Dylan and Zoya met Dedric Melville and his wife, Melonie. They have four children, Bernard, Dana, Drew, and Danial. Some of the kids have Marzhan Koziyeva's nose (generation 5) and the entire family has the Ciaran Delaney white hair (generation 8). I don't understand how genetics works in the future, but Dedric and Melonie both look a lot like Dylan. Hmmm.

WIP Meme:
I was tagged by @jomiddlemarch - thank you, kind friend!
Rules: Share the titles of each of your current WIPs and if your followers ask, share a preview of the one that sounds the most interesting. Send this on to ten mutuals who you are curious about what they're working on.
- Customs & Duties, PotC post- Curse of the Black Pearl AU - the vain title take Of lord of thee, and arbiter of war, PotC AU during Curse of the Black Pearl which actually changes NOTHING about the main plot, which is perhaps the meta-point about inevitability and destiny in Elizabeth Swann’s life?
- When Spring comes back with rustling shade, the second and final part, Mercy Street WW2 rarepair AU - Blood is Thicker, the Mercy Street/Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter crossover that no one asked for and yet y’all have very kindly been politely interested in whenever I mention it rattling around in my drafts?
- Greasey Luck to the Whalers, the FO4 bullshit with the noble cause of giving Piper Wright a girlfriend buried under the author’s slight tendency to go a little Melville every now an again. OL’ PEG THE GHOUL WHALE LIVES.
VARIOUS WILDLY BELATED PROMPTFICS, including: - ease one life the aching, the Mercy Street & Shadow and Bone crossover that is shamefully light on the Grisha-verse lore where I refuse to Ravkanize names because I’m ... really bad at this, y’all, but Anne Hastings and Zoya Nazyalensky would probably get along like a house on fire? - this night for to go with me, the modern Ghost and Mrs. Muir AU, which I cannot explain without making myself seem insane, actually, but no one is dead, Anna Muir learns about drying codfish, and Lucy Muir doesn’t have the worst time in the world at the annual sea music festival. - The Winter of Our Discontent, a Timeless casefic that gleefully ignores anything after 2x10 because, contrary to ridiculous falsehoods perpetrated by the wrap-up episodes, Garcia Flynn and Jessica Logan are immortal, and I patently don’t care about the rules of time travel. If only I bothered to leave myself actual notes on the case ...
Tagging, but no obligations!: @fericita-s, @mercurygray, @sagiow, @broadwaybaggins, @r-osehips, @montmartre-parapluie, @theonlyredcar, @jamesnorrington, @tatyana-dreaming, @maggzblair, and @shoshiwrites!

The next time Zoya came to visit, Dylan told her he had a surprise for her. In the cab, he tied a bandana around her eyes as a blindfold.
"I don't know how I feel about this kind of surprise, Dylan," she said. "I feel like I'm being kidnapped."
"You know I would never hurt you, right? And this is a really good thing. But if it's really making you uncomfortable, you can take it off."
"No," Zoya said. "I trust you."
The cab stopped and they were met with a soft sea breeze.
"Are we at the ocean?" Zoya asked.
"Not exactly," Dylan said. "But there are beaches nearby and the ocean isn't far away."
He positioned her in front of a bungalow style house with red painted siding, a welcoming porch, and a yard with a few trees. Dylan's heart was thumping as he reached up and untied the blindfold.
"What...?" Zoya's eyes widened. "What is this?"
"I sold the apartment for a lot more than what I paid," Dylan said. "So...I bought this for you. For us. I know you're still working on your degrees and I would never ask you to give that up. It's just...there's no one for me but you, and I want this to be our home."
"Yes."
"Yes?"
She smiled she tiled her face up to his. "Yes."

After Emit stepped back into the light and disappeared, Dylan called for Zoya to come outside. He took her hand and they stepped into the portal...emerging into a whole new world.

Dylan felt a special kinship with Melonie Melville because she reminded him of his own mother, and Zoya loved trying out advanced technology with Drew. All of it--the future, Oasis Landing, discovering family--was overwhelming so they didn't stay long, but promised to return on their next visit to the future.

When he returned to St. Claire and told Zoya what had happened, she was furious. "How could you do this?"
"I was curious."
"You ruined a perfectly good future because you were curious?" she said. "Our descendants, gone. Their pristine community, trashed. And on top of it all, you convinced enough people in the present that the future doesn't matter. How long do you think it will take before our time in history is a mess, too?"
"I...didn't think of that."
"Clearly not," Zoya said, coldly. "I'm going back to university and I'll be spending breaks with my family or with our friends. The Dylan I fell in love with was kind and thoughtful. I don't like who you've become."
"I can fix it," he offered, weakly.
Zoya shrugged. "So, fix it. But not because you think it's going to win me back. Fix it for the right reasons and then maybe I'll consider forgiving you."

Zoya was quiet in the taxi back to the Oasis Landing Community Center, and when the got out of the hovercar, she announced she was going back to St. Claire.
"I've been doing a lot of thinking," she said. "We don't know which decisions we make might change the future, and I can't bear the idea of getting close to the Melvilles and having them just...not exist. Since I have to go back to campus for my final degree, I think you should travel alone. Don't do anything stupid."
"You've met me," Dylan said, a smile playing on his lips. "I can't promise that."
Zoya laughed. "Then make the best decisions based on the information you have, and try not to mess up our family, okay?"
"I'll miss you."
"I'll miss you, too," she said. "But when this is over, maybe we can make things official and start a family."
"I hope so," Dylan said.
"Me, too."

The Almanac of Time indicated they had descendants at 307 Ascension Street, so Dylan and Zoya decided to go meet their future family. They were dazzled by the hoverboards and the plumbots, and the taxi was a hovercar!

Zoya: When we met, could you have imagined that we'd still be together?
Dylan: Honestly? Yeah.
Zoya: Really?
Dylan: The first time I saw you, it was all over for me.
Zoya: That is the sweetest thing anyone has ever said.
Dylan: So...I was wondering...do you think you'd want to move to St. Claire with me? Maybe get a little apartment? You've still got two more degrees to earn and I have a whole bunch of stuff to do, but...maybe we could do our separate things...together?
Zoya: I love you.
Dylan: Is that a yes?
Zoya: It's definitely a yes.

No Rules Legacy - Favorite Spouses
I've already shared my favorite heirs, so now that the legacy is complete, I'm going to share my favorite spouses. Who was yours?
Noel de la Cruz (Generation 2)
Fun fact: Noel was a random homeless townie that Kana befriended in high school.
2. Jeffery Dean (Generation 1)
3. Ciaran Delaney (Generation 8)
Fun fact: I used Nara's college nemesis, Jacob Salaman, as the base sim for Ciaran.
4. Kekoa Solomon (Generation 6)
Fun fact: I made Kekoa for Daisy, but she had such a wild time in college that he never had a chance.
5. Marzhan Koziyeva (Generation 5)
Fun fact: My daughter made Marzhan back when she was still playing.
6. Zoya Melville (Generation 10)
Fun fact: Zoya was a game-generated roommate when Dylan went to university and I only changed her hair, clothes, and makeup.
7. Alejandro Luna (Generation 4)
Fun fact: Alex was a random explorer in Shang Simla that caught my eye and I grabbed him for Noelle.
8. Mason Shimada (Generation 9)
9. Anna Beck (Generation 10)
Fun fact: Anna was married to Suzuki Hinata in another short-lived save of mine and the two of them shared a single brain cell.
10. And even though he redeemed himself in the end, Ben Trigger (Generation 3)

Sims University is proud to share that all the residents of the newly renovated Malan Hall completed their studies with honors. Although the students worked very hard to build and maintain their grade point averages, we believe their modern, well-appointed dormitory played no small role in fostering their success. Congratulations to Jenna Collazo, Garrett Hawke, Zoya Melville, Oscar Ortiz, Dylan Shimada, Deidre Tomlin, Kezia Vines, and Jaimey Wilkie. Sims University wishes you the best, no matter where life takes you.
