there's just something about becoming infatuated with a Babygirl that makes them more and more appealing to your senses the deeper you get into the rabbit hole. case in point: we thought Lars looked like a weirdly-buff Osamu Tezuka character at first but after playing T8 (and now T7 and T6) we can't help but be in love with him and his character design. it's so fucking cute we even have cuteness agression sometimes. just like when Dragunov does silly shit.

Dragunov is still Babygirl too, but he's also just objectively fae levels of gorgeous so there was never really an "issue" there.

As someone who's always preferred beat em ups to fighting games, we never thought we'd become so infatuated with one. But with Tekken we think we finally see at least a bit of the appeal. It makes sense to us in ways that most fighting games do not. There's not that disconnect between the inputs and the outcome where it feels like the moves and the needed inputs don't have any real connecting tissue other than the fact you have to know one to get the move to play.

But with Tekken you press the left punch button as anyone and they'll all do a left punch. How the pucnch differs is based on the characters' fighting style and the stance they're in. Like how Dragunov has his sneak stance and if you want Lee to do a backflip you actually press the movement buttons in the motion they would make in-game. It's great. We actually get it.

Dragunov definitely plucks his eyebrows. Maybe it's part of back when he was a teenage goth. Between his apparent love of skulls and the fact it looks like his lips have some sort of pale purple (maybe even black?) lipstick on them, we think he was/is a goth.
