Monty is an anthropomorphized sea otter (exact method is unknown, sort of a rocket racoon situation in my mind) that was apprehended from their creator when they were very young. They were raised in Urbanshade facilities and now work as a sort of special agent employee there. After the fallout of the Blacksite Monty is made part of a task force of sorts with the goal of retrieving the scrambler and terminating Sebastian. the group is very hotheaded going into their first mission and of course it goes horribly, the group is scattered and most are killed. Monty manages to swipe the scrambler and retreat through a small opening into the open ocean in hopes of swimming to another section of the facility and quickly putting distance. this backfires when sebastian is able to pry his way out to give chase and catches up to them.

this specific moment is based off a little factoid i learned about sea otters on a sailing camp i took in monterey ca! aka the home of the vast majority of modern sea otters. great white sharks currently pose a notable threat to sea otters when they confuse them for their main prey, seals, and mistakenly bite them. while the initial bite is usually not fatal, that break compromises the delicate insulative layer otters create in their fur and leaves them vulnerable to a quick death by hypothermia.

anyways notes about my Sebastian semi-redesign! > mf is no longer part whale, I thought that was odd dna to include for the experiment since whales do not in fact have gills or any way to breathe underwater > CLOTHES-LESS I imagine he swims a lot and doesn’t want to be soggy all the time?? > I’ve heard from unofficial sources that his gun is a shotgun but I’m more inclined towards a handgun because of how he wields it > more color!!!! I imagine the sea snake and mantis shrimp coming out to give him a little more color and fun stripes :3 > lastly his angler traits!! it’s all based more on this one picture I found of a fanfin anglerfish!! they have more stringy-looking bulbs and a ton of other lights on their body ^ ^

I also like making him look less like a normal guy like what!! he’s mixed with a gazillion animals and I feel it’s super interesting to imagine during all this he’s also struggling to connect with his humanity! I will probably post more about him soon I have so many thoughts bouncing around in my head I’m gonna explode

I may have. rant-y thoughts about the whole marriage thing but that may also just stay in my circle

my freak ass iterator-sona i made to be in a group with my friends' freak iterator-sonas!

they were created specifically to study how the cycle affected wildlife and if a solution could be found in nature ^ ^ They live in a big ass glass dome with an isolated purposed ecosystem inside!!

after the mass ascension, AiE decided to spend their time trying to free themselves from their dome (called the BioSphere) and basically become an actual animal just free to roam and live.

they're best friends with the scav group living in the BioSphere and welcome in wandering slugcats ‼️💥‼️

their ecosystem has a bunch of new fauna im working on & ill post the flora sheet later!! spoiler: all the plants are pink because pink is actually the best color #trust

reworking how preserver’s story actually works because I had. A very unclear vision

SO

preserver was created sometime around uhh hunter’s campaign? When pebbles realized flushing the rot out was Not Working.

They have a hyper-extended lifespan or something and are basically rot pest control.

Preserver was able to slow the rot’s progress significantly, and focused on keeping pebbles’ memory conflux intact, under the guise he would create more like them, or a permanent cure.

Also. I’m under the impression that the blizzard of saint’s world-state is caused by pebbles’ collapse and subsequent jarring decrease in water usage. Suddenly less humidity = world reverts to cold wasteland. lmk if there are other theories/confirmed causes for the blizzard !! So because pebbles doesn’t collapse there is no blizzard. not super important but

every other slugcat arrives like normal, though I may change something with riv? I’ll have to think abt it

so eventually saint arrives right?! and I think saint has the courtesy to somehow allow the iterators a choice to ascend or not in some way. Pebbles of course being a freak sliverist is like ohmygod yes?? and preserver was NOT in the know about this so of course they’re like wth man what do you mean you want to die you can’t leave me alone?? Preserver doesn’t see a point in ascension btw for multiple reasons.

will refine things later in but this is the blueprint ❤️‍🔥 may even make a joypilled version where pebbles doesn’t die through some intervention

also very small side note but I like to give the iterators screen faces because I think they’re silly
