Definitely not projecting, this is definitely not self indulgent trash... Pfff but now seriously. It does make sense for Bō to being a fan of our lord and savior Sun Wukong.

Considering Tang Bō's wealthy background, it's not unreasonable that he has access to a wide variety of texts, so he might have came across the lecture.

Sun Wukong is an agent of chaos (and a sweetheart too), and it wouldn't be hard for him to become fond of the monkey who turned the heavens upside down.

Lastly, as Chung Myung himself put it, Tang Bō is crazy, and "my best friend wants to f**k a monkey" sound very fitting.

Elder Sister Tang.

Technically non an OC, but a "character"I needed to include within my stories (and I'm including my rotmhs inspired novel) since I first read about her:

"Yet although the Tang Sect is common in wuxia fiction, it is actually ostensibly based on a real person. The original source is a martial arts manual anthology written by Wan Laisheng 萬籟聲 in 1926 called《武術匯宗》Collected Schools of Martial Arts, in which Wan Laisheng compiled information about many different martial arts techniques he had learned. In this book he mentions "Elder Sister Tang" of Sichuan:

有操五毒神砂者，乃鐵砂以五毒煉過，三年可成。打於人身，即中其毒；遍體麻木，不能動彈；掛破體膚，終生膿血不止，無藥可醫。如四川唐大嫂即是！

There are those who use Miraculous Five Poisons Sand, which is iron sand refined with five poisons and takes three years to make. When it makes contact with a person's body, that person is poisoned. Their whole body goes numb and they can't move. If it breaks the skin, pus and blood will ooze nonstop. There is no antidote. Elder Sister Tang of Sichuan is one such user [of this poison sand]

To me, she's the Tang clan's founder, but I'm adding a bit more about her character, and because I actually watched "the house of the flying daggers", I made her a former disciple from this gang, and later she started the Tang *Sect*, that eventually became the Tang clan. Making very ironic the fact that they are so sexist in the first place.

I added some resemblance to Tang Soso's design, Zhan's eyelid, the asymmetric bow beneath her chin is a reference to Bō's hairstyle, the hair from my other Tang OC... Aaaand a detail I'm sure everyone will notice.

Look, I really liked sword of the stranger, so I basically stole one of the mc's "name" (that means red hair) and, of course the color of the hair. Easy

Meet Xiaoguang, aka Chung Myungn't.

One can't top perfection, so adapting Chung Myung is a difficult task. Yet, I still tried to do something good enough. I redesigned the uniform, I needed to be at least a bit creative I guess. I don't care is not acurrate, even tho I'm receiving psychological damage for saying this, because at least I think it looks good. This is just the concept I'm happy with cause I've been trying to get this man right for months now.

I'm having headaches thinking what to do with the back, but I'll figure it out eventually... I hope
