"They're very fun. The good news is though, you can kind of pick whichever here and find something cool about them." It wouldn't be the first time someone mentioned Finding Nemo in the aquarium and it certainly wouldn't be the last. "We do! Tons of them. There's some right...-" It took a second, but they spotted their colors, "Right there. There's a few different kind, but the ones you want are in that piece of anemone." A shake of his head, "No, no- you're a-okay. I don't mean to bring down the mood. Why'd you want to know? If you don't mind me asking, I also don't mean to pry."
Clems eyes widened as she saw the little fish that Cade was talking about. She liked listening to him talk about something which he was clearly so passionate about. "Oh that's really cool actually. I like those little guys." She laughed. "When I was a kid, I was obsessed with Finding Nemo, you know? Clown fish were like my thing for so long. Do you have any of them?" She didn't know if that was a stupid question but she hoped not. "No. You're okay. It was cute." She shrugged. She chewed the inside of his cheek, though, as they started to stumble over their words, "Sorry. I didn't mean to bring up a touchy subject."

"I feel like at this point hun, I find you more often in my office than not. It'll be embarrassing if I keep up this level of cleanliness," Diana was not surprised to find the other waiting for her. The two of them more or less spent every working day together. Sometimes the amount of tours took Clementine away and sometimes Diana had things piling up that she couldn't spare the free conversation for. But mostly? It was the two of them together in some regard.
"I like your outfit today," She smiled, putting down her bag on an all but filled desk riddled with papers and books. Pushing the circular glasses further up onto her face, she popped open said bag and began to unload for the day. "I should get you a personalized chair."

"Very much so," They confirmed. "Right...-there!" Cade gestured to a fish that swam with a few more of its same color. "Coco Damselfish. They're among the smallest on the reef but they're super protective. Will even try and fight divers if they get too close. I like their spirit." Turning back to her, he shook his head. First for her apology and second for the comment of girls. "Think nothing of it at...at all. I just realized I might have jumped the gun in my excitement and that wasn't fair to you. As for the girls, I've brought one other girl d-down here and it was...-it was awhile ago. L-Long story on that one."
Clem was pretty much in awe as she looked up at the tanks. She couldn't believe how pretty it all was down here. "I bet it's a really good place to come and think." She nodded. "Your favourite?" Clementine asked, turning to look at Cade. "Which is your favourite?" She sighed as she realised he had read her emotions - not like she had hidden it too much. "It wasn't you, Cade. Not really. I'm sorry." She sighed. She didn't want him to think that he had done something wrong. "Now, tell me." She looked back up at the tank, "How many girls have you brought down here?"

There's something special about someone seeing this side of the tank. The quietness that came with it. The sheer amount of color. It felt even more magnificent to Cade down here and he always hoped others could feel that too. Bright eyes slid across the familiar patches of reef over the rock, the tiny and colorful fish moving to and fro. "Right? Beautiful down here. It's definitely a place to kind of quietly think. It's easier to see of the more docile fish-" They point to a particular one with a funny looking mouth but a colorful array of scales like that of a blue toned rainbow. "-Parrotfish. Absolutely terrified of their own shadow so you don't see them topside a lot, but they're an example. With any luck we can see my favorite. I hope it was worth the scare."
She just had to keep reminding herself that Cade hadn't actually done anything to make her distrust him. He had been kind. And, up until this point, she had enjoyed spending time with him. "I'm sure." She nodded, giving him a small smile - that didn't quite reach her eyes - as she followed after him. As she saw where they were though, she almost forgot all about everything else. "Oh wow..." Clementine whispered as she looked at the reef exhibit. "This - it's gorgeous."

He could feel his expression drop. Something was bothering her. Maybe it wasn't their business. Especially not to pry. They had met moments before. Empathy could be incredibly powerful. "If you're sure. I don't...-okay," They weren't going to push the issue. Instead they stepped in line with Clementine, gave her a smile and pushed through the last stretch before going through the doors. On the other side was plush, carpeted private viewing space of the underside of the reef exhibit. It was not large, but had enough room to be able to move and gawk as so many important guests did. "Here we go."
Clementine was already thinking about all the things that she would be able to show them. She was excited about it, really. It wasn't often that she found people who were as interested in this kind of things as she did. Cade certainly seemed like he was. She was pretty excited about that. And if it wasn't for the fact he was a human - humans can't be trusted - she would have no worries around him at all. "It's - it's okay." She shrugged, shaking her head. She watched him closely as they spoke. They seemed genuine. "No. It's -" She shook her head a little, as though shaking the nerves away, "It's all good. Lets keep going"

"That's exciting! I can't wait." See, Cade didn't realize a lot of things. In his defense, he was a human. He had no idea about her hesitation with these sorts of spaces or his kind. So when he led her down a hallway, large but not expansive by any means, they didn't realize that it was making her nervous until the sound of her voice reached them. Turning around, his eyebrows shot up, "Oh! I should have warned you better; I'm so sorry, Clem." Nickname already? That was Cade. "We're taking a side hallway cause this is the bottom of the largest tank we have and it's not for overall public use. It's at the next door, I promise. But if you're too nervous with being down here or what have you, I completely understand."
"Oh, absolutely!" Clementine smiled, nodding her head. "I'll absolutely repay the favour the next time you're over that way. It would be my pleasure." She loved showing people around the museum. It was her safe place and getting to share that with people filled her with endless joy. Though as the entered through the side door, Clem did begin to get a little nervous. From what she could tell, he was human and it wasn't like she had much of a good experience with them. "A - are - Where are we going?"

"Oh! That sounds like such a good time of a job; I'm so jealous." Cade was honest, though they loved their job, but it was very cool to hear from someone working there. He had swung by twice in his life and always yearned to go back. "You'll have to show me around the museum the next time I come through. Assuming, you know, you'd be up for that. Would never want to be a bother to anyone," Through a side door and down a small flight of steps to get to one of the private viewing rooms saved for 'special clients.' (Ones meant for Merfolk, but Cade was still unaware of such goings on.)
Clementine looked down at his hand and then back up at him, a small smile on her face, "Nice to meet you." She nodded. Was that true? She didn't know. As fae, it was a little tricky to be around none supernatural and she was almost certain that was the case with Cade. "I get that." She smiled, "I work at the museum so I think it's probably a similar feeling for me there." She shrugged. "And getting to learn all the new things - there's nothing like it." She chuckled.

"Clementine! It's a pleasure. I'm Cade-" He took a moment to turn and give her his hand so he could give it a proper shake. "It's a pleasure, big time." Why? Because meeting someone, anyone, was always a pleasure. "Do I-Oh, very much! I love my job here. There's a lot of interesting things about all of this for sure. But also, I get to meet and interact with so many new people. Despite how the town can feel like a small one, it always seems like there's new people out and about." Did Cade have any indication of these people being from somewhere a little more...supernatural? Not a clue.
Clementine chuckled to herself a little as she followed after Cade. She definitely found herself pretty intrigued by him already. "Alright, amazing." She chuckled. She fell in step with Cade as she glanced over to him, "I'm Clementine, by the way." She introduced herself, "Do you like working here, then?"

"Hardly, hardly," Cade whispered, but didn't want to do belabor the point. He had already felt bad enough pulling her away from her own curiosities. It was a wonderful thing to be curious. "Trouble? No, no- not at all. I'm definitely encouraged to show others some of the more intricate stuff. Shows how amazing it all is. Follow me," Cade gestured over his shoulder with a warm, somewhat excited smile and then led the two of them away from the tank they had 'rescued' her from.
"It's a little bit of a rescue." Clementine smiled. The exhibit at the museum for the artifacts that they'd gathered for under the sea was one of her favourites. She was completely fascinated by it all. "Yeah, it's insane. I've never seen anything like it, actually." She looked back into the water before she looked back at Cade. "Oh, that would be amazing, actually. You won't get into trouble, will you?"

"Oh. No, no, not a rescue at all," Cade smiled at her. It was a nice change from the teenagers trying to throw random objects into the pools just to mess around. "I understand getting lost in it. At the least, it's colorful. At the most, it's really something to behold. Something kinda outside of words," Cade half whispered, glancing at the coral reef and then back to Clementine. "If you'd like a closer look, I can show you. If you're up to it of course; I don't want to bother."
Clementine had always been a pretty curious person and she was particularly curious about the ocean - it was the one place the Faes didn't have control over, after all. So maybe she got a little too interested in the coral. That was, until she heard the others voice. "Oh." Clementine laughed as she moved back a little. Her gaze moved from the reef to Cade and then back again. "Sorry. I didn't even realise how close I was to tipping over." She chuckled, "Thank you for coming to my rescue."

"That's not fair. You can't just...just point out when I'm blushing. Not fair at all. You're cute...-You're cute all the time," It was a poor attempt at a retort. Her tone is quieter, slightly embarrassed though there's still a large smile on her face. Her eyes were squinted and her shoulders in. It was more of a pouting expression than anything else other than that smile. One that Clementine brought to her face so easily. The beauty of working with your best friend after all.
"Please do! Tell you what; if you're planning on baking and bringing things in, I can make some things for you too. Some meals to share with it. I do all the cooking at my house so I can always cook more and goddess knows we eat lunch together often enough anyway," Despite the softness in her tone and volume, there is excitement in Diana as the idea spreads through her mind.
"And you are mine!" Clementine smiled. When she had first met Diana, she knew that the two of them were going to get along but she had never really realised just how much they were going to get along. And she really enjoyed it. Her friendship with Diana was one of the most precious things to her.
Clementine couldn't help but laugh a little more as she saw the blushing. "You look cute with a little red in your cheeks." She teased. She almost couldn't help it. Because playing with Diana like this was always fun to Clementine. "Perfect. Because I plan to make so many more things. I'm really getting into baking at the minute. So expect a lot more."

"I would never change my mind on you! You're my best friend!" It was an honest truth she spoke. Diana didn't have too many real friends. Some work ones sure, but she spent so much time in the library and between that and the homeschooling, it wasn't exactly like she made waves in the formative years.
Eyes widened slightly and her hand adjusted the frames on her face once more. There was still heat from the blush but it was diminishing. "A dream come true with me? Stop! You're too much. I definitely will try whatever you make; you know I'm always ready for what you have," She said it all, as she did everything, softly- gentle, like her voice was closer to a breeze than something human.
"Well, I just gotta make sure that you don't change your mind, right?" Clementine laughed. Diana was her first, real adult friendship and she treasured it a lot. She probably spent more time in her office than she really should have but no-one had complained so far. So Clementine wasn't about to stop.
Clem shrugged, "I only say what is true." Her smile only widened as she spotted the blush on her friends cheeks. "That would be like, a dream come true." Clem nodded, "Second to you having lunch with my today, yeah." Clementine had a few tours to do today but she had plenty of time to fit in lunch with Diana. "I made some lemon cake. You have to try it. I think it's my best yet."

"And how could I possibly want you away?" She replied with a quiet tone, the smile wide on her cheeks now. She unpacked her things fully and placed the bag onto the floor, careful of how she moved in such a cramped space. Hands adjusted the skirt on her hips as her eyes moved back to the other woman.
"S-Stop! You flatter me too much," The witch replied with a tinge of blush splashed across her cheeks the instant the compliment hit. "I'll see what I can muster up. As for the docket, I'm in a slow track today. Just doubling down on things I've been reading. You want to have lunch later, is that it?"
"Well, how could I possible keep away?" Clementine laughed. A work day when she didn't get to see Diana was a sad day indeed. She at least liked to have lunch with her friend. It made the days go by quicker. "Hey, I'd still love you if this place was a 'sty so.."
She looked down at her outfit as her friend complimented her, "Oh thanks. Thought I should try and look as good as you." She shrugged. She sank down in Dianas chair with a laugh, "Like one of those director chairs? With the name on the back? Yeah, I want one of those!" She joked. "How busy are you today?"
