Tween Regressor Hollyhock Moodboards & Headcanons

Tw for: mention of SA, alcoholism, drugs, being drugged, eating disorders and Polyamorous relationships. While I love Bojack Horseman keep in mind that it is an adult show meaning that despite these being agere headcanons some of them will be heavy like the nature of the show itself.

🐴 Hollyhock was a pretty okay kid until Bojack came into her life. She ate well, she enjoyed going out with friends and most importantly she had a positive self image. But after Beatrice drugged her in an attempt to help her lose weight everything seemed to go downhill. From there she found out that her birth father was not Bojack but Bojack's father Butterscotch which only further complicated things. Things were already rocky between the two but the breaking point came during the party in New York when Pete told Hollyhock about what Bojack did to Penny after prom. Hollyhock since cutoff contact with Bojack. Since then she's found solice in connecting with her inner child.

🌈 Holly and her dads don't have a specific label for what she's doing during these bouts of regression. They obviously all know that she's regressing but they don't feel the need to put a label on it considering it's not too incredibly out of the normal from how Hollyhock normally acts. She just has a lot shorter of a temper and needs more attention. But with eight dads Hollyhock is well taken care of. Her dads don't think that labels are necessary in this case, as long as their girl is happy it's just another part of who she is.

Here's all of Hollyhock's dads (next to Bojack for reference height), I needed to refrence this multiple times when making the headcanons so I think it would be helpful to just put here because for the reader I'm sure it's also tricky to keep track of all of her dads. This is from the official Bojack Wiki so it should be accurate lol

🌷Regressed or not Hollyhock is the biggest collector. Jellycats? There's a collection. My little ponies? There's a collection. Beanie babies? You better believe there's a collection. She has just about every beanie baby there is because all eight of her dads were swept up in the craze and bought a bunch in the 90s and eventually when they knew for sure that they were worth absolutely nothing they gave them all to Hollyhock.

🐴 Her favorite thing to do when regressed is make bracelets. She LOVES making bracelets. Any kind you can think of she can make. Rainbow Loom? Yup. Friendship? Totally. Beads? 100%. Kandi? Her favorite! Every chance she gets this girl is buying new beads. Whenever Arturo needs to go to the craft store Hollyhock always begs to come with him so she can buy new beads. Her favorites are the round glass beads but she normally sticks to pony beads because they're much less expensive and you can do a lot more with them.

🌈 Whenever one of her dads goes on a vacation they always make sure to bring her a souvenir. The only catch is that the souvenir has to be personalized because one time she made a comment about how nice it would be to have a keychain with her name on it. So ever since, Hollyhock's fathers have been trying to find a keychain with her name on it. The closest anyone has ever got was "Holly" or "They don't have my name" None of them have found a souvenir with her exact name on it yet but they're determined to find one. Hollyhock thinks it's endearing that they love her so much that they feel the need to keep looking for something that doesn't exist.

🌷"Fed is best". Her fathers have always made it a priority for her to know that you should love your body. However since Beatrice's little stunt Hollyhock has been more resistant to food, thinking that people see her as fat and that she needs to loose weight. Her dads are slowly getting her eating back to normal but sometimes she will outright refuse what's for dinner. Whether she thinks it's gross or she's just not in the mood, she won't eat it. This has been a common occurrence with Holly, since childhood she has always sort of done this. So whenever she does this her dads always make sure to make another meal for her. In their eyes it doesn't matter if she has marshmallows for dinner. As long as she's full and happy they're happy.

🐴 Her dads always bring her to fun places when shes in a younger mood. Whether the aquarium or the carnival they want to make sure hollyhock is having the best time she can.

🌈 She has a little handheld camera that she brings with her EVERYWHERE. She absolutely adores taking pictures of things. Flowers, animals, sunsets, you name it she has a picture of it.

🌷After her separation from Bojack, Hollyhock decided to track down Penny and find out if she felt the same way that she did. Sad and finding it hard to trust people. Once in New Mexico, she easily found Penny. They talked and became fast friends. Penny even told her that she also experiences regression and the two have been inseparable ever since.

I super enjoyed making these headcanons! I've never made teen regressor headcanons before, this was a lot of fun, I've gotta do more of these! @ramona-quinn thank you for the request! If anyone has requests I'd love to hear them!
