I got my vacuum repaired today.

I could be bitter that I had to execute such a menial housewife task. And that I was actually really happy I was able to get the vacuum repaired. But I won't. Sure, I'm a young wife. I'm currently jobless. I feel pretty useless right now. But I am self aware of the toxic habits my family has perpetuated in the past. Specifically the "bored housewives" in my family, in the past. It has been my mission to break the cycle. Which is why I am not too mad about getting my vacuum repaired or doing the laundry. I might have fit the stereotype but I won't be the stereotype. Because: -I've already broken the cycle of ignoring mental illness and self care: ✔️ -I've completed/continued my education regardless of my relationship status: ✔️ -I have stiff armed the appeal of substances and addiction when I feel emotions:✔️ -I have turned to hobbies and support systems when I needed help: ✔️ -I refuse to neglect my needs, health, desires, and dreams: ✔️ -I enforce boundaries with my spouse instead of letting him dictate everything: ✔️ -I have pushed myself out of my comfort zone because I know it would help me grow, I did not fear change (to an unhealthy extent): ✔️
