Artificial intelligence can simply be described as hardware and software systems combined to simulate human intelligence. To do so, they need to be able to ingest information and determine which information is best to use. AI makes up rules, that set operational processes that lead to conclusions. AI can correct itself in order to progress and ultimately define and pursue your business goals. It’s not only about analyzing data but also about interpreting it. AI does not only predict insights but it also provides personalized recommendations. AI is a system that learns in order to improve itself — it interacts with humans and learns to understand human feelings.

Can a machine predict which is the next movie you are going to watch? Can it make reservations to you for a restaurant? Sure! Nowadays, these artificially intelligent (AI) machines are performing a great job at replicating human intelligence. In the near arising technologies, the aim of keeping AI’s impact on society is very important in many areas, from economics and law of technical topics such as verification, validity, security, and control and it may be little more than a small disturbance if your laptop crashes or gets hacked, it becomes all the more important that an AI system does what you want it to do if it manages your car, your airplane, your electronics types of equipment, your automated trading system or your power grid.AI has been helping us to make more informed decisions, giving us a hand in our day-to-day routine, and has made our daily life routine a lot effortless. Even though there has been a lot of improvement in the field of AI, the intelligence of these machines is still weak. Artificial intelligence, particularly the fields of machine learning and deep learning, is disrupting nearly every sector imaginable—even the world of art. Still, many artists are embracing the technology for the new creative opportunities it brings.

one of the other ways the machines tend to perform tasks by themselves is through Neural Networks. As technology improved in a way that it has the ability to understand how our minds work and it is progressed to understand the concept of what constitutes AI has changed. Neural networks are rough simulations of the human brain. They have thousands of neurons that have millions of synaptic connections amongst themselves.
And yet, two amateur chess players with weak computers, but a robust machine learning system, beat both the excellent chess masters and the Supercomputer Hydra to bag the first place.
How was this possible? Well, first, Hydra analyzes the positions of pieces on the chessboard. Then, it calculated the possible movements of itself and the opponent team too. Using these set of probable outcomes, it made its upcoming move.
But Hydra was hardly a set of static, programmed rules. It does not have a memory. It could not use its prior experience to determine which move to make next. When we coach a machine to do that, we call it as Machine Learning. Although ML and AI are used quite interchangeably in common platforms, Machine Learning, just a current state-of-art technique which we have to implement AI.

In the near arising technologies, the goal of keeping AI’s impact on society is much important in many areas, from economics and law to technical topics such as verification, validity, security, and control and it may be little more than a minor nuisance if your laptop crashes or gets hacked, it becomes all the more important that an AI system does what you want it to do if it controls your car, your airplane, your pacemaker, your automated trading system or your power grid. Another short-term challenge is preventing a devastating arms race in lethal autonomous weapons. In the long term, you may have an important question of what will happen if the quest for strong AI succeeds and an AI system becomes better than humans at all cognitive tasks. As pointed out by I.J. Good in 1965, designing smarter AI systems is itself a cognitive task. Such a system could potentially undergo recursive self-improvement, triggering an intelligence explosion leaving human intellect far behind. By inventing revolutionary new technologies, such a superintelligence might help us eradicate war, disease, and poverty, and so the creation of strong AI might be the biggest event in human history.

There are some who question whether strong AI will ever be achieved, and others who insist that the creation of superintelligent AI is guaranteed to be beneficial. At FLI we recognize both of these possibilities, but also recognize the potential for an artificial intelligence system to intentionally or unintentionally cause great harm. We believe research today will help us better prepare for and prevent such potentially negative consequences in the future, thus enjoying the benefits of AI while avoiding pitfall
