for mod: super cool u made custom sprites without the bandage!! it really makes ur blog unique :)
I'm happy they're cool 😭 it took like two straight days of work to figure out. I'm just crossing my fingers that I didn't miss any animations I'd want, as loading the model back up would be a pain in the ass...

(About murderpollo)
Ooc: WOOO another Kristoph parallel sprite! :0
// Yeees LMAO I actually made it a day or two ago but I was waiting for an opportunity to use it... It works like a fuckin charm if I don't say so myself 😎 (i love giving my comfort character trauma)
at this point i also think black psyche locks are tied to the stabbing part specifically which is another parallel even if it's not like... visually evident. though that makes me think... maybe I could find the psyche lock models/textures.... hmmm

Can someone explain what happened with mured!pollo? (I lost 90% of the lore)
tl:dr The Cosmic Turnabout/5-4 goes sour and Starbuck is found guilty of Clay's murder, situation drives apollo fucking crazy because he "knows Athena killed Clay" (aka his bracelet is going off @ her) (also is suffering from a concussion, just lost his best friend & a general role model, is hella injured, and all the other usual stressors), eventually convinces self that the courts can't help him and the only option left is to kill her in retribution
so he poisons her with atroquinine (of course) but also ends up stabbing her with the GYAXA knife (of course) bc he loses control of himself. now he's just. convincing himself he did the right thing whilst also trying to dodge suspicion.

probably said this before but but it’s funny that 50% of the asks on here are “murderpollo: i know what you did.” and the other 50% are “haha ur so silly! i love you!!”
// It is SO funny, yeah 😭 You'd think it'd be hard for me to flip between the two while answering but I think them being so distinct actually makes that easier
// It is funny to tell my friends, like... yeah, someone's reading me my miranda rights on tumblr. I mean it's not really me being asked, but you know

You do a great job at animating the sprites :0 I’ve tried 3d animation before and it’s always a pain so I especially have appreciation for it.
To be completely honest everything you see on this blog is the extent of my experience with 3D animating! which also means ive been only doing it for uhh.. i think a week at this point. I think I'm just good at brute forcing things (also if ace attorney is involved it gives me a huuge boost to like. wanting to do it & improving)
To be fair I'm not having to deal with actually rigging the things, or skinning them, or fully texturing them... Though I want to do that! I want to make a gyaxa knife to give murderpollo specifically >:)

murderpollo au is amazing but it makes me feel so awkward bc i run an athena blog 😭
I can at least assure you that I, mod Brody, do not hold any ill will against Athena 😅 nd the only reason she dies is convenience/apollo had brief ill will against her already
I'm not sure who else he'd be 'able' to murder. Maybe if he's cornered in a really desperate situation, it could be whatever aggressor was relevant?

mod I love ur murderpollo sprites so muchhhhhhh especially the one where he’s hiding his face in his hands and his bandages have BLOOD on them???? So awesome :DD
Fun fact, he has no eyes in that one! Like, I straight up hid the models. More of a 'creepy fact' than a 'fun fact', but you know.
again i'm happy people are enjoying them !! I'm making most of them on complete whims & they take a decent amount of time to work out so that makes them worth it.
have a looping version of the 'running out of frame' one i just made. bc it's cool & deserves a posted version that doesn't end after like 3 seconds lmao

Ooc: I think it’s interesting that Apollo is actually the one closest to Kristoph in his respective au, like his type of “crazy” is a lot closer to what Kristoph’s probably was to what Klavier is experiencing in his respective au. His murder is also more similar to Kristoph’s, with the poison used and how it was planned. The stabbing also mirroring how Kristoph killed Zak. (With it being mainly a emotional irrational action, that’s locked behind subconscious barriers.)
Honestly I love this au sm. I always thought that Apollo was the most likely to actually murder (or have a villain arc.) out of the WAA despite having the most upright morals. (Because, to me, the more ridged your morals, the more likely they are to *break* and not bend when put in extreme circumstances.)
// the poison was admittedly planned to be analogous to Kristoph, but I never thought about the stabbing! I am happy it works well, since I literally only initially added that because i liked the idea of him smattered with blood and holding a knife (but also didn't want to pass up on him using atroquinine). Black psyche-locks are also fun, even if it doesn't end up being very relevant for most asks/rp
// there's also just... how crazy driven he is. I just explained it in the tags of one of my rp responses, as him being like a plane propellor. It gives an incredible amount of unrelenting, forwards force, but... the moment it clips something, even slightly, it rips itself apart. With this au, his focus was diverted for just one moment, and he's suddenly spiraling to the point of committing murder...

(About Murderpollo)
Ooc: I find it interesting that unless Apollo outright tells them his motive, they probably won’t connect it, since its almost entirely internal. Theirs no reason at the moment to suspect Athena of Clay’s murder, so he has “no motive” for Athena’s murder.
YOU'RE RIGHT
even if there starts to be evidence pointing in his direction, people would probably be like... no, that can't possibly be right. Athena does openly mention that Apollo has an incredible amount of anger in his voice, near the end of 5-4, which makes me think she would eventually notice it was entirely directed at her & mention as much to Phoenix... which could maybe point towards Apollo more. But even then there's no outwardly clear motive behind those emotions, either.
technically the forged fingerprint on the lighter might still exist but I feel like fakebright wouldn't bring it up/would destroy it if it wasn't needed (i.e. if Starbuck was found guilty)

(Motive asker (just gonna call myself that from now on lol))
Ooc: I find it fun that Kristoph had a indirect ‘hand’ in both of the ‘murder au’s for Apollo and Klavier. It’s less obvious with murderpollo but I personally think that Kristoph’s whole deal def pushed Apollo further to the conclusion that Athena killed Clay. After all he trusted Kristoph and look where that got him.
This is further pushed by the whole “you’ve had murders with motives you couldn’t ever dream of” thing with Phoenix when he asked what her motive could’ve possibly been. I think it’s a direct reference to Kristoph as his motive for killing Zak was never made clear (you can have plenty of plausible theories, but.. none of them are confirmed, I still see people debate his motive to this day.)
Sorry I’m rambling I hope this makes sense 😅
// The guy really just... corrupts everything he touches, doesn't he? I feel like normal Apollo is like, a little aware of the fact, which makes him a bit nervous if he overthinks it a bit. Then again, I also headcanon the fact that he visits and talks to Kristoph post-AJAA, so... he isn't exactly fighting against the influence, as much as he might like to think he is.
// I think it's an important part of his character, though, since it can put him at odds with other main characters (in particular Phoenix) and open up new avenues of thought in cases. However, when it's left unchecked, he ends up stooping to the lows his mentor was sitting at. That's really how a lot of personality traits of his work, he is truly full "unstoppable object" in many ways.
// Yeah, Kristoph's motive can have been a few things. The last time I brought it up to someone (stating that it was never specifically clarified) they told me that it was as plain as day... their theory made sense, but it was just that. I usually just say that it was ambiguous.

Ooc: I personally think that Kristoph is also a very unrelenting passionate person, I mean we see it very clearly in his breakdown. I think Kristoph just puts that behind a barrier of “cool”, and that he’s very good at it.
Too me that’s the main difference between Kristoph and Apollo (besides the obvious differences in morality.) is that Apollo is a lot more of a genuine “wears his heart on his sleeves metaphorically” type of person with Kristoph constantly putting up a mask and hiding his true emotions.
(Just my interpretations and thoughts lol)
// I do think that, as much as he thinks he might be good at it, Apollo kind of sucks at masking his emotions. Sure, he might get the general gist of it down, but ironically his nervous tells are his downfall. To add extra irony, I usually say that most of his tells are also related to his eyes... though I suppose that's an aside!
// The 'being super unrelenting but hiding it under a cool persona' thing with Kristoph is definitely true, I would agree. I mean, hell, we see how intently he follows after every single thread relating to the murders and forgeries he was behind... perhaps that will be the case with apollo here, muhaha /hj

Ooc: I did not expect Murderlavier to be the one to keep pushing the other’s (Murderpollo’s) buttons but I’m here for it
// it's definitely made me realize how unstable he is... Like, thank god he's been isolating himself socially, because if he tried to normally talk to anyone at this point, I feel like he'd sorta out himself instantly LMAO

(Not an ask. Just letting you know that, in canon, Apollo arrived in the US at nine years old. We learn this when discussing Nahyuta's age when Amara was on the run with them. Nahyuta claims he was ten when Dhurke rescued Amara. Dhurke found out Amara was alive and rescued her shortly after Apollo was sent abroad, less then a year after. Since Apollo is one year younger than Nahyuta, it means he was nine when he was sent away. This also aligns with when Apollo met Clay. Apollo and Clay met in middle school, so Apollo would have had to arrive before that.)
// I guess that fits with the 'around ten years ago' at least (I mean is 14 'around ten years'? I think that generally counts), which is all I was basing the age on.
// I'd say I was surprised that I missed the more specific version of it, but I also for some baffling reason thought Apollo was 3 years old when the royal residence fire happened for an obnoxious amount of time (since when i played SoJ in 2016 to when I replayed it three ish months ago)
