from his wings to the top of his head, now lingering against his curved horn, his large wings stretching out before he folds them on his back.
Tumblr media
The warmth of the smile, welcoming and unabating, eased the tension from cowled shoulders as her offer was accepted by the stallion who lingered ghostly within his tired obviousness - her smile mirroring his own, yet feeling cool as the nightly air that cascaded along the dew of their coats.
To ease, to help, to harbor the conduits for mental rest; soulful reflection, were the tools of her trade - and as the unprompted visit to her garden reflected, this Alicorn was one drawn by his own need for that safe nature.
Although, as the topic of names came to the conversation she felt her features flush bright, a rue of embarrassment crossing her features before she bowed her head in apology in time with his own courteous motion.
She had been taught better.
Tumblr media
“M-My name is Frae Welk- Or just Frae. It...It also is not a common name.” Her mirth was gentle as the winds that carried that bright pollen, though no phrases of ‘sorry’ or ‘forgive my rudeness’ passed her lips, the intention was there, braided into the stiffness of her motions - reflexive of a history unspoken.
Tilting her head as they both straightened from their cowed posture she continued, replying in kind; “I do not think your name is strange, if anything it is... Fitting.”
She could not explain how it was so, nor the syllables mimicking the turbulence of the aura that surrounded his heart, but it was... ‘fitting’ towards a stallion such as himself.
Of course at his continued tiredness, she felt the worry of her expression cross her eyes for a fleeting moment - but it was clear to her that Avery held no desire to bring it to focus, nor to have the ‘pity’ of care.
So she allowed it to pass uncontested, listening instead to his question; answering in kind, with a confidence that came from the knowledge of her safe truth and his kind attention.
Tumblr media
“There are many kinds in the field, these in particular are called ‘Lustra Blossa’... O..Or Lunar Flowers if you wish. They are an old seed that has... difficulty within other gardens, they do not pollinate like daylight flowers, and can be easily.... choked, Though if we keep them next to these, ‘Starlilies’, their petals serve to reflect akin to mirrors; they draw the sun during the day.” Her tail flicked in time with her muzzle to point to different areas as she listed a few more names; “Over there is ‘Astre Lanterns’, known for their spiraled stems that hold belled petals, beside those is a bed of ‘Crescent Wanes’ who’s petals are, as the name implies, mimicked of the crescent moon.-”
It wasn’t often that she got to speak on the nature of her gardens, nor the company to enjoy the quiet atmosphere of a starlight jaunt. So rare was this fact, that soon she had listed the traits and properties of several other flora before her eyes returned to meet the soft colors of Avery’s smile.
Tumblr media
“O-Oh S..Sorry. I ah... I got carried away.” Shuffling from hoof to hoof for a moment she leaned forward to pick up a light watering can to place a bit forward towards the Alicorn, a few others at her side filled as needed - better to have more ready made by Astheny than to force herself to walk to the well each time.
“A...Any you wish to water, feel free. Take your time.” There was no rush in the meditative act of this nightly garden. It was made to soothe, to rest, and restore the body - even if sleep was not an option.
But she need not tell him that; lest the exhausted stallion become aware of the effects of the magic.
@ask-tay-relic cont. from [X]
Tumblr media
A garden... shimmering gently as if the night itself was humming a tune to soothe the soul, a patch of delicate blooms that shine like the moon itself. Where.. has he seen these before? They are strangely familiar to the alicorn, something akin to another bloom that he’s seen in the past... but what? However, as he treads lightly through this garden, cerulean eyes meet shy ones. The mare before him was tripping on her words, which made him simply... wait for the other to finish.
Tumblr media
He knows how it can be hard to properly get words out, especially with someone that you barely know. Yes, you have seen them from time to time, but to actually meet them is another story. Her words are soft and subtle, the alicorn shifts his wings as he holds onto the plush that was made for him with them, the plush now looking as if it was holding onto the wings, tilting their head toward the gentle weaver.
Tumblr media
“Strange? On the contrary, it is a wonderful surprise. I may not get much use from it at the moment... but the thought that this gives me when I hold it...” The fiery prince quietly says, his tone as soft as ever. “Of a future... where I can give this to my... offspring.. It is a wonderful thought.” He then quiets himself, simply looking down to the plush and giving a smile. However when the jingle of earrings was heard, his ear flicks as he turns his attention back to the unicorn, a slight tilt to his head; seems she made the plush near exact.
Tumblr media
“Oh” he simply replies to her comment, a weak smile on his face. “Is.. is it that obvious now..? I have not been able to sleep proper in days, I...” he hesitates for a moment, not entirely sure what she means by the charmed spell that she wants to aid by; “Emotion.. That is a good talent to have, peace among all else. If.. you have a spell to help, I would appreciate such generosity, but... I would not want for this to go unrewarded. Would.. there be anything I could do to aid you, by chance?”

// How Sweet the Words - Nervous, Honest, True. \\
(Cont...) Man, he really needed to work on his social skills. Perhaps she can help? She seems to be the only one so far to not scream in terror or try to capture Bihorn.
Though… Was he being too strong about his feelings? She clearly was a bit taken back, so maybe he does need to tone it down a bit. But, then again, she may notice it… Hm. Maybe he should just lean back into the ‘aloof, badass hero’ archetype? Hmmmmm… If the stories he heard were any indication, then the ladies enjoyed being around those types of ponies! So, it’s worth a shot.
Instantly, his body relaxed. His face became more stone faced- Unreadable. “Yeah.” Bihorn mutters.
Tumblr media
It came as no surprise, fitting within the lonely understanding of the stallion that spoke to her, that his name was of his own choices; the eagerness of conversation soaked beneath his words, raised each syllable to the forefront of his mind to speak with that deepened clarity of the solitude that no doubt drained the days, bled the nights.
Her lips curved into a smile, softer than the ones prior, but just a genuine; tilting her head, feeling the cooled gem of her earring jangle against her cheekbone as she offered light words;
“Then, a first name basis it shall be. It is a pleasure to meet you Bihorn.”
No fear stalled her words, no anxiety to pepper her stutter, as there was no danger from the unique pony before her. The colors before her eyes was a myriad of chaos, this was true; unkept, untamed, coiled and tangled in the unknown.
But there was no threat in those excited hues.
So, there was no worry.
.... Although, as his questions were posed she felt her eyes widen softly, ears perk high as her lips pursed.
Tumblr media
“O-oh, is it weird?” Her mumbled musing was paused for a moment as she reflected on the idea, but swiftly regained that smile as she continued with a parted hum. “I live in the area... In... In the woods I mean.”
As she replied his posture changed and once more Frae found herself relaxed at the aloof nature of this strange stallion - the soft breathy laugh hidden behind her foreleg as her own demeanor regained that passive gesture.
It was interesting to see how his own struggles with interaction mirrored aspects of her own; questions spoken quickly, then corrected, worries of perception and of tone.
There was no an ounce of truth to the stories those unknowing created of the Bicorn who stood before her now.
Tumblr media
Letting her hoof once more touch the shaded ground, the stories swept through her mind. Well- some of the things were correct, but wholly misread. He did have the air of confidence for a ‘hero’ - and the aura of magical might - mix all these traits with the trials and tribulations of a warring crowd?
Oil and Water.
Frae kept her observations to herself, and instead gestured down the road with a flick of her tail, speaking once more with that vestige of confidence that came from talking with the safe, the known;
“Sometimes those within townships... Don’t enjoy things that are different... no matter how good our intentions.”
@tay-relic-replies continued from this ask
Oh. Right. It’s... Been a while since Bihorn actually interacted with somepony that wasn’t immediately terrified due to his status as a Bicorn. Well, actually, she might be terrified of him right now. Then again, it could be a mix of fear of the legends and the fact he... Sort of did come out of no where.  But, in Bihorns defense, he didn’t know how fast his boost spell would’ve made him! Besides, he just saw her, recognizing the Unicorn from when she dropped off his plushie, and, well... He got a little excited to meet his one- and possibly only- fan! Clearing his throat, he instantly tried to collect himself.  “So! To what do I owe you for this amazing gift? I can try to conjure something into existence, though, um... The last time I tried to conjure riches, I may have accidentally summoned a new creature into existence.” Another pause. “Oh, uh, don’t worry. It quickly disintegrated.” He failed to mentioned that it also exploded with the force of 20 of his explosion spells, but that didn’t need to be told, the Bicorn thought. That’s when he noticed her, ah... Hind legs. Though he didn’t give a facial reaction- He’s seen much worse- He did linger on it. “I can try to fix your back legs! Anything’s possible with Chaos Magic you know!” Once again, he failed to mention that there’s also the real possibility he could make her hind legs disappear altogether.

// Two Quiet Souls in the Road - Heartful and Earnest \\
(Cont....)  “W-Well, you know, I’m just… Doing my job! But, I mean, you didn’t have to make a plushie like this, you know…” The Bicorn immediately shifted into the aloof, reserved hero type. Which would work for him if his cheeks weren’t glowing with a slight green hue and his eyes were looking off towards the side. “So, I just kinda thought I’d pay you back for doing something you didn’t have to…” He adds on. Oh. Right. Introductions. Clearing his throat, he bowed his head. “Name’s Bihorn. Bihorn Zauber. Self, uh, named. Parents, uh… Didn’t give me a name before they dropped me off in the forest. And. Didn’t come back.” He responded with a cool, calculated voice, trying to not betray any weakness.
Tumblr media
The smile on her features was fair and equaled with a quiet laugh, gentle as the wind beyond the leaves that rustled around the road they lingered on. It was nothing at him of course, the mirth of bright eyes at the sweet nature of his expression calming any lingering static from the sudden startle of their meeting.
Although, as he spoke onward, bowing his head some from his taller stature - as small as she was compared to the general populace - Frae could not stop the way her attention caught notice of the fracture of his worded choice, the posture of collective brush off leading her easily to assume this was a topic he worked so very hard to pretend no longer wounded and poisoned him; a scar that had faded - despite how bright it looked.
But she would not pry more than a simple opening of the proverbial door, to allow his own comfort.
Tumblr media
Stepping a bit off to the side of the roadway (even though there any kind of carted traffic or wanderers were rare within the warded woods) she felt the fur of her coat tingle with relaxation as the shade of the boughs removed the sting of the overcast sun, allowing her to look up to study his unique features with that same casual respect that she would treat anyone else, focusing instead on the way his posture changed from that tempted confidence, speckled by the  flushed appreciation of the honesty she offered.
Blinking slowly as to half lid her eyes to feel the draw of her magic better allow her to focus on the aura of the unique companion, she tilted her head, feeling the silken blue of her hair drift against her cheek as she spoke;
“I think that is a lovely name- Would you... rather Bihorn, or Zauber?” To choose a name such as that gave her some indication of the inner conflict of what that besmirched history was, as apt as that name was to outright declare the trait that the stories so lurched on - was it chosen by them, or his own comfort?
@tay-relic-replies continued from this ask

Breathe in like smelling a flower, Exhale like blowing out a candle. One moment at a time.
After a few heartbeats, Frae felt the quiver in her voice stabilizing, quelling, easing for the situation as she listened to the words of the Bicorn who seemed to notice her (quite obvious) anxious fearfulness, working just as she did to calm himself.
Instinctually she began to brush aside his offer of ‘owing’ - finding herself pausing with a hoof against her bottom lip as his gentle slightly-humored dismissal of the disintegration of the aetherial summon. Even if the way it was phrased could be taken as slightly scary, she could tell by the look in his eyes and the curve of his smile that he was no threat; after all his overall aura gave that indication as well.
Tumblr media
Though her own eyes caught sight of the way those pale indigos lingered on her legs, there was no twitch of disgust, no tilt of the head that showed those so often given questions to her history - only the addition to his offer at the potential of ‘fixing’ them.
Leaning forward some to put her pressure on her front legs, she refocused her magic to stand once more - the sight akin to a newly walking fawn - but they stiffened and held soon enough.
Her smile was gentle, just as her voice was soft, as Frae replied in kind; far more confident in speaking now that she knew who, and why, someone had suddenly leapt at her;
 “Ah, n-no I... I don’t need anything Sir. It is a gift, and I am....I am just happy that you enjoy it.” She did not mention her legs nor his offer, but perhaps after a proper introduction, she could answer a more personal question or two.
As to punctuate the point she tried to meet his eyes - the anxiousness in her chest making her ears flick and her front hooves cross against one another - she cleared her throat gently to aid her speech;
“It ah... was rude of me to leave without in-introducing myself, I’m Frae Welk... I’ve heard about you i-in town... so...so I...” Her voice dimmed as her gaze lowered with flushed features “I thought maybe you would like...a present for your hard work...”

Oh. Right. It’s… Been a while since Bihorn actually interacted with somepony that wasn’t immediately terrified due to his status as a Bicorn. Well, actually, she might be terrified of him right now. Then again, it could be a mix of fear of the legends and the fact he… Sort of did come out of no where.  But, in Bihorns defense, he didn’t know how fast his boost spell would’ve made him! Besides, he just saw her, recognizing the Unicorn from when she dropped off his plushie, and, well… He got a little excited to meet his one- and possibly only- fan! Clearing his throat, he instantly tried to collect himself.  “So! To what do I owe you for this amazing gift? I can try to conjure something into existence, though, um… The last time I tried to conjure riches, I may have accidentally summoned a new creature into existence.” Another pause. “Oh, uh, don’t worry. It quickly disintegrated.” He failed to mentioned that it also exploded with the force of 20 of his explosion spells, but that didn’t need to be told, the Bicorn thought. That’s when he noticed her, ah… Hind legs. Though he didn’t give a facial reaction- He’s seen much worse- He did linger on it. “I can try to fix your back legs! Anything’s possible with Chaos Magic you know!” Once again, he failed to mention that there’s also the real possibility he could make her hind legs disappear altogether.

Her ears hang back as the aspect of ‘offspring’... of children, comes to pass, though the feeling is just as quickly hushed away along the bright floral stars, lingering only in unspoken nothings beyond the shared simmer of the expression the two shared.
Shared, and echoed, fraught as they were with the emotions within the silence of the meadow. She knew nothing more beyond what his aura would give, and even then it was turmoil. It was speckled with the hues of uncertainty, of stressful malignance that came from that unknown cause.
It was not something she could solve, she knew this. It was a journey of his own.
Tumblr media
“It-It is not as obvious a..as you think... I am just...” Different “-better able to tell th-these things...” She works to keep her voice above the winds, as gentle as they were, but as slitted eyes catch sight of the way pointed ears flick and twitch to catch her words, she knows the Alicorn can hear her.
The prospect of reward earns a jolt of her expression, shuffling once again in vague anxiety as her features flush faintly.
“T-there’s n-no need for that. I....I ahm...”
Tumblr media
Her eyes linger to the earnest expression he offers, to the genuine way his magic seeps as the heat to warm the cold of the night, so with a moment of breath she relents and offers;
“W...would you like to water the flowers with me? There are... many... and with my legs...” Her tail lifts to motion to the field around them, the farmland within the forest of Astheny’s ranch speckled and dotted along the hills of the horizon - with her own patch of land dedicated to the fruits and gardens of the nightly flora.
Frae knew fully that she could do the task on her own, she did so every night after all - but to care for the blossoms, to find the dew of Lunar Tears, she understood perhaps it would help to settle some of the calamity that plagued the kind stallion.

Tumblr media
A garden… shimmering gently as if the night itself was humming a tune to soothe the soul, a patch of delicate blooms that shine like the moon itself. Where.. has he seen these before? They are strangely familiar to the alicorn, something akin to another bloom that he’s seen in the past… but what? However, as he treads lightly through this garden, cerulean eyes meet shy ones. The mare before him was tripping on her words, which made him simply… wait for the other to finish.
I may not get much use from it at the moment… but the thought that this gives me when I hold it…” The fiery prince quietly says, his tone as soft as ever. “Of a future… where I can give this to my… offspring..
I have not been able to sleep proper in days, I…” he hesitates for a moment, not entirely sure what she means by the charmed spell that she wants to aid by; “Emotion.. That is a good talent to have, peace among all else. If.. you have a spell to help, I would appreciate such generosity, but… I would not want for this to go unrewarded. Would.. there be anything I could do to aid you, by chance?”

“ Well. Ok. I believe ya. But theres no shame in asking for help, so if you need a ride I’ve got plenty of free space on my back.”
Tumblr media
Her ears perked at the offer, a faint smile on her lips as the idea made her think of her housemate - the stallion who was most likely really worried about her being lost in the forest.  “If... that wou-wouldn’t be to mu-much trouble..”

“ Absolutely! It would be my pleasure. Are you… ok to walk?” He asked, looking over her quaking legs with concern.
Tumblr media
“O-oh! Yes I’m alright! Just a moment...” With a shaky stance, she let her concentration start once again on the brace, feeling the numbness of the limbs stabilize a bit more as she gathered her hooves under her.  As usual, keeping the spell at the back of her mind she hesitantly looked over at Tart with a sheepish smile. “It's...normal.”

“ No need t’ apologize. I’m used to it. I’m Tart, I live in these woods and if ya like I’ll be happy to help you through em.” He chuckled, looking around.“ Luckily I’m the only critter out here who’s bothering with you so far, heh.”
Tumblr media
“T-there’s... There’s o-other critters?” The thought didn’t put her at ease, but if Tart lived in the area it went without qualm that he’d have some inkling of how to get out safely.  “I would really app-appreciate your help Mr.Tart. Th-thank you.”

“ Aw jeez I gave you a fright didn’t i?” He groaned and suddenly sat on the spot, then laid down a bit leaving his head at her level.“ There! See? No more giant. Just a feller here to help.”
Tumblr media
She blinked, humming in her throat as she tried to talk again, quivering hooves pulled close to her body as he sat with her.  His voice was kind and the words were nice - kind of like Astheny.  “..............S-sorry. Tha-thank you... I’m Frae..”

What made it even scarier was the feeling of being followed, a normal sensation in the Everfree but made all the worse when you absolutely saw the shadow of some giant horned beast! It seemed relentless in tracking and finally upon catching up-
Tumblr media
“ Hey there! Kinda risky trotting around these parts all by your lonesome. You ok?”
Tumblr media
She felt her voice catch in her throat - a yelp or scream that pittered off into a low squeak - legs giving out at her small lack of focus to keep her magic charged. So she just looked up at the giant Moose with a quivering stare, which at the friendly tone and pleasant expression, gave her heart a bit of rest from the panic.  “A-aah Y-ye-yes! I, I’m just a b-bi-bit lost I’m sorry to both-bother you!”
