He pulled his eyebrows together at the man’s logic, looked up at the sign to make sure that the establishment was what he thought it was, but chose not to comment in fear of starting trouble, which was the last thing he needed today. “Oh, no, that’s alright. I just wanted to ask if I could use your bathroom.” He gestured to the stain on his shirt. “Spilled coffee on my shirt and I’ve got class in like, twenty minutes.” He could’ve just cleaned up in the faculty lounge, but he hated spending time in there as of late. People didn’t really understand the concept of minding their own business.
“Well, shit. I see that.” Tanner’s eyes fell to the wet, browned stain on the man’s clothing. “You’re welcome to use it, but here.” He ducked behind the bar, grabbing a cloth from the pile he had back there for wiping down the bar. “This will do you a lot better to soak that up then those cheap paper towels.”

“Oh, I’m sorry,” Camilla said, almost stepping out, but still stopping on her tracks. She wasn’t much of a beach person and the whole sun ordeal was really paining on her. It was actually bringing her down for some reason. “You don’t have a glass of water to give a complete stranger, do you?” She asked, hoping he did have something before she went on her way.
Tanner could see the worn look on the woman’s face as his eyes fell on her. “Water, huh? I think we can manage that.” He gave her a smile, nodding towards the bar. “Come on, have a seat.” He moved behind the bar, reaching underneath for a glass. “Ice?”

Ama grinned and shook her head. The urge to playfully punch the man on the shoulder tickled at her, but she knew it’d be awkward, so she held back. “Oh, shit,” Ama replied in a tone of voice that was probably a little too loud for a man with a hangover. “Sounds like you have better weekends than I do.”
“That’s the pros of having a bar." Tanner wiped his hands on his jeans as he approached Ama.“You gotta test out all the liquor. Make sure I’m selling nothing but the best to my customers. Sometimes that just takes a few glass fulls,” a low chuckle fell from his lips.

mandacjs:
It was one of her favorite places in town. Beach, beer, food… what more did she need? It had been a long day, and not even catching a couple of waves soothed her soul. She wandered into the place, salt still on her skin and clothes over her bathing suit. She just need a drink. “Damn,” she sighed. “I was hoping to have hangover recovery tomorrow. You seem to always be closed when I need ya most.”
An easy smile pulled at his features as he placed a box on the bar countertop for restocking. Elbows leaning against the box, he took in Chey with a playful offense. “Now tell me, how is a guy supposed to feel when you say things like that? Almost make it sound like I’m letting you down on purpose.”

“I’m sorry, we’re not open,” Tanner eyed the person that walked in. The only reason he had the beach entrance open was to bring in some things he picked up. “We are closed on Mondays for what I like to call hangover recovery from the weekend.”

“Brother, I have not had hardly enough beer for that kind of conversation.”
“So where do you think the soul goes when we die?”
