Going from Norwegian to Spanish like

Norwegian: Verbs don’t conjugate according to person and most verbs don’t change their form very much between tenses. There are some irregulars, but they’re not hard to grasp :)

Spanish: Verbs conjugate according to person, tense, mood, tectonic activity and the alignment of the planets. There are so many irregulars you’ll be surprised when you come across a regular one. Hope you like verb tables because this is your life now! :) :) :)

My favorite misunderstanding I’ve had to clear up so far was a Japanese person asking me about the word “fuck”. Because apparently someone had told him if he said “fuck” in America that he might be killed on the spot. Which I think is the funniest lie that I’ve ever heard

so is it a thing in (american) english to use “texas” as a word for like, something that’s out of control or chaotic, or as like, “crazy”? like “that party last weekend was totally texas!”

because that is a thing people say in norwegian and i just think it’s important for americans to know that?

Blog site with the feel of a magazine. Brunch is very publicised and has a high quality of content.

Just… blogs… I don’t actually use these personally but recommend me some blogs if you find anything interesting there. Learning Korean with Humans of Seoul (facebook)

Language posts about any interesting grammar points/expressions/words that pop up in Humans of Seoul interviews. The Humans of Seoul page itself is also really good for reading practice.
