Sarah gives the girl a curious gaze back. She feels like she's recognizing a soul that's similar to hers. Good thing she's not that busy with the tasks today.

"Just enjoying life. It's kind of intoxicating, wouldn't you say?"

Sarah grabs one of the lower branches and leans back, swaying in this faux free-fall stance.

the figure in the tree shifts slightly, a silhouette against the dappled sunlight filtering through the leaves. tinsley leans forward from her perch, one leg dangling casually off the branch. her golden hair, tousled and wild, catches the light, but there's something sharper in her gaze, a spark of mischief that belies her otherwise graceful demeanor. she smirks down at sarah, twirling a twig between her fingers like it's the most natural thing in the world. “me? I’m just… enjoying the view. a little higher up, people don’t notice you as much. or at least, they don’t usually.” She smirks, flicking a stray leaf from her skirt. “but you did. so, tell me, what’s got you skipping around like a giddy little sprite?” she leans back against the trunk, her expression curious, but there's a glint of amusement in her eyes, as if she already knows the answer and is just waiting to be entertained.

"I don't have anywhere I need to be, but I definitely won't say no to a kind stranger escorting me."

Sarah wraps an arm around the man's and immediately starts pulling him down the street in a leisurely stroll. Winnie is probably heading back to the little cabin anyway. For as much energy as Sarah has, the experiment was a drain on their slowly returning but confusing magic.

"I live in a cottage just at the edge of the woods," Sarah explains. "My sisters and I are fixing it up. It was too adorable not to move into."

Basil's eyes widened for a moment, then thin back into slivers as he evaluates the situation. Surely she didn't know what she was saying - inebriated people would often regret the things they said once morning came; best to not embarrass the woman. He still had a civid duty to help when he smelled danger.

"...Yes, if you have a place to be, that is," Basil knew quite a few people around town, and she didn't look familiar. He pulled his sleeve back and adjusted his coat. Though Basil could have his moments of quick action, it's been quite some time since he'd met anyone as... forward as this woman, "Do you live in town, or are you visiting friends? All due respect, I don't think it's safe to be dancing in the streets."

Sarah claps her hands, applauding herself. Then she looks over the menu. She's learning that taverns like this actually have regular meals they serve instead of just using what is available on any given day.

They all have such interesting names too.

"Can I try this 'mac and cheese?'" She sounds out the name like it's foreign. "Oh, french fries? I love the French. Those too, please. And anything here that you like too."

She grins at the server then sips another drink. Oh this one is strong. She puckers her lips like she'd just sucked on a lime. It's so fun.

It didn't take a genius to see this lady was a hit with the patrons - she was playing perfectly into that ditsy bar maiden persona every guy wanted to take home at the end of the night. Even Tiana could admit it was a pretty smart plan for getting free stuff, "Oh, all you'd have to do in bat those lashes, I'm sure."

They grabbed a menu off the back wall for the new visitor to take a look at - though the waitress had to practically shove their arm through the sea of waving hands to get back to her, "My advice is nothing with the chicken. Pretty sure we haven't gotten fresh stock in since the storm, so you'd be better off with something deep-fried and covered in butter."

Sarah bites her lip, giving the man her full attention, even as she sways in place.

"Well that depends, are you offering to escort me?"

She runs a hand up the man's arm. Even bundled up as he is, she can feel the strength under the cloth. He appears slight and unassuming but underneath, he's brave and formidable.

Oh the things she would do to him if he let her.

With the amount of undercover work Basil had to deal with in his trade, he was no stranger to being flirted with. Moreover, he could be fairly certain by the seductive drawl of her words that she could've been a little tipsy. Then again, he didn't smell alcohol on her breath as he pulled them out of the road - maybe she was just awfully confident that this rescue attempt would lead so something else.

"I wouldn't call it lucky, you could've gotten run over," He took a step back once they'd gotten to safety on the sidewalk. Though he'd usually like to take stock of a situation like this, he couldn't even see the lady very well in the pitch darkness, "I think that's a better question for you, ma'am, did you need help getting somewhere?"

Sarah finishes her third drink that had just been handed to her by the waiters. She feels bubbly inside from the different drinks. Fruity and sour and burning. It's amazing.

She looks up and sees someone more feminine this time. She giggles.

"What's the best food here? I'm starving. Think they'd pay for it too?"

She looks to the men looking back at her. She waves and winks and the majority of them immediately try to wave down the waiter again. She laughs.

Restaurants had been pretty busy after the power outage at the beginning of the year. If people's power didn't come back on immediately, they didn't really have a choice but to eat out and hope that nothing in the fridge was rotting too terribly. This meant a good thing for Tiana's tips, of course, but it also meant a flood of new faces at the bars and diners that Tiana wouldn't usually see.

Not a problem, so long as they were nice and polite to the wait staff. As they finished serving a round of cheap draft beers to a group of college students, Tiana returned to face the rest of the bar, lined with men eyeing the new face in town - a pretty lady with long hair who seemed more than happy to receive their attention.

"Anything I can get you that they didn't already order for you?" Tiana joked, figuring the other bartenders had already comped several drinks for her from other patrons hoping to get her number.

Sarah skips around town. She's on a mission from Winnie but she's finding ways to have fun doing it. Like taking a long walk in the park and looking at the people. Lots of interesting people. Many who get caught up in looking back at her. It's so entertaining.

Then she spots someone up in a tree and she just has to talk to them because of course.

"Hi," she calls up from under the branches. "What are you doing up there?"

Sarah slowly walks around and through the rubble of the lighthouse. Winnie had sent her to look through the mess and see if there's anything noteworthy about the place. It had been one of the places hit hardest by the storm that led to their escape. Sarah is adept at working through tangles and messes to find the real troubles or noteworthy parts.

Of course, she's not subtle in her wanderings and studies. She's skipping around and twirling, humming made up tunes or giggling loudly.

"Not at all, though I may just faint. Big strong man like you catching me? Must be my lucky night."

Sarah giggles and gives the man a flirtatious look. It's kind of her base mode. Flirtation is almost a hobby of hers. Seeing how easy some people are versus others. Who can she capture in her beautiful webs.

"Where are you off too this beautiful night, handsome?"

Basil had bundled up and left his house in a hurry once he'd realized the darkness was cast over the entire town. Ever the diligent hero, the detective was sure that trolleys would be stopped, cars might crash, or drunk people might need help getting home. With no street lights to illuminate the way, everyone might as well be travelling blind throughout the night.

Which was precisely why, when Basil saw the younger woman twirling her cares away in the street, he practically rushed to get her out of the way of a car coming down the same road, "Yes of course!" He was just doing what any concerned citizen would've done, though it shocked him that he hadn't even noticed the danger, "Are you hurt?"

Sarah runs out in the dark night, reveling in the power even temporarily coursing through her veins. After the centuries in the Underworld and clawing their way back, feeling her and her sisters' powers rising up again is magnificent.

She twirls in the middle of the dark street, having been told to run off her excess energy from Winnie. She definitely doesn't mind, whirling around in her modern flowy clothes and fur lined coat. It's exhilarating.

She trips in her boot heels and stumbles into someone she hadn't noticed in her joy.

"Oh, sorry," she says with giggles. "Thank you so much for catching me. Wouldn't want to sprain this ankle after I just got it back."

Biography

The youngest of the sisters, Sarah considers herself the Maiden of their Maiden, Mother, Crone trio (much to her sisters' annoyance). She doesn't care though since it means she gets so much attention. And they rely on her to lure in their marks for their spells so they can't complain too much. But she knows she can't do much on her own. She's 1 of 3 and without her sisters, she doesn't know what she'd do.

Their death over a century ago really put a damper on things and Sarah can't remember much about the time in the Underworld. She remembers a sense of hopelessness and feeling lost, unmoored.

But now they're back and following her sister's lead, Sarah is ready to cause more and more chaos in this strange new world and this odd town.
