Stage 1 - “I’m fine, I swear!”

mild glitching

no features shown yet

still the same - short

nervous

Easy to NEUTRALIZE - just play along or offer a little bit of reassurance, maybe keep an eye on and check in with every now and then.

Stage 2 - “Please be okay…”

moderate glitching

minor transformation (partial layer of static on eye, visible mouth, clawed hands, thread feather tail, legs get a little fucked up - the more stress, the more features out)

slightly taller (by an inch or so? not very significant)

very vulnerable + anxious/paranoid, severe worry and clinginess/protectiveness

Slightly Difficult to NEUTRALIZE - lots of reassurance needed. don’t leave alone for too long. stay nearby or in sight.

Stage 3 - “You knew from the start, huh?”

severe glitching

full transformation (complete layer of eye static, fluffy, developed feathered tail, etc.); dinosaur? raptor-ish?

HUGE (about three times normal size?)

mania - pretty unstable

Very Difficult to NEUTRALIZE - wait until NEUTRALIZES on her own. once detects someone, will give chase and not stop searching until caught them. if a person is caught, they won’t be able to escape. no seriously, she’ll trap them in a hug until she NEUTRALIZES. most likely very irrational, so have patience and be wary. showing pain, fear, sadness etc. instantly works, but she’ll feel guilty for a long while.

Can she harness this? Possibly. Maybe depending on the situation. If she was protecting Maziri or someone else that’s close, she’d probably maintain rationality as HYSTERIA level increases.

woah fleshing out this concept was actually pretty fun. might do the other subjects characters next.
