This lowkey is the best analysis of that fight which was much more of a dance tbf. All that effort Mocha did was less for to win and more for to get attention and respect and in the end he got it. Even before the fight Mocha was worried people would mock him after the fight, if that day 1 Clown hadn't been the way he was to him this would have never happened. But seeing fellow red members get killed and the tone that felt disrespectful was the fuel that led to that dance. Attention and Respect was both won by Pili that day. Even during the end when he asked the audience did they enjoy the performance which felt less sad for losing and more "hey do you see how long i lasted, do I get your respect now?". This is also a little sad because Bad said the other day to Pili when he was worrying about if Clown viewed him in the same light as he did, "it doesn't matter if he does, believe in yourself". Same with Pangi when screamed to Mocha to believe in himself. But somehow all his feelings were tied to how others viewed him and specifically how Clown did.
In the fight on the kings bridge- "are you impressed Clown"
"How was the Choccy milk Clown"
And everytime those answers led to disappointment but the drive to prove never stopped. But there were two people who believed in him throughout, who were always there for him, believing in him even though he didn't even believe in himself. But somehow that never felt enough. He pushed Pangi away cause he felt genuine feelings for Mocha and that felt scary to him while Bad was a comrade he trusted to never act on feelings and kept close. And even if they continuously time and time told him, that he got this, he can win, to believe in himself until the very end somehow Mocha never felt the same.
Mocha knew he was gonna lose the fight there but was it really about winning to begin with? Because it felt like it was to be recognised, respected and seen as a worthy opponent and give a good fight which he did.
So who really won here? A fight taken with knowing the consequences already but still wishing for it and preparing for isn't a loss.
And also how Bad said they might have won the battle but not the war :)
Still thinking about Clown and Pili. How one of the two dedicated everything to chasing the other, whilst that person hardly cared until the ones he swore to protect were threatened. One was feared from the start and the other fought with all his might to be recognised.
Thinking about how in the days leading up to the fight I would see Pili on the map grinding, occasionally with BBH or Pangi but often alone- especially the last day. Every single time I saw Clown online, Ros was there. One strode into the arena in newly trimmed armour, a confident air. The other hurried in, all anxious faces and warnings, last blessings from friends.
But most of all, I’ve been thinking about the fight itself. tr!Clown it seems is well used to this process, whether it be experience from ages or worlds past. He holds his ground before Pili even arrives, seeming to meditate though his martial skills do not yet give him the right. Pili can meditate- but a restless mind means he gains no benefit today. In their parlay Clown tells him all those months have been wasted, that declaration of devotion and desire for recognition- they mean nothing at all. He’s going to put Pili back in the ground. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. And to that, Pili offers no rebuke. All he does is ask, simply and patiently, for a dance. (And in that moment I think Pili wins. That simple “Sure,” is recognition and validation all on its own.) One asks, the other finally- finally, answers.
They face off against one another, becoming partners in a swell of blood and metal bound by the scents of swirling potions and leers of the audience. A gladiatorial match turned ballroom performance, with mounting consequences for every meeting of netherite and flesh or metal. For Clown, embrace means death- stand still too long and your opponent sees right through you. Your weaknesses are laid bare for only a moment, but long enough to lose it all. For Pili, that grapple is a fragile hope. A slim chance at cutting down the figure that continues to refuse him. So they dance. One twirls along the line between life and death as the other is slowly but steadily pushed over it.
Clown tears through armour piece after armour piece, pausing only briefly to fix his own as though it took a mere wave of his hand. Pili struggles on, donning new, enchanted netherite over and over again in an attempt to outlast the ebb and flow of Clown’s attacks. But you cannot hold back the ocean. One of them constantly slowed, stalling, the other fast, darting around to nip heels like a predator wearing down prey.
In the end, the ballroom becomes a stage. Pili turns to address the onlookers- seeking praise? Judgement? Regardless, he receives the acknowledgment he asked for from the realm. Voices affirming that of everyone, he was the only one who could have done this, who could stand their ground so long. Then he turns to Clown. When he tells Clown the fight’s going exactly as he thought it would I think Clown realises what it was all for. I think he realises Pili got what he wanted and he tells him such- “I’m glad to hear that.” We get no answer to Pili’s inquiry as to whether Clown is “strong enough for [himself]”, but I think he’s simply asking if Clown is happy with how strong he is, if he feels he can do all he must. On the other side it goes without saying that Pili is strong, yet he has never quite felt strong enough. Like Ros, he always feels inadequate in his abilities. One who has always known he’s strong enough to defend what’s dear to him, one who feels it’s always just out of reach.
When Pili moves to raise his final question, Clown stops to listen. The greataxe which has been swung relentlessly for the best part of an hour stills- and Pili is enraged. He WANTS to be hit, he WANTS the glory of being able to sit there and make people watch as he, armour-less, is unscathed. To be given respect by Clown in that way must be foreign to him- in all their recent meetings they’ve only talked whilst Clown is actively critting him out- maybe it’s the silence, maybe it’s the way Clown’s attention likely pivots from analysing Pili’s movements to suddenly taking note of his words. Maybe in the end he didn’t want to be given consideration in that way, who knows? All one has known is the other’s scorn, and all the other has known is that they wanted him dead- until now.
The greataxe falls and Pili dies, but there’s no gloating. Scavengers from above swoop in to pick clean the body of a hero, whose allies mourn his passing. When Scott asks “What’s next?”, Clown has no passing remark to make nor comment on the battle. (paraphrased) “I don’t know. That was fulfilling Pili’s wish, there.” The change in demeanour from the beginning, where he promised to bring Pili low, to now, where he grants his wish, is so incredibly stark. It must feel a hollow victory, to avenge your best friend but know their killer wanted it all along. It must be strange to get to know a person just before you kill them. One is dead. The other lives on.

Tr!bbh trying to make sure tr!Ros doesn’t self-isolate and spiral thinking their worth ends in what they can provide to people. Because he knows what happens when you do that. And for some reason he cares enough that he doesn’t want tr!Ros to go through the same pain. Baffling.
The only person other than tr!Tina, where he encourages her to stay in the Kingdom, or at least hints to going to purple in the worst case scenario. Telling her she needs to come visit the castle, to visit foolish and that tr!Tina would understand
His only reasoning why he’s kind of relieved she left Yellow? So he doesn’t have to worry about accidentally killing her from traps. I think that’s crazy. He was ordered to kill tr!ros, and in lore, he is unable to deny an order to kill.
But when faced with the actual thing, he couldn’t bring himself to do it. He hesitated, asking Ros first if she was okay with it, and when she said no, he completely abandoned the order and tried to loophole it under “I’m killing her with kindness” and set the death date to February the 34th… 10000 years into the future. He has gained a soft spot and he’s still trying to deny it, and he can’t understand why. Cause he has nothing to gain from everything he’s doing for tr!Ros. He’s openly honest and giving genuine advice, and it baffles him.
If only tr!Ros realised she has two of the most high leveled players on the server wrapped around her finger. Tr!Clown who has claimed her as a best friend, and tr!bbh is who against all odds, genuinely wants the best for her and can’t bring himself to hurt her. But her self worth is so low, she doesn’t realise how many people would do anything for her. It’s so sad to me
#trBad has been such an incredible unpredictable character in this server#I can't predict anything he ever does lately#like dude are you being sincere or it's just a well hidden manipulation#sometimes i think he himself doesn't understand why he is being soft and when he realises it he just justifies it#that's literally what he did the other day when he was questioning why he was being nice to Ros#Like what does bro want? conflict? is that why he doesn't step in when Pili killed Ros or when he was listening to Pangi manipulate Ros#like what exactly does he feel for Ros? Empathy or Sympathy or just an Intellectual understanding#or it just a hidden manipulative way to get her to become chaotic and inturn causing conflict#For someone who is a millenial old him struggling with accepting his emotions is interesting to see#Bro did get attached to the eggs and Bro also doesn't wanna accept that he sees that self sacrificial attitude for family in Ros#I am beginning to think him feeling emotions has been something he banned himself for ever doing after the qsmp cause it only brought hurt#or it's either it messes with his emotions so he is not trying to have them#and that's where the denial of feelings comes from as a coping mechanism cause he just doesn't wanna accept it

the parallels between ros and pangi make me want to chew off my own arm. like what do you mean they both lost the person they loved the most. what do you mean they're both under the wing of their faction leader, essentially the "apprentices" (for lack of a better word) of people who will find eachother in every life. what do you mean they're on opposing factions. what do you mean they started off kind and have slowly been hardened by the world around them. what do you mean ros has gotten a chance at redemption and pangi has been scorned. what do you mean ros has been favoured by the keepers while pangi has been discarded. what do you mean pangi has a few people who are all dear to him, and ros has many people who refuse to understand her. what do you mean their factions have opposite values. what do you mean they're both everything the other could've been. what do you mean they turned out the same either way--alone, suffering. what do you mean none of it mattered in the end. like what do you mean. what do y

I know you said you could protect yourself. You told me that you didn't need me to protect you. I know this was the choice you made, and you knew it was going to kill you. You were my very best friend.

Hey remember when Pili said he wanted to meet Bad's kids?
I hope he learns to love them as much as Bad does.
It should be pretty easy all things considered.
Do you think they have a recreation of the house they built? Surrounded by all sorts of flowers? Maybe new ones never seen by mortal eyes? All the prettiest colors, only the best for his children.
Maybe Pomme is still playing her flute and wearing her wings. Writing about all the mischief her brothers have gotten up to while their dad was gone. Maybe she writes about missing him but feeling safe and happy this time instead of afraid.
Maybe Dapper is still building things and experimenting, much to the angels' dismay but it's hard to kick a child out of heaven... maybe he can see and study all those animals he loved so much, up close, unharmed.
Maybe Richas is still being Richas, causing mayhem and making the angels' lives hell.. it is REALLY hard to kick a child out of heaven..but he's testing the limit all right. Maybe he's spending his days getting in trouble with his best friend and older brother, Bobby, like nothing ever happened and no time has passed at all...
Maybe Pili can learn to love them... maybe they all wave down at Bad during sunsets...or late at nights.
#Pili collecting flowers with Pomme and Pomme telling all funny stories about her Dad to Pili#Dapper sharing all his pvp knowledge and teaching Pili new tips and tricks to use when he comes back#Dapper would just be sitting there listening to Pili yap for a good while though#also Richas 100 percent makes fun of Pili for losing the fight#i can see Richas and Pili getting along super well they both share the comment traits of gremlin for fun
