1) popular opinion: ztans are the most annoying people in this entire world(I was looking at some of ztans' blogs and I had to stop myself from rolling my eyes at least 4 times) like they always blow everything out of proportion when its not necessary and I feel like they use zayn's anxiety (and the reasons why he left the band) as some sort of excuse to be assholes towards other people who haven't gone through what zayn went through, like every other person who hasn't experienced THAT is

2) an ungrateful bastard who doesn't deserve to be lovedHeya, I’ll try to keep this short since I have a habit of exceeding the word limit ajsdhakjda but I know you sent this while I was answering the previous ask. I have to say this, Zayn gets a lot of shit and a major reason of that has deep rooted racist and islamophobic origins. I will never belittle Zayn’s constant struggle with being a proud Brown Muslim boy who’s doing what he wants to do. Being a POC myself, I actually can relate with Zayn. Having said that, I think people need to realise that even as they are conscious of Zayn’s struggles, they’re constantly ignoring the others’? The other 4 have it easy by virtue of being White, but Liam of all of them has had struggles of his own?Liam has spoken about his body image issues, he’s spoken about alcoholism, he’s spoken about his eating disorder, he’s been open about being bullied, he’s constantly receives hypercriticism for even things that he’s not even done wrong, by these very empathetic and sympathetic ztans? Lol, gimme a break. If they think they can absolve themselves of all the shit they throw on Liam by being concerned about Zayn, then they’ve got a fucked up mindset, but like, we already knew that, hadn’t we?Yes, Liam shouldn’t have mentioned Zayn’s leaving -- which btw contradicts what he said back in 2015, when Zayn has left just a months before that interview, and he said that he understood and all was good and they were in touch, so like, fuck off with y’alls selective memory. But let’s not sit and pretend that Zayn’s not had a problematic promo run of his own. I say this often but ztans are harries 2.0. It’s actually interesting to observe because both Harry and Zayn have had an eerily similar narrative, believe it or not. The both of them are exaggerated grown up versions of who they were back in 1D, Harry is still a womaniser and Zayn still likes blondes and sex. Zayn and Harry have taken digs at 1D’s music, considering Liam and Louis were heavily involved with the songwriting and Liam despite the genre not even his favourite, has given his 100% to the band, vocally, musically, pretty neat of them throwing their ex/current bandmates/friends under the bus but nobody bats an eye over this. Both were catapulted with sure shot success because one was the Golden Child while the other boasted of sensationalism, the one who broke away first. I am not taking away from their talent, yes the both of them made good albums, but come on, their star power has always been higher. Not to mention how these two are the only ones with Major American PR relationships. That helps. As unfair as it is, Zayn got into the map of many people who would have dismissed him because of his PR relationship while Harry and Taylor would always be a hot topic, 10 years from now even. Of course, there’s also Kendall and all the other females here and there. And all these girlfriends are besties and under UMG, lol. Zayn and Harry both have a more fashion-esque edge also, career wise, so there’s another parallel. Harry’s done a feature film, Zayn’s spoken about maybe dabbling into movies plus he has that cameo appearance, yeah? There’s a hell lot of parallels and it makes sense their fans are equally obnoxious.Anyway, ztans and harries have the most inflated egos for obvious reasons, so they do develop a complex and that shows. Like, I say call people’s hypocrisy out for the constant Zayn hate but how do you pretend to be always in the right when you’re doing the same to somebody else? Zayn and Harry both deserve better, imo.
